Canada is leaving the Western world. In terms of all-encompassing government, suppression of dissent and the denial of fundamental human rights to many of its citizens, Canada is now more similar to Cuba than to any free country. Canada may eventually return to Western civilization, but as of this writing, the majority of Canadians appear to have no interest in it doing so. According to Maru Public Opinion, "two-thirds (66%) of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in the Emergencies Act ... A majority (56%) of Canadians do not support the truckers who are protesting in any way, shape, or form.

It's like all the people that voted for Chavez again and again. How'd that work out?

What choice do the Canadians have? Secede and become free. Most of the provinces and territories west of Ontario and Quebec would be welcome as the newest states in the US. What you say Canucks?

What in the world is wrong with Canadians? After seeing the results of Trudeau’s aggressive policing toward the truckers and their supporters, you’d think any reasonable person would want to stop that unnecessary violence and reign Trudeau in.
One thing that has come out of this situation is that my opinion is changing a bit regarding law enforcement. I no longer trust them completely. I just do not understand what gets in the hearts of these guys that allow them to be so physically violent with peaceful protesters. What they have done will have a chilling effect on anyone who even thinks about going to a protest. The difference in the actions of law enforcement when it comes to BLM and Antifa and anyone who dares oppose these radical government leftists is astounding. I can only imagine what the thugs in our government have in store for our truckers. I don’t believe it will end well. Democrats are counting on that even if they have to make it happen.

They'll be whining and crying when shelves are empty and no food, gas, clothing, toiletries, diapers, baby formula or essentials can be found anywhere. Those truckers who were essential during the worst of the pandemic, who became inconvenient when they disrupted traffic and honked for the freedom to choose for everyone will stay home and commerce will grind to a halt. There will be inconvenience for the entire country and the screaming will start. Trudeau and his cronies of course are the elites and won't understand any of it because they won't be affected personally.

Trudeau spoke at Castro's funeral and mentioned that Castro was admired by all Cubans. He's out in Lala land on that one. You know where Trudeau is coming from. Ontario and Quebec think very differently about Trudeau and his father than the rest of Canada. Many in the west think the father destroyed Canada and it looks like his son is finishing it off. You never want to get rid of the Electoral College here. If Ontario and Quebec vote for the same party, it's game over for the rest of Canada. That's why Hillary want to get rid of the Electoral College here - CA and NY would be running the States. Also remember in the last election they had the same voting machines that we had here. Just saying.

"O, Canada, Our home and native land,
True patriot love in all your sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise, the true North strong and free.
From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free.
O, Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O, Canada, we stand on guard for thee."
They might have to think about a new national anthem.
Then again the poll numbers may be as manipulated up north as they are down here. I'd like to think that is the case and outside the Leftist enclaves most Canadians still love and want their "true North, strong and free".

Truckers should quit and go do something else.
They should refuse loads going to city's.
Are they going to seize farmers farms who were involved?
No one should have bank account s up there, stop any direct deposits and chase checks at non bank places.
The bank's don't have enough cash on hand if everyone closed their accounts.

Maybe we could do a land swap. The west coast can vote to go with Canada, and we can take in their conservative regions that want to opt out of the mess up there.

FTA: "Former...senior strategic analyst Jessica Davis (said) 'There may also be some 'unintended consequences' from frozen accounts, such as suspended alimony and child support payments, Davis said. 'It's going to be very difficult for them.'" As if having funds to purchase fuel and food weren't enough punitive punishment.
And when these people are pushed to the brink along with family and friends, what do the elite in Ottawa think will be the outcome? We're already seeing the same sort of thinking here in the USA with the treatment of the J6 defendants. How long before we all face de-banking or inability to travel or even incarceration due to "wrong think"?
We live in some very dark times indeed...

This is what happens when government funds, and by those funds controls the media. For all practical purposes, Trudeau is the media.

I believe this statistic to be true. There’s a Canadian couple that I’m friendly with that snowbird where I live. When I asked one of them, the husband, what was going on with the truckers up there and his response was…oh I dunno anger, fury at the truckers for disrupting peoples lives. I can’t remember my exact response. But it was along the lines of, "I can imagine" and then we changed the topic of conversation. It was mildly surprising to hear this because he also was in favor of the verdict against Minneapolis LEO Chauvin last year (spelling?). So yeah, it’s a growing concern what’s going on up there.
