Kamala Harris is now officially a joke

There is no way to recover national political standing once a politician becomes a popular butt of humor, a punchline in a degrading joke. Ask Dan Quayle, who has disappeared from the scene so completely that nobody has even gotten him on the record about the vice presidency of Kamala Harris. My guess is that he is enjoying bitter laughter. Last Thursday’s interview with Craig Melvin of Democrat-friendly NBC sealed her fate. The Zen koan-like statement, "It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day," closes the case, a brilliantly meaningless platitude that seems to demand meditation,

Last week, I was in the downtown Bethesda Paper Source store and saw that all the Kamala tchotchkes were on the half price clearance table. An indication that even liberal Bethesda is rejecting her.

It’s best to let this comedy of errors play out and not interfere. By tampering with the system, you get unintended consequences, like Hillary being named as Kommie's replacement, or Pelousy stepping in as president. Leave things alone and see what happens. The Democrats and media created this mess—let them squirm as they try to get out of this mess.

It's a really delicious thought - - that Donald Trump could be elected Speaker of the House - - and become president again - - after Despicable Joe and KamaLOL have self-destructed. It's a thought - - but not a likelihood.

"It's time for us to do what we have been doing. That time is every day". What tha? This sounds like Obama speak droning and whistling through his teeth just to hear himself and deliver nothing. I watched Harris on YouTube once where she was speaking to a small group of social distanced, masked people. Behind a podium she had her arms flailing, karate chopping the air while she repeated over and over "we all in this together. Together we can do this, working together". Yes, it was this dumb sounding. The woman is really a laughing crash test dummy.

She has NEVER had any actual abilities to do anything. She has never had any real skills. She used sex to crookedly get to the middle rungs of the ladder and has been failing upwards ever since. She was selected for the Veep position because she was black-ish and pretty much a blank slate in most people's minds. Now the country finds she has a blank mind, and zero capabilities to do anything at all. Well, she can cackle like a hen, and can't seem to control it, but that isn't a plus. And, with Traitor Joe starting out in his prime as a dimwit with a deep, wide mean streak and corrupt to the core, and now his brain failing from age, it's a hell of a pair at the top. Dumb and dumber, for real.

Years ago being the Vice President was largely a lonesome, anonymous job. Anyone here able to name FDR's VPs? Who was Clinton's? Somehow it was thought a good idea to pump up the office with all sorts of foolishness made to look important. They used Dick Cheney to give gravitas, an old hand ably assisting our President navigate Washington. Today Glass-ceiling-breaking Kammie suffers as she was given some ostensibly "important" duties, and laughed herself into oblivion. She's now casting for rehab help. But, in fact, what did Dan Quayle ever do as VP? He misspelled his way into oblivion...not to mention stepping into the JFK trap during his debate.

In Quayle's case it wasn't his fault, the media started the hit job on him with the Quayle in the Bush thing and the worst thing he ever did was misspell "Potato." Kamala actually is stupid and she demonstrated that long before she helped push Brandon across the finish line with her oxen-like body.

Lifton deserves two corrections. First, the child of two professors is probably going to have a lower IQ than either parent. It is a phenomenon known, in statistics, as regression to the mean. (or towards the mean) I enjoyed pointing that out to my two biological children. Second, Kamala Sutra possessed not one, but two qualifications to advance herself - first, the willingness to provide sexual services to a horny old powerful man, and second, her 'sort of 'blackness. And there is some irony in the fact that she and Dan Quayle each attended law school under the graciousness of affirmative action. (Quayle weaseled his way in, under his law school's 'economically disadvantaged' affirmative action umbrella. He was not- came from a wealthy family, but somehow made the admissions system work for him. It was sort of the equivalent of using black face to qualify.) Kamala Sutra won her senate seat because her opponent, Sanchez, was even dumber than Kamala. And Kamala crashed and burned when running for the dimocrat nomination, faster than anyone I can recall. Her few attempts to campaign in Iowa were awful. She couldn't draw flies, in a State where attending campaign events for even the most obscure candidate is a civic responsibility.

So unfair to Quayle, press refused to say that on the card he was given during the spelling bee he was hosting, the word potato WAS spelled POTATOE, so he spelled it that way in the split second he had to correct the kid in the contest. What a sham for the press to use this against him for 4 years but if you think about it, they do this kind of crap to all conservatives. They give them a dumb label early on and never let go.

