Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, said Tuesday in a CNN interview that if former President Donald Trump won the 2024 election, the NATO alliance would be significantly damaged. Romney, the 2012 GOP presidential nominee, said NATO members would wonder whether they could continue to count on the United States.
“If he were to come back as the U.S. president, I think it would represent a pretty dramatic departure for the world, and they would rethink whether they can count on the United States to lead NATO to lead other nations as they push back against China and against Russia,” Romney said

A Disney executive in charge of content vowed to up the ante on gender politics during an all-hands meeting, promising that at least half of the characters in its productions will be LGBTIA or minority by the end of the year. General entertainment president Karey Burke choked up during the company-wide Zoom call Monday, saying the issue hit close to home because of her children. 'I'm here as the mother of two queer children, actually, one transgender child and one pansexual child, and also as a leader,' she said. During the same all-hands meeting, television animation executive producer Latoya Raveneau gushed about Disney's inclusivity.

People are still processing Will Smith’s assault of Chris Rock during Sunday night’s basement-rated Oscar telecast. The shock of the ugliness froze everything. Never before has something like this happened, certainly not at the Academy Awards, which used to be seen as the classiest awards show of them all.(Snip) The very thing that (I believe) triggered Smith’s meltdown — his wife publicly humiliating him as a cuckold, is about to be talked about and examined more than ever. It’s one thing for Jada to have affairs. This is Hollywood, after all. But for her to openly discuss those affairs on a podcast is beyond the beyond.

Sen. Susan Collins said Tuesday she would vote to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, the only Republican senator to do so so far.
Collins, in an interview with The New York Times Tuesday, said that after a second, 90-minute interview with Jackson, she was assured that Jackson met her standards for serving on the nation’s highest court. If all Democrats also vote yes, Jackson would become the first Black woman on the court, fulfilling a promise made by Pres. Biden to nominate a Black woman to the court.

A school district in Washington state has passed a new policy encouraging administrators to factor in race when disciplining students. The Clover Park School District board approved the new policy on a 3-2 vote on March 14, over the objections of board members who expressed concerns that it was ill-conceived. The district in the suburbs of Tacoma will now use 'culturally responsive discipline' that encourages school staff to impose punishments that 'may be adapted to individual student needs in a culturally responsive manner.' Critics say the new approach is in effect a race-based disciplinary policy that will encourage harsher or lighter punishments based on a student's race,

One of the former CIA officers who signed a letter claiming stories about a laptop allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden were disinformation says he helped swing the 2020 election from former President Donald Trump.
“I take special pride in personally swinging the election away from Trump,” John Sipher, who served for decades as a senior operations officer at the CIA, wrote in a recent post on Twitter.
“I lost the election for Trump? Well then I fell [sic] pretty good about my influence,” he also wrote.
Sipher and 50 other former U.S. intelligence officials signed the letter on Oct. 19, 2020, alleging that the effort to distribute its contents “has all the classic

A Russian state TV host called on the U.S. to remove President Joe Biden and reinstate former President Donald Trump days after Biden made his own call for a regime change aimed at Vladimir Putin in an off-scripted remark. On Tuesday, The TV host of Russia's 60 Minutes show, Evgeny Popov, urged America to quickly replace Biden with Trump, whom he called a 'partner' to the Russian state. 'It's time for us, our people, to call on the people of the United States to change the regime in the U.S. early, and to again help our partner, Trump, to become president,' Popov said.

Joe Biden was never smart.
When I interned in Congress for two summers many years ago, other congressional members openly referred to him as one of the dumbest men on Capitol Hill. Staffers and interns, including ones who worked for Democrats, made fun of him.
Old age and dementia have done this dull man no favors. That was apparent over the weekend when Biden, stupidly even for him, went off script and called for regime change in Russia. It also was apparent a few months ago, when Biden may have precipitated the war by, according to President Zelensky's account of their phone call, encouraging Ukraine to apply

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) got into a heated spat over the whereabouts of Hunter Biden's laptop during a House Judiciary hearing on oversight of the FBI's Cyber Division on Tuesday. The Republican firebrand used his allotted time to grill the division's assistant director Bryan Vorndran, who repeatedly told Gaetz he didn't have any information on where the hard drive belonging to President Joe Biden's son is currently located.(Snip)'You are the assistant director of FBI cyber. I want to know where Hunter Biden's laptop is. Where is it?' he pressed. The FBI official replied, 'Sir, I don't know that answer.' Gaetz called Vorndran's claim 'astonishing.'

The Food and Drug Administration has authorized fourth Pfizer and Moderna Covid vaccine doses for everyone age 50 and older, amid uncertainty over whether an even more contagious version of omicron will cause another wave of infection in the U.S. as it has in Europe and China.
The FDA also said it authorized a second Pfizer booster shot for people age 12 and older who have compromised immune systems, and a second Moderna booster for adults ages 18 and older with compromised immune systems. All of the new boosters are to be administered at least fourth months after the last shot.
The FDA made the decision without a meeting

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Tuesday that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas should resign in the wake of revelations that his wife sent texts that pushed for the overturn of the 2020 presidential election results. (Snip) “If not, his failure to disclose income from right-wing organizations, recuse himself from matters involving his wife, and his vote to block the Jan 6th commission from key information must be investigated and could serve as grounds for impeachment,” (Snip) Despite the growing criticism of Thomas by Democrats, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) defended the justice,

Some things don't make sense.
That brings us to some testimony from the FBI's assistant director for cybersecurity who told Congress's Rep. Matt Gaetz that he had no idea where Hunter Biden's laptop, entrusted to FBI custody, actually is:
According to the Post Millennial:
"Who has it?" Gaetz asked.
"I don’t know who has it," said [FBI Assistant Director for the Cyber Division Bryan] Vorndran.
"What now you're telling me right here is that as the Assistant Director of FBI Cyber, you don't know where this is, after it was turned over to you three years ago?" Gaetz said.
"Yes, sir. That's an accurate statement," Vorndran responded.
