The race to replace the late Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska) in Congress is a crowded one, with more than 50 candidates looking to take the state’s only congressional seat. Donald Trump will certainly get to prove his status as Republican kingmaker in this race, as he’s just announced his “complete and total endorsement” of former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
“Wonderful patriot Sarah Palin of Alaska just announced that she is running for Congress, and that means there will be a true America First fighter on the ballot to replace the late and legendary Congressman Don Young,” Trump said in a statement released Sunday night.

Good news. Mrs. Palin is a great patriot, and I hope that Trump's endorsement will help carry her to victory.

Forgive me for fantasizing, but she needs to win, and then the new Republican majority in the House needs to elect her as Speaker of the House!!!!
Can you imagine the lie-beral heads exploding from coast to coast?!?!?!? The wailing and gnashing of teeth by the MSM would be so satisfying!!!
Hey, a girl can dream!!!!!!!

The only down side is that she would be so valuable as speaker they may not want to pull her for VP.

Hopefully, one or two conservatives won't run as independents and split the vote. Republicans have a tendency to do that.

Since most Congressional seat elections are subject to the "all politics is local" axiom, can anyone tell us how well-liked or respected Sarah Palin is nowadays in Alaska?

Well, I love Sarah and would love to see her get elected just to make the Squat [not a typo] even more rabid and silly. And as Speaker of The House? Excellent. Make the libs angry and ugly, more so than they already are.

Do you Palin fans understand the winner of the special election will only serve until January? That is the remainder of Young's term.

Ok now Sarah, this time study up on the issues and don’t think you can just go out there and wing it all the time. You have to shed your well deserved image as a light weight. Be more Margaret Thatcher and less AOC.

#11 I know little of Alaskan politics but I would think that anyone who won the election for the rest of Young's term would be a shoo-in to win in November.

Re #7, in many cases those "conservatives" are PAID to do that to split the vote by Dems and RINOs who do not want a conservative to win.
We had that happen here in Kansas, barely kept Kris Kobach from the Senate in the primary. A damned rich plumber, who had lots of name recognition from his plumbing business ads running on radio and TV for years, ran and took just enough away from Kobach to let a namby, pamby Repub win the primary. And that guy is now our semi-invisible, occasionally slightly useful Senator instead of a real true patriotic, intelligent conservative who would have been a huge benefit to the country.
I am convinced that this plumber was paid to do this hit job on Kobach, and probably paid handsomely, too.
In an eleven candidate primary, this plumber got enough votes that it kept second place Kobach from being the Repub candidate. The rourth place guy, a former football player, took another 6% chunk.
The state Repubs are run by RINOs and did NOT want Kobach to win, so they got this plumber and former football player, each with enough pre-existing name recognition to peel off a chunk of support, and each running ads about being "conservatives for Kansas" and just tens of thousands were fooled and the RINO candidate won the primary, which in Kansas, is pretty much the election for the Senate seats.
So, in the light turnout of the ALL IMPORTANT primary, they RINOs intentionally split the vote and kept the conservative patriot out.
If real conservatives ran the state party, they'd have convinced those two to NOT run for the good of the state and party. But I'm sure that behind the scenes, they FUNDED those two and recruited those two do keep the conservative from winning.
Beware the RINOs running a state "Republican" party. They often manipulate things very corruptly behind the scenes, and are Deep State folks who are looking for other RINOs to elect, and conservatives to keep out of power.
