Whatever. We just need to realize that Biden will go to the ends of the earth to cover up his illegal business dealings in Ukraine. US military is collateral.

Russia has a lot of troops. They like to move about. So Putin moves them a little bit west, and leaks into the intelligence community that he intends to invade Ukraine. This costs him absolutely nothing, but it elicits an amazingly confused response from NATO and the US, including some written responses to his demands that will shape NATO for the next 15 years. A huge strategic gain for Putin! Much better would be to ask Russia to join NATO, and perhaps even the EU. Having all a-little-bit-Christian and a-little-bit-democratic nations combine against the heft of China is pretty sensible.

The writer sounds like a 1950s cold warrior. Start with the idea that the principles behind the Monroe Doctrine apply to Russia as much as to us. Which country seems those the expansionist hegemon, the one with 750 bases in more than 70 countries or the one with 5 overseas bases? This is not your father’s Russia despite the interest of the intelligence community in viewing it as such.

A threat to invade the Ukraine is like trump card (no pun). He has already used it. What will he use the next time? So there is a price. Putin may be serious. All we can do is wait for the other shoe to drop.

NATO is in the crosshairs no matter how this turns out. Putin won't back down until he gets written assurances that NATO will not expand into Ukraine. NATO is setting a bad precedent by getting itself involved to begin with. The US is fumbling around knowing its NATO "allies" have no abiding interest in Russian "expansion", let alone Ukrainian NATO membership. (Most of them are third-tier "powers" using NATO to get under the US nuclear umbrella, and maybe score some American presence for an economic shot. Croatia has already said they're all happy to posture, but if the balloon goes up...they're going home.) NATO can either back down and show its back...or, it can spend a lot of money to post troops, ships, and planes to menace Russia and be stuck with having to respond IF Russia crosses the border. Pick your poison. It's time to disband NATO. It was an anti-Moscow, anti-Warsaw pact alliance that has outlived its mission, and is now searching for one. It is protecting effete Europe at American expense and is one of those entanglements that George Washington warned about centuries ago. However this goes, it's a mess that the US maintained for itself. The Euros can take care of themselves.

I hope there is no war. Do I trust the Russian government? No. But I don't trust the American or Illinois government either. In some sense, I have more respect for Putin than I do for Biden. Both are corrupt. But Putin is at least strong. I am not fond of either leader. But I will respect strength. Weakness when strength is needed to defend America is deplorable.

The problem with the article is its logic. We are now living in a world where logic and reason are ignored. And that means anything can happen.

I have very little idea of what is really going on. But.... I doubt that anyone else- particularly The HairSniffer- does either. Either one day soon we will wake up to Russia in possession of eastern Ukraine, or we will wake up and they are not. The one thing I am really concerned about is Sleepy Joe and his puppet-masters managing to blunder us into a serious war.

Elizabeth Warren may face consequences

Elizabeth Warren, a mediocre law professor who parlayed a fake Native American identity into a gig at Harvard and a seat in the United States Senate, thought that, once in government, she’d try her hand at censorship. When Joseph Mercola and Ronnie Cummins wrote a book about COVID with which Warren disagreed, she used her position as a Senator to try to get Amazon to censor the book. Although Chelsea Green Publishing filed suit in November, people are finally becoming aware of the suit. I’m always amazed when someone who ought to know the law doesn’t—or feels entitled to ignore it.

The truth is that the Second American Civil War is...almost over. Unlike the first one, the Democrats appear to be a near lock to win. Leftists, through a combination of brilliant projectionist strategy and callously evil use of their political opponents' naïveté, decency, and tolerance, have transformed America's institutions. They have weaponized them and used them against their less aggressive fellow citizens. In the process, they have transformed Americans, their beliefs and expectations, too. Much like the Chinese Communist Party, they own nearly all the levers of influence and power

The big news on Monday night was that Joe Biden, in response to a perfectly appropriate question from Fox News White House correspondent Steve Doocy, not only refused to answer, but openly and into the mic called Doocy a "stupid son of a b‑‑‑‑." Biden then called Doocy, ostensibly to apologize. In fact, he didn't apologize at all, but Doocy seemed happy to be the nice guy who accepted a private non-apology in exchange for a public insult. (snip) What he should have said was, "Mr. Biden, you very publicly and crudely insulted me. I expect an equally public, explicit apology."

