Jesse Watters declared Joe Biden a "horrible president" Saturday on "Watters' World," highlighting the president's failed promises and low approval ratings. JESSE WATTERS: I’m sick of beating around the bush. Time to call a spade a spade. Joe Biden is a horrible president. I’ve seen enough. On pace to be one of the worst of all time. Most of the country thinks he’s incompetent, Democrats don’t want him to run again; everyone’s disappointed. We didn’t think it would be this bad this fast. Everything – and I mean everything – he says he’s going to do, he doesn’t do. And everything he says is true, isn’t true.

Residents of some parts of Los Angeles are expressing concern that they may have been exposed to radioactive dust particles after the U.S. Department of Energy demolished a building last month at a former nuclear testing site by using explosives.
Local NBC Los Angeles reported Friday:
The U.S. Department of Energy demolished a building using explosives last month at the highly contaminated Santa Susana Field Lab (SSFL), a former nuclear and rocket test site in the hills above LA. The building was part of a complex at SSFL used to develop nuclear reactors.

It appears that Austria and Australia will soon have more in common than most of the letters in their names. We previously learned that unvaccinated Australians will be looking at being essentially confined to their homes for the foreseeable future following sweeping new government mandates. But now the government of Austria is preparing to follow suit. Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg made the unofficial announcement on Friday, with an official order expected in the next few days. After seeing another surge in new COVID cases, Austria’s government had already put a number of restrictions in place, but under the new order, there won’t be any wiggle room left.

Thousands of demonstrators descended on to Melbourne’s central business district on Saturday, protesting against the Victorian government’s new pandemic powers and vaccine mandates.
The protest, which included signs advocating violence against politicians and a man carrying a prop gallows with three nooses hanging from it, came as the state recorded 1,221 Covid-19 cases and four deaths.
Wet weather did not deter the crowd, which chanted “kill the bill” and “sack Dan Andrews” as it blocked tram lines and marched from the Victorian State Library to Parliament House in Spring Street.

In this episode of “Here’s All You Need to Know About the So-Called ‘Mainstream’ Media”…
Liberal-“leaning” billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, founder and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, said on Thursday he was contacted by the media and asked if his Twitter account had been hacked after he posted a series of tweets in defense of Kyle Rittenhouse, the now 18-year-old on trial for murder in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Rittenhouse was 17 at the time of the two alleged murders.
Before we continue, here’s the thing. The “why” I chose to write this article.
First, it’s not about Bill Ackman. Who’s Bill Ackman, right?

It’s good to start a new school — whether your goal is teaching children to read or helping advanced students realize their greatest potential. So why all the controversy about the founding of the University of Austin?
When UATX announced its arrival this week, it was greeted with acclaim by some (especially donors, it seems) and with mockery by others. Former New York Times columnist and now Substack star Bari Weiss led off by turning her newsletter over to the founding president of UATX, Pano Kanelos. Although recently the proud president of a school devoted to the Western canon’s great books, Kanelos lamented the sorry state of American higher education.

This week, the Kyle Rittenhouse trial heated up as more and more details came out about exactly what happened that night.
In true Tucker Carlson fashion, he had a hilarious and sarcastic take on the trial, especially when it comes to Joseph Rosenbaum, a chid rapist who attacked Rittenhouse that night last summer.
“The trial confirmed exactly what happened, and here are the facts about it. A convicted child rapist called Joseph Rosenbaum was released from a mental hospital and then went directly to join the mob that was burning downtown Kenosha. Once he got to the riot, Rosenbaum saw Kyle Rittenhouse and immediately threatened to kill him,” Tucker explained.

But Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Binger – who has led the prosecution’s murder case against Kyle Rittenhouse – has made the trial look more like an episode from the 1980s sitcom “Night Court” than a high-profile trial receiving national attention. And speaking of TV lawyers, do you suppose Binger graduated from The University of America Samoa Law School like Jimmy McGill from “Better Call Saul?”

The standard premium for Part B, which covers outpatient care and durable equipment, will be $170.10 next year, up $21.60 from $148.50 this year, said a senior official for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on Friday. The program’s trustees had estimated this summer that the premium would rise to $158.50.
The deductible for Part B will be $233, up $30 (14.8%) from this year. The bigger-than-anticipated increase is partly attributed to rising prices and utilization

As Tom Tapp reported for Deadline, this is the third time that Newsom has issued such an extension. He also wrote:

The news is a perilous business. It’s perilous because the first draft of history is almost always somewhat wrong, and needs a second draft, and a third, and so on, over time, until the historian can investigate with more perspective and calm. The job of journalists is to do as best they can, day by day, and respond swiftly when they screw up, correct the record, and move forward.(snip)
But when the sources of news keep getting things wrong, and all the errors lie in the exact same direction, and they are reluctant to acknowledge error, we have a problem.