The flash card Quayle held spelled "potato" with an "e" at the end. Let's go to the Way Back Machine to read what actually happened that fateful day in class. The VP should probably have said something about it later to the press, but I'm guessing he didn't want to embarrass the student in that moment. https://iconicphotos.wordpress.com/2010/05/16/potatoe/ Here's the entire article: On June 15, 1992, in a classroom in Trenton, New Jersey, Vice-President Dan Quayle cemented his reputation as an intellectual lightweight. As Quayle himself later noted, the gaffe he committed was a perfect illustration of what people thought about him anyway. In Trenton, Quayle was asked to judge with sixth-graders for a spelling bee contest. Twelve-year old William Figueroa was asked to spell potato, which he did on the blackboard. Quayle looked at the spelling bee flashcard that he was given and said, “You’re close, but you left a little something off. The e on the end.” Yes, the flashcard in his hand was misprinted, and Quayle thought potato was spelt with an ‘e’ at the end. As Figueroa added an ‘e’ on the blackboard, puzzled reporters frentically scavanged for a dictioonary in that sixth-grade classroom. The incident was not mentioned until at the end of the press conference afterward, when one reporter asked Quayle, “How do you spell potato?’’ Quayle gave him a puzzled look, and the press started laughing. It made the headlines the next day and was on the television even before Quayle got back home. It didn’t help that William Figueroa called the vice-president ‘an idiot’ afterwards. He was invited onto the Letterman Show. From then on, the incident became a campaign weapon for the Democrats backing Clinton and Gore. Figueroa delivered the pledge of allegiance at the Democratic National Convention that summer. (Figueroa later dropped out of school, and fathered a child). Bush and Quayle handily lost that election. In his 1994 memoir, Quayle devotes a whole chapter to the event and its impact on his career. “It was a defining moment of the worst kind imaginable,’’ Quayle wrote, “Politicians live and die by the symbolic sound bite”.

Re #12. Some of us DO know who certain vice presidents were.....but your point is a good one, most vice presidents are extremely irrelevant, just choosing FDR wasn't a good example. FDR's veep was a Mr. Henry Wallace, a Communist who worked for the Kremlin the whole time he was vice president. The OLD FBI, run by Hoover, was aware of Wallace's Kremlin connection/control and apparently the word went out that if Wallace wasn't replaced on the last election ballot (everyone in DC knew that FDR's health was failing and he was likely to die in office if re-elected) Hoover was going to expose Wallace's treachery and treason before the election. So, some unknown haberdasher from Missouri, elected Senator by the corrupt political boss of KC, Tom Pendergast, was elevated to Veep slot on the ticket, and became President Truman.

Re #22, if you notice I am AGREEING with your point. AFAIK, and as you stipulate, I did not look it up, (and have not as I write this) I think that Henry Wallace was FDR's vice president the whole time until the last election, and working for the Kremlin, the whole time, shilling for Stalin continuously with FDR, which helped Stalin gain a lot of support that he otherwise would not have gotten.

Late last year, I got into a discussion with a fellow who was quite sold on the idea that man’s activities were warming the Earth. While not a hardcore ideologue, it was apparent the gentleman had accepted the climate change narrative presented by mainstream media and believed we truly were imperiling the planet. I didn’t say much to him initially, as we were engaged in some recreation, but later on I resurrected the topic and told him I just wanted to pose one question. “What is the ideal average temperature of the Earth”? I asked. It was clear he was without an answer, so I explained my rationale.

Vice President Kamala Harris insisted Thursday morning that the US was prepared to levy “serious and severe costs” against Russia should its president, Vladimir Putin, order an invasion of Ukraine—hours after President Biden suggested during a White House news conference that a “minor incursion” would be met with a less robust response. President Joe Biden said Wednesday it would be a 'disaster' for Russia if President Vladimir Putin orders an invasion of neighboring Ukraine – as he said he did not know Putin's intentions but said his counterpart doesn't want a 'full-blown war.' But the president also said publicly it was unclear what the response would be if Russia did something short of an all-out invasion – requiring the White House to move immediately to clean up his remarks.'It's one thing if it's a minor incursion and we end up having to fight about what to do and not do, et cetera,' Biden said at a White House press conference
