If you want a classic example of "small," a pretty good place to look is on the hallowed heights of the Twitter elite.
Elon Musk made Twitter a $43 billion offer to buy the whole company, which amounted to a 38% premium to what the stagnant stock had been trading at before Musk laid down cash to buy his first share. Any normal person would have taken it, as they'd find themselves very, very, well-compensated along with everyone else who owned shares in the company. Any ethical person would put the Musk offer out to a shareholders to vote, given the potential payout. But Twitter's board is none of those things.

ure enough, Elon Musk pulled the trigger, handed Twitter a fat offer of a buyout, and it's been nothing but bonkersville ever since.
According to CBS News:
Elon Musk is offering to buy Twitter for $43 billion, saying the social media company "needs to be transformed as a private company."
The billionaire and founder of electric car maker Tesla, who earlier this month disclosed he owns a 9.2% stake in Twitter, proposed in a regulatory filing on Thursday to buy all of the company's outstanding common stock for $54.20 per share.

LOS ANGELES - A former Democratic political donor who supplied drugs to two men who overdosed in his West Hollywood apartment was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in federal prison.
Ed Buck, who was found guilty last year of nine felony counts, faced between 20 years and life in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
In a sentencing memorandum, federal prosecutors said he lured young Black men who were often experiencing homelessness, addiction, and/or poverty to his apartment for sexually charged sessions in which he would inject them with methamphetamine and drug them with sedatives, with and without their consent.

As Vladimir Putin embarks on his Plan B — a massive military operation to try to grab at least a small bite of eastern Ukraine to justify his misbegotten war — I thought: Who could give him the best advice right now? I settled on one of America’s premier teachers of grand strategy, John Arquilla, who recently retired as a distinguished professor of defense analysis at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. When I called Arquilla and asked him what he’d tell Putin today, he didn’t hesitate: “I would say, ‘Make peace, you fool.’”
This is also known as the first rule of holes: When you’re in one, stop digging.

Democrats are facing a nightmare scenario with about six months to go before the midterm elections.
Inflation, immigration, the war in Ukraine and the still-lingering COVID-19 pandemic make for a dreadful political atmosphere for President Biden’s party.
The problems are compounded by Biden’s weak approval numbers and the historical pattern whereby a president’s party typically loses seats in the first midterms of his tenure.
Some Democrats believe a turnaround is still possible, or at least that losses can be kept modest.
But others, granted anonymity to speak candidly, sound a louder alarm.

Millions of Americans are paying taxes this week. What worsens the pain is to see President Biden spending our tax money on hotel stays, debit cards and cellphones for migrants illegally crossing the southern border.
Mr. Biden is rolling out the welcome mat.
Illegal border crossers will no longer be treated like criminals but more like customers. The president’s fiscal budget, presented March 28, cuts funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement by 8 percent despite an expected surge in migrants and reduces detention beds.
Meanwhile, Mr. Biden’s increasing funding for a speedier service for migrants entering the country illegally, with more flights and ground transportation. Kind of like a travel agency.

Mark Zuckerberg, whose $419 million "Zuckerbucks" vote-rigging operation played a significant part in swinging the election to Joe Biden in 2020, now says he's a changed man.
A representative for Mark Zuckerberg confirmed the Facebook CEO will not make another multi-million dollar donation to aid this year’s elections, which comes after fierce pushback that Zuckerberg’s 2020 contributions tilted the outcome of the presidential race toward President Biden.
"As Mark and Priscilla made clear previously, their election infrastructure donation to help ensure that Americans could vote during the height of the pandemic was a one-time donation given the unprecedented nature of the crisis," Ben LaBolt,

A stopped clock is right twice a day, and sure enough, that brings us to White House spokesweasel Jen Psaki.
The latter spoke the truth for once, at least on the words "extraordinarily elevated," now that the consumer price index (CPI) has been released, showing a higher-than-forecast 8.5% rise, and sure enough, for once she was right.
According to the Daily Caller, she tried to prime the ground for the coming number just yesterday:
“Because of the actions were taken to address the ‘Putin Price Hike,’ we are in a better place than we were last month, (snip)
The rest of her statement was garbage.

In their never-ending quest to remake and remodel California into a greenie socialist paradise, the tsentral planners running California have once again blundered like boobs again, failing to anticipate the unintended consequences of their feelgood 'food waste' law.
The law, which went into effect this year, forbids restaurants and groceries, no matter where the heck they are, from discarding unused food and legally binds them to donate it to food banks instead. No word from the report on whether the items are old or expired or unfit for human consumption. We'll just have to take the greenie word for it that it's all a good thing.

Remember Fiona Hill? The famous witness for Adam Schiff's staged Trump impeachment show, has been getting around these days, commenting for the press on the Russian Ukraine invasion, and showing us all she's a regular gal. The former NSC official during the Trump administration who tried to do Trump in during his impeachment hit "Face the Nation" over the weekend, and did a long interview for the Times of London.
Her Russia commentary was self-serving and worse still, she demonstrated what a disingenuous hypocrite she is.
Here's what she told a gushing interviewer from the Times of London, who began with:

Former President Barack Obama tweeted support for President Biden Tuesday evening shortly after an embarrassing video emerged from a health care event the two hosted earlier in the day.
Obama visited the White House, for the first time since leaving office in 2017, where he and Biden hosted a health care event in which they touted the Affordable Care Act and discussed options for making health care more affordable.
The former presidential duo was united again under the White House roof, but pictures and videos of the event showed people adoring the former president, even to the detriment of the man currently serving in the White House.

Horning in on Florida's democratic process, Disney has made a spectacle of itself by effectively declaring itself a political organization intending to work for the rescission of Florida's parental rights law. That's the falsely labeled 'don't say gay,' law, which is actually about not teaching sex of any kind to children under the age of eight, Contrary to what the Hollywood elites claim, there is no reference in the law to the word 'gay.' That hasn't stopped the loud statements and misinformation coming out of Disney's top executives (Snip)
But there are signs that that noisy wokester stance not going over well with Disney's 77,000-plus employees
