All of the major networks and the Associated Press have declared that Glenn Youngkin will be the next governor of Virginia. According to Politico, Youngkin currently leads by 2.7 percentage points. Terry McAuliffe’s un-concession speech made it all too obvious that he has controversial election attorney Marc Elias working on this even as you read this. Will it work? Nope. (Snip) There is no automatic recount in Virginia, and any loser contesting the election must show that the margin between the recount requester and the winning candidate is less than or equal to one percent of the total votes cast for the two candidates.

Democrats astonished: thought they had cheated enough, lost anyway.

Not over yet. As long as the counting continues there is still time to "discover" boxes of overlooked ballots in somebody's trunk somewhere.

While we have learned there is ALWAYS time enough to steal an election especially after polls close, that Dims are 'astonished' is testament to their arrogance and being out of touch with voters. They win when when WE sit on our butts.

The Dems will go the Stacey Adams route, if they don't concede. McAuliffe is the perfect bookend for this pair of fools.

Let me guess Fairfax county is still "counting" and the Dems are waiting for a large quantity of ballots from the USPS.

If Youngkin's victory is certified, I'll be happy that Clintonite McCullough was defeated, but I won't be as jubilant as the conservative press seems to be. Sure, a Republican defeated a Democrat, but this victory came about because the education of children suddenly soared to the top issue for voters. From what I've read, Youngkin is no Conservative and has sidestepped his stand on a lot of conservative issues, fortuitously championing the cause of the parents who are fighting the Loudan County school board. Let's see how he governs before we get too excited. Is he better than McCullough? Probably. But he may turn out to be another Mitt Romney. We need more conservatives with conviction, fighters like DeSantis and Abbott in the Republican party, not more who pretend to be conservative only to win an election and then stab us in the back or turn into namby-pamby, scared of the media, do-nothing politicians.

"Decisive vicory"? 67,000 out of about 3 million votes cast? My bet is that the Dems put in 100-200K of fraudulent votes, expecting that to be enough to win, but were out voted.
Probably the margin, instead of the 67,000 votes that are reported was far greater, but reduced by the Dem vote fraud machine.

I am not surprised Youngkin won this, Winsome Sears as well. I am surprised that McAuliffe dropped any challenges to yesterday's election. My guess is that he was told privately to concede after the multiple gaffes he made regarding parents and their kids, and too many white teachers in VA.
Then there was Obama and his 'we don't have time for this kind of culture war' garbage. Calling parental concern for their children culture war, not to mention the Loudon rapist bringing outrage from parents, was beyond the pale. But then, it was Obama.
