Aspirin is one of those drugs that has been around forever. It is commonly used as a pain reliever, anti-inflammatory, and as a blood thinner. Surprisingly it may also have benefit in treating COVID.
A paper in Anesthesia and Analgesia published last spring titled, “Aspirin use is associated with decreased mechanical ventilation, intensive care unit admission, and in-hospital mortality in hospitalized patients with coronavirus disease 2019.”

Waiting now for the suggestion that aspirin become 'prescription only'.

The study supports the FLCCC which has aspirin in its protocol for those ill with mild cv-19. More proof they are right. Last year there were rumors that after taking a few doses of 500 mg aspirin people sick with the virus pulled right out of it. Yet OTC therapy has actively been quashed from the beginning - test positive, go home & maybe take some Tylenol - is the whole extent of the corporate owned doctors' advice. Yet here we go - bashing another proven OTC therapy! People are told they cannot take charge of their own health. The authoritarian bent of government and corporate medicine is killing us. From the beginning of this mess people have been denied treatment and good common sense advice from their physicians because of the corporate medical-governmental complex. Good physicians are discouraged to prescribe or promote remedies that their training and years of experience have inspired them to use to combat this novel disease. As you all know they have have been actually threatened with loss of their licenses by the state governments, the Feds & their own medical associations.

Do we need any more proof that the medical profession has abandoned the patients, in favor of cash?
They have been complicit in stripping every cheap medication that actually works against covid out of your hands.
If you still blindly trust what you doctors say because they are so highly educated....STOP IT!!!
"If science was never questioned, you'd still be drinking cocaine, giving children cough syrup with heroin, spraying people wit DDT, and smoking the cigarette brand your doctor recommended."

DDT should not have been banned. Its benefits for preventing malaria far outweighed its negatives which amounted to some made up nonsense about eggshells being thinner.

I read the original report last week and went right out to purchase 700 aspirin tablets, before it is taken off the market. There is also evidence that the supplement Quercetin is helpful in recovering from CV19. It’s readily available in the vitamin aisle and online but we’ll probably soon see a “report” about its dangers too.
These days I’m relying on holistic medicine and acupuncture to stay healthy.

My mother swore by aspirin and we took it as children if we got a fever - which wasn't often, we were quite a hardy family. She was a nurse and knew a thing or three about medications.

Over 20 years ago, my doctor told me about the low dose aspirin study done... with a large number of doctors... back then. It was a long term study and doctors were chosen because it was felt they could be counted upon to be disciplined in taking what they were assigned... whether it was the low dose aspirin or the placebo. It was a multi year study... but it was cancelled after a couple years.
Why? Because in that short amount of time, placebo doctors were dying at a rate that far exceeded the rate of the aspirin doctors. The test sponsors knew they were condemning people, costing lives, if the efficacy of the aspirin was not shared by all. I did nothing when I heard about this... but then a client, one who was in astounding physical shape, had a heart attack while working out at a gym. 48 years old. I've taken them ever since. Over 20 year now.

And, by the way, to have to worry about bleeding, you'd have to take much more than the baby aspirin or occasional aspirin. You have to take multiple doses daily for a long period.
A single regular aspirin is 325 gr of the salace.... whatev. Two seem to help with covid.
And a hangover. And BTW, not bad for your liver like Tylenol. Just sayin'.

I have been taking aspirin now for over ten years daily with my blood pressure medication. I only stopped prior to two surgeries I had in the past year then started again. One thing I did notice was after chemotherapy in the early 1990s for almost a year in two sessions I have not caught colds, flu or many other things I would catch in my childhood, poison ivy being one. My immune system is very different now except for allergies. This is the reason I don't want poison injected in me to upset my standard.
Now the war on aspirin will start the government can't tolerate success.

Like others, I've been on a doctor-recommended regimen of 81 mg aspirin for years. No ill effects.
Trusting anyone in this COVIDS "pandemic" is nearly impossible, on either side. Everyone has their special interest at heart. As an adult I do what I think best for myself based on my evaluation of information presented. Government-presented information falls lowest on my scale.
If people taking the low-dose aspirin suddenly stop, it only proves their gullibility. So many are followers of whatever they heard last. It's "settled science" until Dr. Oz or some quack guest on "Ellen!" says otherwise. The shelves are full of rubbish to ingest, with disclaimers they claim to cure or prevent nothing, that all have their champions and endorsers.
My old man was big on "goose grease"...swore by it. Granddad took a shot of rye every night. My father-in-law was on whatever Popular Science or the like was pushing. As they say, it's always something, and I've got a bottle of ancient elixir said to have been brought by the gods...a miracle cure now available to all of us. Caveat emptor.

I have taken aspirin for headaches since I was a teen. I haven't had a headache in probably 25 years now, but my cardiologist put me on a full 325 mg aspirin each day more than 15 years ago. I always took it after breakfast with a full stomach.
A new cardiologist, the first guy retired, wanted me to go to 80 mg, and I refused at first, but after repeated whining, I went to one 81 mg in the AM, then one at night.
Clotting protection and systemic anti-inflammatory affects have done very well for me.
Scroom. I'm going to keep taking it. It is good for me.

Due to a similar article last week and posters explaining their positive results from aspirin, I put myself on the 81mg daily dosage. Cheers!

#7: a little history. CA has been terrorized for years by fruit flies. CA, in its infinite wisdom, got rid of all the predators which would eat fruit flies, like bats. Now fruit flies reproduce at a staggering rate, nature having provided a winnowing mechanism to destroy almost all of them. But no. CA has to interfere and destroy the winnowing mechanism. Kill the bats. Then, in a sign of further wisdom, CA sprayed DDT outside to kill the fruit flies (cannot threaten commerce, you know). Now DDT is a chemical which is effective when sprayed on interior walls, where it harms nobody and controls pests. Sprayed outside DDT kills birds (which would have eaten the fruit flies). [Note that there are no birds inside.] This is like the CA approach to forest fires. Do not allow the forest litter to burn up. Let it pile up until you can destroy a few hundred square miles of property. Up until 1900 small fires were common in CA. But NO. Smokey the Bear says no fires. So we get BIIIIG fires. And everybody has to have electricity, so sparking transformers are in every back yard, to ignite the forest litter.
Hooray for progressive government. And now we cannot have water, because the snail darter has to be protected.
Goofy place, CA. No wonder they elected Newsome.

But now the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force has announced that people over 60 should not begin taking aspirin because of bleeding. Of course! It might interfere with sales of expensive drugs coming along. But millions of people take aspirin daily. If the aspirin scare takes hold and some of these people quit taking aspirin suddenly, there will be a lot of deaths among them. There is a rebound effect that produces clotting. But why should our overlords care about that when it’s in the service of protecting another expensive medical treatment?
