Did you see that hug between Wonder Boy President in Waiting Pete Buttigieg and Back Off Little Man I’m Boss Lady of This House Kamala Harris? I’ve seen leprous porcupines get closer together for a hug. Harris and Buttigieg could have danced like that at a Catholic high school in 1957 and the chaperone would have said, “I’ll allow it. If anything, there’s room for two Holy Spirits in between.”
H and B managed to hug while looking like they wished they were in two different time zones, just as their political fortunes are going in completely different directions:

Jussie Smollett and the two men who attacked him as part of an alleged hate crime hoax participated in a “dry run” of the incident to ensure that it would go according to plan, prosecutor Dan Webb alleged in his Monday evening opening remarks at the disgraced actor’s trial.
“I want you to attack me, but when you hit me, I want you to kind of pull your punches a bit because I don’t want to get seriously hurt,” Smollett told brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, according to Webb. Webb cited alleged video evidence showing Smollett’s Mercedes circling the location of the faked attack

President Biden on Monday said he will unveil his plan Thursday to tackle the new omicron variant of COVID-19, saying the strategy will not include more lockdowns. Instead, Biden plans to rely on vaccinations to combat the latest version of the virus to pose a serious threat.
Speaking during a meeting with CEOs of various companies to discuss the holiday shopping season and his administration’s work to address the supply chain crisis, Biden also said that Americans who are eligible for a booster shot have "no excuse" for not getting one.

In a shortened holiday week like this one, we might expect there would be fewer candidates for KOTW. Virtually all Americans spent Thursday with their families where presumably the only opportunities to display someone’s knuckleheadedness was to their loved ones in a private setting. Similarly, Friday is traditionally spent either relaxing, or perhaps kicking off the holiday shopping season. Therefore, we could assume that with two less days for public idiocy we would see less of it: but that assumption would be incorrect.

An English woman with spina bifida is suing her mother’s former doctor for millions of dollars in health care costs and damages claiming that she should never have been born.
Evie Toombes, a 20-year-old equestrian show jumper from Lincolnshire, is suing her mother’s general practitioner, Dr. Philip Mitchell, for “wrongful conception” after he allegedly failed to advise her mother to take folic acid supplements before getting pregnant that she claims resulted in her birth defect, according to The Telegraph.
Toombes was diagnosed with lipomyelomeningocele after her birth in November 2001, a neural tube defect to the spine.

Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling for an investigation into the rapid increase in turkey prices as Americans face sticker shock at the grocery store.
In a letter sent to Assistant Attorney General of the Antitrust Division Jonathan Kanter this week, Warren is asking the Department of Justice to investigate the poultry industry. She's blaming a rise in prices on "corporate greed," rather than on President Joe Biden's inflationary policies.
"The price of turkey has increased by 24% over the past year, far outpacing other Thanksgiving foods,

An Illinois Democrat has been blasted for describing the deadly Christmas parade rampage in Wisconsin as “karma” for the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse.
Mary Lemanski, who is listed as the social media director for the Democratic Party in DuPage County, began her heartless online tirade by snarkily dismissing the tragedy as “just self-defense." “It was probably just self-defense,” Lemanski wrote in a tweet that appears to have since been deleted, according to Fox News.
“Living in Wisconsin, he probably felt threatened,” another tweet, which was still online Monday morning, read — referring to the driver being held as a person of interest

This week’s top knucklehead hails from the great State of Missouri and is the most recent addition to that lovable group of clowns known as ‘The Squad.’ Representative Cori Bush (D-MO) made a startling claim this week by asserting, “When we marched in Ferguson, white supremacists would hide behind a hill near where Michael Brown Jr. was murdered and shoot at us. They never faced consequences.” You say you don’t remember Ferguson protesters being shot at by white supremacists?"

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) pressed Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday over the impact of President Biden’s vaccine mandate on federal employees.
What will happen if thousands of the 16,000-17,000 Border Patrol agents at the southern border are sidelined over their vaccination status, he wondered.
“This ties back to your desire to give yourself an A for effort on dealing with workforce issues,” Lee said. “But what happens when you’ve got potentially thousands of those, a pretty large percentage, who might soon become ineligible to work based on their vaccination status?

Being wrong is a tough pill to swallow. Tougher for some than others.
Admitting you’re wrong, particularly when you’re the President of the United States, can be even harder. Even more so when everything you do turns into a disaster and your really boneheaded decisions lead to crisis after crisis. From the border crisis to the price of oil to rising prices and a supply chain disaster, Joe Biden’s presidency has been an abject failure from the beginning.
Toss in the reality that Joe Biden never met a buck he failed to pass. The guy who is quick to take credit for the successes

Vice President Kamala Harris is being increasingly alienated in the White House as her approval ratings plummet — as the first female veep feels she’s not getting the same support President Biden gives to white male politicians, according to a detailed new report.
Despite their public show of unity, Biden and his right-hand woman have a dysfunctional relationship that has reached an “exhausted stalemate,” CNN said based on interviews with nearly three dozen insiders.
At a time when the president would usually be expected to promote his vice president as a future replacement in the White House, Biden has instead been sidelining Harris as a potential liability, the report said.

Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the Trump-Russia probe has further discredited the infamous Steele dossier, which provided the roadmap for the liberal media to paint the former president as compromised by the Kremlin and even a possible sexual deviant.
Durham indicted Russian national Igor Danchenko, who is believed to be the sub-source for former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who compiled the dossier.
The scandalous dossier – funded by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign through law firm Perkins Coie – provided the liberal media with countless anti-Trump headlines, cable news segments and helped set the tone for years of daily, feverish Russiagate coverage.

And that's all they have backing up Sleepy Joe. Kamala, the most unlikeable politician since Hillary Clinton, and Mayor Pete who likes choo choo trains but can't figure out how they run. That's a pretty short bench.