As it is with “medical expert” commentary, the state of legal analysis in the media is absolutely dire, as we’ve noted here previously.
One big reason why is thanks to the strong political biases of legal analysts like CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin. While it’s not necessarily a bad thing to be a politically opinionated legal analyst, what is wrong is allowing your biases to cloud your judgment as to the specific facts of the cases/trials on which you’re being asked to provide comment and analysis.
In Toobin’s case, his analyses about the Kyle Rittenhouse case have been so bad that even the trial’s judge – Bruce Schroeder, an evil man according to leftists

While much of the attention of the nation remains on the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, there is good news from the frontline of the battle against the Covid Regime. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has reaffirmed it’s stay on the Mandate. Such stays are issued when it appears that the petitioners are likely to succeed on the merits of their case. In the 21 page opinion—which you can read here—the Court explains exactly why they think the petitioners will succeed.
What I’ve done below is provide excerpts from the opinion, basically from the introduction to the detailed legal analysis.

The US Consumer Inflation Report for October was horrible, showing a 12% annualized rate of price change. But it’s even worse than it looks. The shelter component of the index lags the more reliable private gauges of rent inflation. That means worse is to come. Three US companies publish national rent indexes – CoreLogic, Zillow and Apartmentlist.com – and their readings of year-on-year rent inflation range from 9% to 16%. But the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a year-on-year rise in the rents of just 3.4%. Shelter represents a third of household expenditures according to the Consumer Price Index.

LoVe consists of a network of underwater cables and sensors located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, an area of strategic interest for both Norway and Russia.(Snip)An unmanned submarine traced the cause to Node 2, a surveillance platform 820 feet

No, the Democrats—aka “The Party of Science”—did not flunk high school biology. Between grade inflation and “woke” stupidity, nobody flunks much of anything in high school these days.
But there is another explanation why they—and even the vaunted Dr. Anthony Fauci—act as if natural immunity is not the best immunity against COVID-19 as it is against so many other illnesses, including childhood ones.
In case you did miss high school biology and have been living under an Everest-size pile of rocks, natural immunity is what you have via antibodies after an illness ends that prevents you from getting that illness again.

“Woke” was coined by the left some years ago to describe a person who had become sensitive to the left’s pet issues, especially racial and “social justice” ones. It implied that a person disagreeing with the left about those issues was not just wrong, but unconscious.
This catchy term was initially successful. But the left never succeeds at success. That’s because what’s important to them is not being successful in resolving grievances, but parading those grievances as evidence of their victimhood.
Victim status is more important to the left than winning – and easier too.

The prosecution in the Kyle Rittenhouse Trial is caught TAMPERING with evidence, The Kyle Rittenhouse Trial has turned into a political show trial!
The late stages of Kyle Rittenhouse’s murder trial in the shooting of three men highlighted the U.S. legal system’s constant debate over forensic technologies, even fundamental ideas taken for granted outside the courtroom.
Rittenhouse’s defense team challenged Kenosha County prosecutors’ attempt to introduce enlarged images taken from drone video footage. Prosecutors said the images were a clear contradiction of Rittenhouse’s earlier testimony that he had not pointed his weapon at protesters prior to killing Joseph Rosenbaum.

Chauncey Devega, a race essentialist and staff writer for Salon, insists that Critical Race Theory is a fairytale. In his recent article, "'Critical race theory' is a fairytale — but America's monsters are real," Devega insists that CRT is a lie, a damn lie, and suggests everyday white folks are "doing the work of racism and white supremacy" by "[s]upporting Republican fascists who tell evil fairytales about 'Critical Race Theory.'"
Devega makes his case by bloviating for ten full paragraphs about an old Southern boogieman called the "Goat Man," a legendary monster that terrorized black communities in North Carolina by gobbling up black American men and boys.

