Not everyone in Blue State America is moving to a far healthier Red State. It only seems that way. But enough are doing so to say, without a doubt, it is one of the most significant trends in America today. A revolution of sorts.
It’s long been known in demography and population economics that people leave areas known for authoritarian tyranny, stagnation, stultification, crime and excessive regulation in order to find the opposite somewhere else: economic freedom, dynamism, social diversity and good government.
It’s a big reason why literally hundreds of millions of people around the world have expressed their

You only have to know if people want in, or want out. Isn't that what they say. It's a little like the Euro-exodus that started almost 2 centuries ago.

Our Founding Fathers set up our Federal Republic form of government so the individual States could "compete" against one another in a fair and friendly manner, united in purpose for the national well-being. Part of that thinking was for States to learn from one another, copying what was good, and avoiding the bad, discovered in practice or policy.
Growing up in the 60's, I remember all the fly-over States trying to figure out California's K-12 school model because their education was #1 in test scores and academic achievement. Today, I dare say, it would be low on the list of "most admired" by any other State, except perhaps Mississippi. This is one huge reason why the Federal Depart of Indoctrination... er, I mean Education, is anathema to what the Founders envisioned. Federal anything means "standardization" and that means inflexibility and no more competition. It is Soviet-style dogma locking multiple generations into aged concepts at best and brainwashing at worst.

I only hope these people that are fleeing their blue states remember why they are leaving and vote accordingly in their new states. Blue state tyrannies are a bad thing.

Hey U-Haul carpetbaggers, if you are going to move to my beloved RED state to flee the Communist tyranny YOU voted in there, you better NOT vote for the same when you get here. If you want change, start with a change in your worldview and voting patterns!

The U-Haul folks here in Fort walton Beach bought the old K-Mart property when they went and then expanded operations onto the land on both sides.....the place is huge.

After a lifetime in the Northeast we are considering moving to Florida for exactly the reasons millions from the world over seek to come to the US - Economic freedom, dynamism, social diversity , rational and good government.

Taking issue with the second paragraph, if I leave where I am now, it will not be to find social diversity, which I see as one of the issues we face.

Naturally, U-Haul has raised all of its rates so it can be onboard with inflation.

I would welcome fleeing refugees who want to adapt to our society and become one of us. I would not welcome missionaries who want us to adopt to their "superior" culture that they seek to bless us with. Sadly, we get a lot of the latter.
Nothing that was done, said or thought at your old place is right. Dont do it, dont say it. Especially dont vote for it. And if you have an east coast accent, lose that too. You will be hated for it.
And yes, we carry guns. We all do. Its our right as free Americans and part of our attire. Your little Jennings .25 does not make you tougher than anyone else and nobody is impressed.

one must consider that many of those moving are doing so because their employer has moved and they have no good alternative. They are not fleeing blue state oppression and will likely continue to vote dim as they have been accustomed. I witnessed the rustbelt migration of "the cah people" in the 70s.
Migrants always want the new place to be like back home.

Unfortunately, way too many keep their insane leftist ideas and voting habits when they change states, wrecking the state that they fled to.
