Rep. Lauren Boebert continues to be a force in political fundraising. She once again raised more than not only her opponents for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District seat but also every other candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the state. The Republican incumbent reported a haul of nearly $808,000 in the final quarter of 2021, according to Federal Election Commission filings. That includes over $762,000 in donations from individuals, with the rest from political action committees or other campaign committees.

Comments:

As the first sentence says, she is a force.

More power to her. I hope she wins again. We walked by her cafe in Rifle a few years back, but it wasn't meal time and we had stopped to pick up a set of allen wrenches to adjust the lights on the Porsche while driving to California, and while we would have had a meal if it was meal time, we had to go. This was before she ran for office, was just known for the armed waitresses.

A picture of Lauren holding her rifle alone justifies a $500 donation.

Colorado is a red state. It goes blue because of leftists from California. CA lost a congressional seat and CO picked it up. It seems weird but a state that has both Boulder and Colorado Springs and not implode gives me hope. Also, Hispanics here are conservative.

Yes #6. I see your state’s conservatives fighting with a determination that will get the job done. Michelle Malkin lives there and she is as much a freedom fighter as Congresswoman Boebert. I know GOP establishment types will try to hurt Borbert but it won’t work.

Rasmussen Reports recently conducted a nationwide survey with questions on vaccinated immunity and natural immunity after a recommendation by Becker News. “I wonder if you polled Democratic (and R, I) voters, how many would call Natural Immunity a myth?” I asked. “How many would say it is false you can get Natural Immunity from a Prior Infection?” Rasmussen Reports was benevolent enough to ask these timely questions in a survey and release the crosstabs to Becker News before official publication. The results? Fascinating.

On a regular day at work, Matt Teague and Forrest Kinney hop into a Durango Police Department patrol vehicle. The car is outfitted with the typical police gear – a dispatch radio, weapons, safety equipment – but also a teddy bear, bottled water and blankets. Teague, a social worker, and Kinney, a police officer, focus on a unique approach to emergency response that combines mental health care with policing. “The goal is treatment, mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment,” Teague said. “Sometimes, it’s as simple as getting assistance through Manna (soup kitchen) or housing assistance.”

Biden, who was nominated by the Democratic Party to challenge President Donald Trump in November’s election, previously announced that if elected President he would work to gradually phase out the leasing of federal public land to the oil and gas industry.

A new super-mutant HIV strain that makes infected individuals ill twice as fast as current versions of the virus has been detected in the Netherlands. The new mutant—called the VB variant—has infected at least 109 people, according to a study by Oxford University. The strain damages the immune system and weakens a person's ability to fight everyday infections and disease faster than previous versions of the virus. It means those who catch this strain could develop AIDS more quickly. The VB variant also has a viral load between 3.5 and 5.5 times higher than the current strain, meaning infected people are more likely to transmit the virus