One of the points I’ve been making over the years of political writing is that leftism has driven young white women crazy. (snip) A recent video, however, indicates that it’s not just young women whom leftism has driven insane. The video seems to show two older women, upon finding an unmasked young Black man on an elevator, wildly attacking him as they try desperately to get him and his unmasked self off the elevator. (snip) One of the women then hit him and, when he called her on it, she began chanting “Black lives matter,” while her companion continued to insist that he leave the elevator.

After nearly two years of America pursuing politically motivated policies to “eradicate” an unstoppable respiratory virus, an increasing number of liberal politicians, commentors and publications have begun to speak out about the failures and human cost of lockdowns and the vaccine/mask mandates. They, along with many on the right, are applauding those who now claim that government Covid policy was a “catastrophic moral crime.” Who are these charlatans that are embarking on a campaign to exonerate themselves from their complicity in a “catastrophic moral crime”? Many of them were at the forefront of spreading ideologically motivated lies

It’s becoming ever more apparent that the government health intelligentsia’s efforts to protect Americans from COVID have been a complete failure. That’s why you’ve heard nothing about its success. (snip) There are two ways to look at this argument to end masking, lockdowns, and vaccine requirements. The first is that because all of these infringements upon our liberty failed miserably and are not only entirely ineffective but harmful, we can and should go back to something close to what life looked like before.

The vaccines are proving to be a constantly moving target. (snip) What if it turns out that they’re not even a therapeutic? What if you get more sick, not less sick, from the vaccination? Data out of Scotland suggests that this is a real possibility: Scottish data shows that the COVID-19 age-standardized case rate is highest among the two-dose vaccinated and lowest among unvaccinated! It further shows this trend of negative efficacy for the double-vaccinated persisting for hospitalizations and deaths. Something is very wrong here, and together with other data points, it raises concerning questions about the negative effect of waning antibodies, constant boosting, and the consequences of a leaky vaccine

If you’ve been wondering about the extent of voter fraud in America, we may be seeing a staggering amount of either fraud or grotesque negligence in Wisconsin voter rolls. A review of the state’s voter roles showed that 569,277 voters registered on January 1, 1918. Of that number, 20% of these people, all of whom must be at least 124 years old, voted last November. Biden “won” in Wisconsin by 20,682 votes.... For regular American Thinker readers, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Hearing the Department of Justice describe them, one would think that the Oath Keepers are the scariest bunch of anti-American knuckleheads to come down the pike since the Ku Klux Klan. With Justice Stephen Breyer officially announcing his retirement on Thursday (a full 24 hours after the White House announced it for him), Senate Democrats will have a chance to fill a Supreme Court seat, likely before the 2022 midterm elections in November. But ever since 2017, when Senate Republicans invoked the nuclear option to confirm Supreme Court justices at a simple majority, instead of at the usual 60 votes necessary to break a filibuster, there has been procedurally little minorities can do to prevent a nomination from moving forward (the outright lies, smears, and chaos tactics Senate Democrats employed against Justice Brett Kavanaugh notwithstanding).

One of the main tenants for a stable and law-abiding society is a judicial system that enforces laws and ensures equal justice for all.The reverse is true in progressive cities, resulting in an increase in crime. Various government organizations, even all the way up to the Department of Justice, have gone astray. Social justice warriors are now in positions in the DOJ to implement “racial justice”, which determines how to prosecute cases based on the race and/or social justice cause, not commensurate with the crimes committed.A perfect example can be seen in a murder committed by a BLM arsonist.
