LOS ANGELES, California—Governor Gavin Newsom professed shock and outrage as he visited the site of mass looting of cargo trains in L.A. on Thursday, helping clean up debris and touting his recent plan to help law enforcement fight theft. (Photo) “I’m asking myself, what the hell is going on? We look like a third-world country,” Newsom said, before apologizing for using the word “gangs” to describe the attacks on the trains, stressing that he did not mean the word in a “pejorative” way.

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Assembly held another election integrity hearing to present evidence of voter fraud and irregularities that have been found in their investigation of the rigged 2020 election. And just like last month’s election hearing, they dropped some serious bombshells. Yesterday’s hearing built on those findings and presented more questions for the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC), which has failed to answer previous questions on the 2020 election. They did however respond to the reported 119,283 active voters who have been registered for over 100 years, but their weak response just didn’t cut it.

President Joe Biden’s inauguration last year was a star-studded event hosted by Tom Hanks, who had endorsed the Democrat and raised funds for his campaign. Now, Biden has enlisted Hanks’ help once again, this time to narrate and appear in a video that puts the president’s stormy first year in office in the best possible light.

Lincoln Project founder Rick Wilson said Friday on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that the Republican Party wanted the 2024 presidential election to be the last election in America.Wilson said, “They’re trying to throw so much friction into voting and all the sand into the machine, especially in communities they don’t feel will be reliable voters for them. So they are not going to b**** and moan about early voting in a red county. ”He continued, “This is exactly the kind of mechanism that proto authoritarian states and authoritarian states set up. They want to say who can vote, when they can vote, how they can vote, when the votes are counted.

As the Biden presidency enters its second year, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen called the Commander-in-Chief’s economic policy a “remarkable success.”During an interview with CNBC, Yellen lauded decreases in the unemployment rate while expressing hope for lower inflation. “A year ago, if you go back to the challenges that we were facing, and the Federal Reserve was facing, unemployment was extremely high. We were all worried that we would be facing a situation like we had after 2008, when it took almost a decade to get back to full employment,” Yellen said. “

Democrats accused Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of racism for remarks he made about black Americans voting at just as high a percentage as 'Americans' after their voting rights package failed to make it through the Senate. The Kentucky Republican was asked by a reporter what his message is to voters of color who are 'concerned' that they won't be able to vote in the midterm election. 'Well, the concern is misplaced because you if you look at the statistics, African-American voters are voting in just as high a percentage as Americans,' McConnell said in response.

Comedian and actress Kathy Griffin claimed CNN president Jeff Zucker slashed her pay after she had asked for a raise as co-host of the network's New Year's Eve special.
In a profile published Wednesday in The New York Times, Griffin recalled reaching out to Zucker 10 days before the broadcast in 2016 and told him she felt she deserved more than her $80,000 contract since "she was carrying more of the prep work" than her co-host, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.
According to Griffin, Zucker "got very offended." "He started yelling at me and he literally said something like, ‘Who do you think you are calling here demanding a raise?’

The National Public Radio reporter behind a story about face masks and the Supreme Court that the justices themselves have denied remained defiant on Thursday after one of NPR’s own editors criticized her story.Nina Totenberg, NPR’s veteran legal affairs correspondent, had an intense reaction to NPR’s public editor Kelly McBride saying the story “merits a clarification, but not a correction,” without which NPR risks losing credibility with readers.“She can write any goddamn thing she wants, whether or not I think it’s true,” Totenberg told The Daily Beast. “She’s not clarifying anything!”She laughed and then added, “I haven’t even looked at it, and I don’t care to look at it

The CDC has officially moved the goalposts on what it means to be vaccinated from COVID-19. We all knew this day was coming, even as an onslaught of “fact-checkers” assured us it was “misinformation” to assert such a change was coming publicly. But first, let’s talk about the details.
CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.
