Washington Post fired national political reporter Felicia Sonmez after her continuous criticism of the newspaper, according to multiple sources.
The Post terminated her Thursday afternoon, though the Post declined to comment due to privacy concerns, the Daily Beast first reported. (snip) Sonmez continuously targeted her colleagues in the newsroom and criticized the higher ups at her own newspaper beginning June 3 when political reporter Dave Weigel retweeted a joke by YouTuber Cam Harless that said, ““Every girl is bi. You just have to figure out if its polar or sexual.” The Post later suspended Weigel for a month without pay.

A suspected California gang member charged with murder is desperately trying to reach a plea deal before the possible recall of notoriously soft-on-crime District Attorney George Gascon, according to a report.
Willie Wilkerson — a suspect in a triple shooting — was recorded telling his mom that his attorney had better “hurry up” and settle before a stricter DA takes over in Los Angeles County, according to Fox News. The murder suspect said he wants a deal “before they re-elect somebody else besides Gascon and bring back that bulls–t life without parole and death penalty,” according to the report.

Duke Energy continued the trend of corporate wokeism this week by sponsoring a “Youth Pride Carnival” for children in honor of Pride Month.
Even though Duke Energy is an electric power and natural gas holding company, for some inexplicable reason the Fortune 150 company teamed with Indy Pride Inc. of Indiana for the carnival. (snip) According to the event page, the carnival will “create a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth ages 12-20″ and will include a “King and Queen drag show”:

The FBI deceived the House, Senate and the Justice Department about the substance and strength of evidence undergirding its counterintelligence investigation of President Trump, according to a recently declassified document and other material.
A seven-page internal FBI memo dated March 8, 2017, shows that "talking points" prepared for then-FBI Director James Comey for his meeting the next day with the congressional leadership were riddled with half-truths, outright falsehoods, and critical omissions. Both the Senate and the House opened investigations and held hearings based in part on the misrepresentations made in those FBI briefings,

As the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack prepares to stage a show trial of Donald Trump on Capitol Hill this week, I have filed a lawsuit challenging the Select Committee’s gross violations of the Constitution’s separation of powers.
Yes, congressional committees do have the power to investigate. Yet, they can only do so in pursuit of a “legislative function,” e.g., to enact new rules, regulations, or policies.
What settled law explicitly rules out is the pursuit of a “judicial function” in which a congressional committee seeks to act as judge, jury, and executioner. That clearly violates the separation of powers – punishment is reserved exclusively for the judicial branch.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has appeared to score a victory in his impasse with Twitter over repeated requests for its internal data on spam and fake accounts.
The social media giant has agreed to hand over a "firehose" of data comprising more than 500 million tweets posted each day, according to The Washington Post, citing an anonymous source familiar with the company's thinking. The outlet notes that the data, which reportedly includes account information, a real-time record of tweets and the devices users tweet from, could be given to Musk as soon as this week. Currently, about two dozen companies pay to access the data, according to the Post.

I have been dedicated to the left since I was a teenager. (snip) Despite my dedication to the radical left, I became a pariah among progressives relatively quickly because of my opposition to the sex trade. (snip) The most decisive thing for me has been the left’s erasure of women, which is now undeniable. (snip) The left, seemingly along with most feminists, has now decided it no longer knows what a woman is, and that anyone who claims to know must be silenced.
At a certain point, we have to stop pretending this is just about a few bad apples.

(snip) Masters posted screenshots of the tweets earlier Tuesday of Rosenblatt allegedly making offensive and derogatory statements about women, Asians and a wide variety of other things.

Disney is going all-out in joining leftists’ June celebration of Pride Month, making same-sex themes central to a new “Toy Story” feature film spin-off and adding more than 100 hours of LGBTQ titles to family-targeted streamer Disney Plus.
After advance screenings, critics say animated space adventure “Lightyear” — opening in theaters on June 17 — “takes queer representation to infinity and beyond,” to quote USA Today, highlighting that a lesbian couple “at one point [greets] each other with a kiss on the lips.” Following backlash over Disney creative executives discussing their ongoing efforts at “queering” children’s entertainment, it seems Disney has decided to dismiss the concerns of many conservative parents.
