Later this month, private- and public-sector “leaders” will meet in Glasgow, Scotland. Nearly all will fly to the conference, many in private jets. And what will they talk about? Saving the climate from greenhouse gas emissions, of course.
The United Nations Conference of Parties on climate change, the 26th version of this long-running clown show, starts Oct. 31 and will run through Nov. 12. Media coverage will be both intense and obsequious; attendees, especially the ever-smug John Kerry, “special” climate envoy to the president, will speak in somber tones due to the seriousness at hand; warnings of impending doom will be issued; and absolutely nothing will be accomplished.

Useless people tend to do nothing more than hold meaningless meetings. They're intellectual shoplifters.

This is hardly “useless..” it is about instituting draconian control over the plebes. Increasing energy prices, eliminating natural gas, squashing private transportation (except for the elite’s Escalades, Tahoes and Maybachs, and of course the Gulfstreams) and ending the sale of beef, pork and other commodities. In other words, they want us DEAD.

Meaningless? They have a majority of young Americans and many others around the globe believing in their impending doom via planetary incineration, and a turn to global communism as the only solution and you think that's meaningless?

They will meet and talk about the "seriousness " of deadly climate change. John Kerry will lecture us. Maybe Greta will yell at us. Then they will get to their real agenda. Big parties, fancy meals, expensive hotels, entertainment, and congratulating each other for caring so much.

The article forgot to mention that the attendees will be shuttled around in a fleet of Teslas, which will be kept charged by rented DIESEL generators, thereby burning more fuel than if they had just used IC powered vehicles.
Hypocrites, the whole damn green movement!

They have money and money is power.
They are using this power to feed a young generation with the false view that people can control the climate.
People can clean up the air , but they cannot do it while some nations are allowed to dirty it while other nations attempt to clean it. They cannot clean it with windmills and solar panels either.

Haven't they heard of this new technology called Zoom? Imagine how much they could improve the environment just by staying home.

Pursuant to a recent article,
"In 2019, China's emissions not only eclipsed that of the US - the world's second-largest emitter at 11% of the global total - but also, for the first time, surpassed the emissions of all developed countries combined... When added together, GHG emissions from all member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD), as well as all 27 EU member states, reached 14,057 MMt CO2e in 2019, about 36 MMt CO2e short of China's total."
So, do you think China just doesn't know? They're too stupid to know what they are saying?
No, I don't.
China has a lot of very smart people, and I suspect they've looked at what is being said, and concluding a different conclusion.
Which means someone may not be telling the truth about the "dire" condition of the global cooling, global warming, climate change numbers.

More style over substance. Travel, hold a press conference, take a few pictures looking "concerned", and head for home.
