When my mother called me in from play one afternoon to meet the man seated in our living room, her introduction was redundant—I immediately knew who he was. And, right off, I did not like him. His absence had been a painful matter in my life. The house that we lived in explained some of it. It was unfit for human tenancy—a decaying hovel with a leaking roof, creaking structures, and a termite infestation. I was ashamed to let anyone other than my closest friends know where I lived. "And since violent crime offenders are overwhelmingly male, we are actually speaking about 6.5 percent of the US population, not 13 percent." 6.5% is half of the blacks but not young black criminals. Its more like 3% is committing that 44% of crimes

While I commend this man's mother for divorcing a man that was violent, the advent of welfare made the whole absent father syndrome even worse. Probably more so for blacks, but this has affected all races, since the sperm donors feel that the state can take care of their children.

Well, good for Mr. Washington. And maybe he has done some good for his family and immediate community. We respect him for this. But the American community needs thousands and thousands, and maybe millions of fathers more like him. I no longer feel anywhere safe in the cities where I was born and grew up--Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Md. And it is because of the terrible collapse of the black family, and their community. The Democrats under Lyndon Johnson's Great Society money programs told us this would solve poverty and moral collapse. But like other Democrat buy-outs they create more dependency on government and free the black male of any responsibility they may ever have felt. Yes, maybe too many of them prefer the "dark cave of slavery," after all. How sad.

All you have to do is watch the now canceled Maury Povich show for a week to see what this out of control baby making has done to the black community. Especially the children. You can have sex without reproducing, duh. But it is not just the men. What about the women (girls) who are happy to have relations with any male who knocks on their front door. I can accept the fact that a woman has a child out of wedlock but when she has five kids by three different men by the time she is 24 I have a problem with that. I work in a large school system. I see these kids everyday. It is heart breaking. Why does the black community accept this behavior? Too many kids of every race and creed born out of wedlock. Every statistic ever kept on this kids shows a downward trend on everything they do. Of course these kids can move on, become educated, further their education, work, join the service, have a good and decent life. But like it or not they are few and far between. I have had sickly students in class and when asked why they are not at home it's because mama is having a boyfriend over today, or because we get free breakfast and lunch. They break my heart. For whatever reason we don't want to talk about the elephant in the room when it comes to so much of the crime we are seeing. They are black males but I see more and more women joining them.

Interesting article. I have to question why the author is still a liberal. It is liberals, like those Blacks who rebuffed his views, who keep the idea of victimhood of Blacks alive and keep Blacks on the liberal plantation. Leftists, liberals and democrats have done very little to really help Blacks because it is not to their benefit to do so. All they do is say the "right" words and throw money at the symptoms while not addressing the underlying causes

So there is still racism today. Yeah - in the hearts and minds of individuals. There is no government sanctioned racism, unless one considers Affirmative Action racism. Perhaps this author should have all those black preachers out there start hyping the importance of the father in a family. I really don't care about the prob less of the balks community when I see the likes of Kentanji, Oprah, etc still whining about how unfair the world is to them.

The destruction of the family was a feature not a bug of the Progressive Great Society. While welfare removed husbands and fathers from the home; feminism removed wives and mothers by promising fulfillment through a "career", or out of necessity due to the absent man. The family is the bedrock of any civilization. Over the last century, our granite bedrock has been covered by a thick bog of debris layers from discarded Judaeo-Christian values. The granite is still there, we only have to excavate the muck. It took us one hundred years to get to this place, but clean-ups go faster than build-ups...with the right equipment. Our excavators are a return to God and a willingness to do His Will as revealed in Holy Scriptures. Live your best life, be an example to others and help them along the way.

And to add to #5's excellent comments, if you watch a few episodes of Maury Povich, you will see girls in their teens who have given birth because their boyfriend wanted to have a baby, without commitment or support, and the girlfriend went along with the idea. to make her man happy. And then her man goes on to the next girl, to repeat the same. On occasion, young men appear on Maury who have fathered 20 or more babies.. with 20 or more girls. And those men are proud of that fact.

I have lived with blacks in my neighborhood, worked with and for blacks and managed them for 45 years. They have always been regular people with all the good bad and ugly as any other people I have known. Yeah, they can exhibit some bizarre behavior when they congregate but rarely cause any trouble - no more than the White rednecks, Hispanics or Asians. The problems seem to be confined to the dim inner cities and I have noticed that those who escape do not go back to help their bros and sistas

Socialism's Top Targets for Death are Faith, Family, Freedom, and Private Property. The left's War On Males began many decades ago. Black culture tolerates infidelity, promiscuity and abandonment, so socialist welfare programs just made it that much easier to shirk responsibility.

Democrats' Kamala Harris problem 6 replies
Posted by Garnet 3/23/2022 4:51:10 PM Post Reply
The Democratic Party has a unique problem when it considers the 2024 presidential election. Joe Biden, the oldest president in U.S. history, will be 82 at the end of his first term. There is widespread speculation he will not run for reelection, although he insists he will. The suspicion among many in the political world that Biden will not run again threatens to turn him into a first-term lame duck. Or perhaps it already has. The situation has naturally resulted in attention being paid to Vice President Kamala Harris, who would be Biden's obvious successor should he not run. To say Harris has not shone in the job

Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats incessantly remind us that the historic milestone marked by Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination is that she would become the Supreme Court’s first Black woman. Yet, how historically significant can it be if she can’t say what a woman is? For all her appeal – and in 12 grueling hours of testimony on Tuesday, Judge Jackson’s intellect and charm were on full display – the nominee is dodgy. Though a highly accomplished – indeed, a historic – woman, she testified that she can’t "provide a definition" of what a woman is.