The Washington Post on Friday took the unusual step of correcting and retracting portions of two articles, published in 2017 and 2019, that relied on the now-discredited, Trump-bashing Steele dossier.Sally Buzbee, the executive editor for the Washington Post, revealed the newspaper was unable to stand by the accuracy of their reporting regarding source Sergei Millian — former president of the Russian-American Chamber of Commerce — noting the recent indictment filed by Special Counsel John Durham this month. “The original version of this article published on March 29, 2017, said that Sergei Millian was a source for parts of a dossier

I appreciate Dr. Levine’s honest answer at the Governor’s press conference this week when asked why our state’s Covid-19 rates are so high given that Vermont has the country’s highest vaccination rate. One reason he stated is that we have “low natural immunity.” Are any reporters asking the follow up questions here? How could this be? CORRECTION*

We want to start tonight with Joe Biden, the isolated and deeply unpopular president of the United States. At this point, pretty much no one likes Joe Biden or will admit it. The latest USA Today poll has Biden at a terrifying 38% job approval rating. Biden's been in office less than a year, and already two-thirds of voters do not want him to run again.
How unpopular is Joe Biden as of tonight? Let's put it this way. He's only 10 points above the single most despised person in the United States, which is his own vice president.

Up until Friday, the Kyle Rittenhouse trial was very clear: Easily understood videos and witness testimony (including testimony from the prosecution witnesses) showed that Kyle, despite trying hard to avoid conflict, was attacked by a crazed child rapist, whom Kyle shot as the rapist was grabbing Kyle’s gun, at which point a mob went after Kyle. He then shot and killed a domestic abuser (snip) On Thursday, however, the court allowed prosecutors to enter into evidence a fuzzy photo from a late-produced drone, an image prosecutors argue shows Kyle “provoking” the attacks against him. Provocation destroys Kyle’s assertion that he acted in self-defense.

Reps Liz Cheney (RINO-WY) and Bennie Thompson (D-MS) are seeking criminal charges on Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows after he failed to appear before their sham January 6 Committee.
The Marxists on the January 6 Committee issued Meadows a subpoena because he was with Trump on January 6.
Meadows, like Bannon, defied the subpoena and was instructed by Trump to “respect long-standing principles of executive privilege.”
“Mr. Meadows’s actions today—choosing to defy the law—will force the Select Committee to consider pursuing contempt or other proceedings to enforce the subpoena,” Thompson and Cheney, vice chair of the sham panel, said in a statement Friday.

After having their entire case obliterated by video evidence and bombshell witness testimony all week – with some of the worst blows coming from their own ‘star’ witnesses – prosecutors for the state’s case against Kyle Rittenhouse finally came to the realization that their arguments had gotten them nowhere.
In a shocking admission on Friday, the prosecution said that because of the evidence presented in the case “a reasonable jury or juror” could acquit Rittenhouse on the most serious charges that he faces.
Even the least serious of the charges that Rittenhouse faces – illegal possession of a firearm – may be dismissed by the judge in the case.

The Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals on Friday announced a vaccine mandate for their employees. In a statement to FOX 8, the clinic said: “Recently, vaccine requirements were announced for healthcare systems regulated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). In accordance with these federal mandates, we are requiring all of our U.S. employees and those who provide services with us to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by January 4th.(Snip) In anticipation of this rule, we had enacted a COVID-19 Vaccine Validation Program to collect the vaccination status of all of our caregivers throughout our U.S. locations.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has called state legislators to come together next week for a special session to consider several proposals that push back against Biden’s authoritarian COVID-19 vaccine mandates for workers and employers.
The main piece of legislation being weighed is a proposal to decide whether the state should withdraw itself from the partisan oversight of Biden’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The measure was introduced earlier this month and sponsored by Republicans Sen. Travis Hutson and Rep. Ardian Zika after OSHA had finally issued its Emergency Temporary Standard relating to Biden’s vaccine mandate for businesses with 100 employees or more.

Biotechnology company Moderna Therapeutics has officially begun large-scale testing of its experimental COVID-19 vaccine on America’s youngest children.
As of “late October,” Moderna’s clinical trial – dubbed KidCOVE – kicked off phase III, which tests the controversial mRNA vaccine technology on children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years old. It will be conducted across 79 locations in 13 states and involve about ~13,250 participants in total.
Phases I and II of the trial, which tested on 12-17-year-olds and 5-11-year-olds – respectively, were completed over the past several months.
Now, researchers are turning to toddlers and infants to carry out their experiments –

New York Magazine writer and founder of the “1619 Project” Nikole Hannah-Jones took to Twitter this week to offer her historically illiterate take on why the United States bombed Hiroshima during World War II.In a now-deleted Nov. 6 tweet, Jones attempted to argue that the only reason the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city was due to financial reasons.“They dropped the bomb when they knew surrender was coming because they’d spent all this money developing it and to prove it was worth it,” she wrote. “Propaganda is not history my friend.” (Tweet)
