What in God's name is Mike Pence doing? And for Pence, I do mean in God's name.
Is Mike Pence a traitor to conservatives? Is Pence trying to become the next John Dean, the Watergate traitor? Is Pence trying to be just like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger? Is Pence really a part of the Deep State? Has Pence sold out President Trump for 30 pieces of silver? Unfortunately, it appears that some of the answers to these questions could be "yes."
Unbelievable. Mike Pence has apparently sold out President Trump, MAGA Nation, and the America First agenda. Why is it that Democrats never turn on Democrats,

As a political candidate, Mike Pence has no home at this point. He betrayed Trump, so a majority of republicans dislike him, and the democrats only want him for any negative remarks that make them feel good. Politically, Mike has placed himself on a small island far, far away.

I am no fan of pence. He has no home. In fact, he is a nonentity but i did think he was somebody that could be counted on should president Trump have become unable to serve.
I do not have a clear understanding of precisely what he could have done regarding the electoral college however. The two reasons given in the article for his “authority” do not pass logical muster. Or legal muster.
I wish the writer would have explained this central point. That would have addressed the question as to whether pence is merely a nonentity or did he fail the nation?
It would have been a catastrophe had pence acted and had “something” happened to certify Trump, since the dims are excellent at using sharp events like that to undermine civilization.
They are not good at governing or leading, and so the current catastrophe is of their making and is of their empty grasping racist hatefilled essence. We have seen The Catastrophe and it is The Dims.

Unfortunately, you could probably count on one hand the non-deep state picks made by President Trump for key spots in his administration. I seriously doubt that Pence changed his stripes after swearing in as VP, although I hadn't heard much of him before he became Trump's VP.

The Deep State works like the Hell Crew. They tempt. They lie. They look for weaknesses. They blackmail. Even if Pence is clean, is his family clean? Even if his family is clean, are his friends and associates clean? With modern technology, you can fake a very convincing illegsl/immoral act that could destroy a reputation.
Leverage, has NEVER been more obtainable by those unconcerned about anything but power.
Everyone in politics is extensively investigated by the FBI. You might recall Hillary got caught with a box of Raw Files of her political opponents, back when she and Bill were occupyong the White House?
We know at least some of the FBI have no interest in Law, Justice, or America. Things have only gotten worse since Bill and Hill...

Washington DC is not a swamp -- it is a sewer. No matter how idealistic a person is when they go there, the stench of the DC sewer will wear them down quickly, and they will become a DC sewer creature very quickly.
Mike Pence was a great Christian, and a very good VP -- as long as he didn't actually have to do anything. When he was called on to delay the validation of the stolen election of 2020 to give time for proper investigation in the face of overwhelming evidence of election fraud, the sewer slime overtook him, and he cratered. Now he is whining and crying that he didn't do anything wrong -- while stabbing President Trump and about 70,000,000 solidly conservative Republicans in the back.
Sorry, Mikey, but your reputation is as nasty as the sewer of DC that infected you. Just go home, shut your pie hole, and spend a lot of time praying in hopes that God will save what is left of your eternal soul!!!!

This is all about language. Notice Pence keeps saying “overturn the election”. That is a false and misleading statement. He certainly did not have the right to overturn anything. We all know that. His job was to make sure that the electors were correct and that there were no shenanigans going on. He also had all the information that had been revealed so far regarding all the anomalies. He was not flying blind. He knew. He knew and disregarded it.
No one but Pence knows what caused him to ignore what was right in front of his face. Was he afraid of the media, probably. Was he being pressured, most likely. Was he being tempted by the offer of money, could be. Did he show courage when it was needed, absolutely not. We will never know the truth unless he decides to come clean and that is not going to happen. However, it is offensive to my core to watch him lie, obfuscate, and omit pertinent facts and expect to be believed. Many leaks during the Trump presidency we are now finding out came from his office or people close to him. He and his people were also key in many personnel decisions. Let that sink in when you consider his loyalty. I was never a fan of Pence’s but I thought he was loyal to the President and his supporters. Boy, was I wrong! He betrayed us all and he is never going to be able to run away from that fact. I have nothing but contempt for him because he knew exactly what a Biden administration would do to this country and yet, he chose to ignore the anomalies from those states that clearly indicated voter fraud was indicated. He could have acted on behalf of the American people, yet he chose not to. Many men find themselves at a crossroad that defines their entire life. They either choose the road that is hard but is traveled with their integrity in tact or they choose the road that is easy and requires nothing from them. Clearly, Mike Pence chose the easy over the hard and has sentenced this country to this nightmare of democrat lawlessness and oppression. There is no guarantee that the election results would have been reversed, but the democrats would have been exposed as the cheats and liars they are, and I do believe that knowing about the fraud would have made a difference in the outcome. President Trump was never afforded that option. Many cowardly Republicans abandoned him and I believe Pence betrayed us all. Doing nothing in the face of known evil is why we are in the shape we are in today.
I must defend President Trump’s personnel choices. Do you believe you could have done better in that cesspool of deceit and spies? PDT had no real experience in that political machine other than knowing some politicians who were always begging for money from him. He had no clue the depth of corruption in that wretched bureaucratic machine. It’s easy to sit in front of a computer and disparage his choice when he was doing the best with the advice he was given. Remember everyone was out to get him, disrupt his agenda, and make sure he failed. By sheer will, cunning and intelligence, he managed to get good things done for the American people despite the long knives that were out to get him every single day of his Presidency. He is not perfect by a long shot but by today standards, he is a giant among the corrupt minions that are destroying this nation.

