A federal judge ruled Monday that President Donald Trump “more likely than not” attempted to illegally obstruct Congress as part of a criminal conspiracy when he tried to subvert the 2020 election on Jan. 6, 2021.
“Based on the evidence, the Court finds it more likely than not that President Trump corruptly attempted to obstruct the Joint Session of Congress on January 6, 2021,” U.S. District Court Judge David Carter wrote. Carter’s sweeping and historic ruling came as he ordered the release to the House’s Jan. 6 committee of 101 emails from Trump ally John Eastman
This really from the Onion, right?

Since when does a judge get to file a supposition as fact? How has this been proven?

So some people send each other emails discussing what to do about the blatantly stolen election, did not even cc their emails to Trump and this idiot judge says that means Trump likely committed a felony??
Wow....

The slimeballs are TERRIFIED that DJT will run again. All classes are shaking in their boots, even the judicial who REFUSED to evaluate solid evidence of voting fraud. See no evil they said.

Innocent until PROVEN guilty, a personal opinion of "more likely" isn't Proof, nor a "Conviction"....nor does it firmly establish any " Afore Knowledge of criminality".

Judge David Carter committed, and it is a fact, not a more likely, violation of every ethical rule of his profession, and should be removed from the bench. It is getting very tiresome not to have a single person that will do the right thing.

It's only his unbiased nonprejudicial hostile opinion. This isn't the corrupt political hack judge you are looking for. Nothing here, move along. Don Lemon will get shivers and juice running down his leg with this story. The View will have a yenta party and cackle fest over this too.

What else from a Clinton judge. First thing the Rebublicans should do is impeach this clown and subpoena every tax record, campaign contribution of both the judge and his family. A little accountability is in order for an out of control Just-Us branch of goobernment.

A judge says the former president more likely than not committed a felony? Since when does a judge (unless he’s a hack) make such pronouncements?

I like #24's plan. Turnabout is fair play. The reason the Democrats are fighting so hard to get something on Trump is they KNOW he never forgets! It's Him or Them in this fight and if they can't shut him down, they know they are Toast. One by one Trump will take them down. It might take all four years of his Presidency, but he will find a way. #24's idea is a good start. Maybe the new Republican Congress should take his idea and apply it to everyone on the Jan. 6th Committee!

The Iranians released the embassy hostages just before Reagan took office. They knew trouble when they saw it. Perhaps Pelosi’s gang of goons will release all the J6 hostages just before the Republicans take over Congress, to say to the gullible, “We freed them, not the Reoublicans!”

Either two or three times before Jan. 6th went down, Pres. Trump offered 10,000 troops to be ready just in case. Every time Pelosi refused them. As Speaker of the House, she is responsible for the safety and the security of the Capitol. He offered, she refused. She is guilty of dereliction of duty. Her impeachment should happen asap. But I won't hold my breath. This has become a complete farce.

As someone who has spent his entire career in the law, the notion of filing one or more lawsuits as constituting a criminal act is astonishing. Carter was once head of the homicide division of the L.A. District Attorney's Office. I guarantee you that he has never heard of an "illegal" lawsuit.
