The multitrillion-dollar price tag was a bargain because the bill would totally transform America, President Biden claimed. (Snip) What, pray tell, is the Biden presidency about? What are his convictions and where does he want to take the nation? Merely to raise such questions at this late date signals the problem.

I believe it was Gaylord Nelson, then governor of Wisconsin, who first recognized the right of public employees to collectively bargain, and it was another governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker, who decades later under state law virtually eliminated it with wonderful results for teachers, local governments, and pupils. (Snip) The outrageous directive by Attorney General Merrick Garland (Snip) only highlighted the overweening power of the unionized teachers.

I may be more distraught than usual as I’m dealing with the illness of a beloved pet, but I think even if I were not I’d have to acknowledge that in the absence of any rational leadership things quickly are spinning apart here. (Snip) Is there no good news? I always look for some and, yes, there is some this week, even in the face of feckless, incompetent leaders. Merck says it has developed a pill which prevents mild and moderate cases of COVID from turning into serious health problems. The pill can be taken at home, which should relieve the pressure on hospitals and medical staff.
Dr. Anthony Fauci on Thursday said that the new Mu variant of COVID-19 is not considered to be “an immediate threat” to the US.
Federal officials are “keeping a very close eye” on the virus mutation, though its “not at all even close to being dominant” in the US, the White House chief medical advisor said.
“Bottom line, we’re paying attention to it. We take everything like that seriously, but we don’t consider it an immediate threat right now,” Fauci said during a White House COVID-19 briefing.
The American Medical Association (AMA) is calling for the "immediate end" to the use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19, and for doctors to stop prescribing it for that purpose, amid a spike in the use of the drug.
Ivermectin, often used as a deworming agent in animals and sometimes for humans, is not approved to treat COVID-19 and has not been shown to work for that purpose. Poison control centers have recorded a five-fold increase in calls related to ivermectin, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

It is a testament to the desire everywhere not just to know our history, but to also honor the soldiers who fought and lost their lives to protect our country. He has defended pulling our military out at the same time as he left so many U.S. citizens still in the country.

After a brief respite, the Capitol and surrounding areas are playing the mask game again. Count me out. My mother is 102 and infirm and I will wear a mandated mask to visit her in her senior residence as she and those living there are aged and extremely vulnerable. (Snip) Inside seating is restricted and stupidly you must wear a mask when entering or leaving the establishment but can remove it as soon as you are seated. It’s like playing Simon Says where Simon is psychotic.

During her most recent appearance on CNN, The Conservative Treehouse caught her making a startling admission: The vaccines neither prevent people from catching COVID nor from spreading COVID. At most, they simply reduce the severity of the symptoms people experience if they do catch COVID. From this statement, Sundance draws the logical conclusion: Why should people get vaccine passports if they are both as contagious and as vulnerable to contagion as their unvaccinated cohorts?

One exception is the inaugural address, where the slate is clean and they have an uncluttered chance to define themselves and how they want to be measured.