Mike Pence lied last week. His political "American people" b.s. just hid the FACT that he had a LEGAL role to play by returning disputed vote counts to the STATES. Fact. He stood down. Fact. To try to paint himself as a savior of Democracy, imputing that Trump was engaged in a dictatorial power grab, just reflects Pence's tightness with the cabal in D.C. Well, he had me fooled. I don’t care about Pence so, if someone wants to attack him, whatever. But this notion that he could have done other than he did is so much nonsense. The place it had to happen, by law, were in those states’ delegations. If you want to argue that the certifying of the EC voters should have been delayed, that’s where it had to happen, by law - by the constitution.

#11 Quigley is right. At the point the democrats stole the election the event of a challenge would embolden the left if it was given back to Trump. A rock and a hard spot for Pence but making noise at the time could have kept alarm bells ringing until now. The reason some RINOs and democrats want a law passed to neuter the VP for future election squabbles because they know they stole the election. Whomever is advising Pence is giving him bad advice Pence's political future is bleak to say the least.

Andrew W. Coy you have got it backwards. For better or worse, each state certified their list of Electors. All legal challenges had been dismissed. In the face of the state certifications and court rulings, Mike Pence only had suspicion, but no proof, at the time, to support challenging the results. The Democrats and MSM had been claiming President Trump would overthrow the result and rule as a dictator. If Pence had tried to change the outcome of the election, it would have been seen as confirmation of the worst accusations of the Democrats and MSM. The attempt would have failed and the backlash against the Republican party would have lasted for decades.
President Trump may have been right, but he and the Republicans would have been politically dead right as a result.. Mike Pence made the best choice he could in this situation. I sincerely wish President Trump would realize this fact.

The Governor of Indiana is the lowest paid of all the governors. When he became VP, his salary quadrupled and he made it to the big time - so to speak. Mrs. Pence, now had the money to buy expensive slinky gowns to wear at White House events - unfortunately she didn't have the body or the youth for them - unlike Melania who never wore slinky gowns at WH events. They've been bought - nice million dollar home in Indiana, etc ad nauseum.

What's the deal with Pence? That's like asking why did Cain kill Abel.
Here's several possibilities:
a) The check didn't clear
b) His guilty conscience is making him try to clear his name
c) They have pictures .... and they're not pretty
d) He's jealous that he only got to hold Trump's coat
e) Power is the most addictive of all drugs ... and he needs a fix
f) He's an idiot
g) All of the above
He had one real job ... and blew it! Since 1877 the Veep has had the power to send back the electors to the states and demand they re-certify legitimacy. A delay of only two weeks. The count goes on without that state.

No comment regarding his Christianity: that is the LORD's business. However, as posted back in 2016: Pence's "betrayal" of Ted Cruz in the primaries exposed his character - or lack thereof.
His actions on January 6, 2021 only confirmed it.
Go away, Mike .. and let the LORD deal with you.

Do you want to know why Pence is getting so much narrative time? The book, The Plague Upon Our House, exposed Pence before he exposed himself on January 6th. Hard to get the Republican presidential nomination when he has a record for deceit.
"Former Vice President Mike Pence should never, ever, never, ever, never hold public office anywhere free again. A do-gooder spewer of Bible verses as clichés, but with no discernment and even less courage. He hung the country/truth out to dry so he could play Grover Dill to Birx's Scott Farkus." Dr. Scott Atlas.
