In this installment of their weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative discuss six examples of the ruination of the once-great Cable News Network (CNN) .
#6: The ratings for CNN continue to crash.
PF: It strikes me that many of our readers, particularly millennials, may be surprised to see our labeling of CNN as “once-great.” Anyone who only became aware of the network in the last decade or two likely assumes CNN has always been essentially just another branch of the Democratic Party’s communication department. But that assumption would be incorrect. While CNN, like most other news networks, has always leaned to the left,

I've wondered before what Ted Turner thinks of CNN today. As the article states, CNN was at one time an excellent news source, especially during the Gulf War era and Turner led the way towards the growth of cable news. I'm sure Turner is a leftie and I never thought much of him but his original CNN was really good.

Six reasons, ten-as long as they fail. It's about justice and reaping what one sows. As humans, we're built to desire and demand justice. People groan when the wicked are in power; people rejoice when they see the power of the wicked destroyed.

Not only was CNN given unprecedented access during Desert Shield/Storm, it was later actually leading Clinton's foreign policy responses. I was stationed at a higher headquarters and we watched CNN to see where the next fight was. Wherever Christiane Amanpour was reporting from was where our or some other service's troops were being sent next.

CNN is the Communist News Network. They are the mouthpiece for the extreme left. There is no further left than these hypocrites. Everyday they are given their talking points and on every show, every damn one of them, they say the same exact thing. If not for the airports there would be no CNN. Got it...

They sold their soul to stay in Iraq in 1992 and wound up being Saddam's mouthpiece. From that point, it was downhill all the way. I used to respect CNN when Ted Turner was in charge, but then he sold his creation and it went to sewage. Not all at once, but the signs were there.

CNN is very much like a certain BOMBSHELL!!! web site. It's all about click bait through the false promise of titillation. Tune in if you dare. Expect to get little to nothing of actual value but breathless reporting of the same-old-same-old. If it isn't COVIDS it's Election 2020 Thievery. Yawn...both have their fans.

Their biggest failure is to continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. I guess as long as cable companies, advertisers, and airports continue to pay CNN fheir fees, CNN will be happy to continue down that path

During the tawdry Clinton years, it was referred at the Clinton National News because they covered for him so well.

CNN has been pushing the left's anti-American angle for a long time before Bush 43. I think maybe to appeal more to the international market. This opened a opportunity so that In 1996 Murdoch (who is not a right winger) started Fox News.
I think maybe it was Fox News that open people's eyes to the bias and lies of CNN which then lead to the fall of CNN ratings, that and the internet.

"Coumo's Emmy"
He only started his "Custom built set" daily Covid Briefings because Trumps daily Covid Briefings were the top TV draw in the daytime, and carried live on Radio too.Trump brought the latest information and data about every aspect of the issue, with the actual experts/people at the tip of the spear in research and response. He took EVERY question from every media outlet about EVERY issue, Covid or not. Local, National and International. The result was Trumps poll numbers pertaining to "Effective leader/Right track/wrong track" started to climb, even with people that HATED him personally.(Trump took more unscripted questions in a single day than Biden has since he declared he was running) As soon as the Media got the Coumo show up and running they started editing Trump comments, cutting away, censoring...even though the Trump Show had the source documents and actual principles, coumo only had second hand info and secondary "NYC Local" officials. The Trump Whitehouse show had a longer run, more viewers, higher rationgs...but not even a mention or nomination for an Award.
Bear in mind Hildebeast and Obammer got Emmy's for reading their fictional/Quasi Biographies on tape. Maybe Grammy's too?

The article makes one glaring omission about the Gulf War coverage - Peter Arnett's unapologetic shilling for Saddam. For those who aren't familiar, he posed in a "baby milk" factory the US bombed. He knew it was a baby milk factory because everything was covered with labels - in English - saying "baby milk" and all were perfectly neat, clean and readable in a pile of debris. Of course, it was actually a military factory, but he tried to sell that story despite how obviously untrue it was, and it was the first clue a lot of people had just how far left CNN was.

Does the 10 percent figure include people trapped in airports from all the cancelled flights, who have to watch CNN like POWs being forced to watch enemy propaganda?

#1, I'm sure that Turner is pleased. He would have like to be this far left, but couldn't at the time.

Maybe CNN had a PR agent write that headline to give us false hope. I don't really care why they tank as long as they tank. To quote a song sung by Lee Ann Womack, ''But I really hate her. I'll think of a reason later.'' Hat tip: Tony Martin et al.

Hell the only people watching CNN anymore are the poor people trapped in airports waiting for their flights.

Without reading the article, there's one reason to explain it all--next to zero journalistic integrity. Sadly, they're far from alone in the race to the bottom of the heap.

Um, #1, I distinctly remember CNN featuring traitor Ramsay Clark reporting from the Middle East during the Gulf War and bashing America and her military while we had boots on the ground in Kuwait and Iraq. Excellent is a word which has NEVER applied to CNN.
