Donald Trump had an incredible legacy as president, but sometimes he can be his own worst enemy. More broadly, as the leader of the Republican Party, he’s ensuring that his self-inflicted wounds damage not only his own (presumed) electoral chances but those of other Republicans as well.
Clearly, Trump has yet to get over the fact that he is not the one currently sitting in the White House following the 2020 election. It’s true that millions of Americans wish he were currently the president, enacting policies to make America great. But as they say, if wishes were horses, then

President Trump is right, as usual. If we don't fix the cheating and fraud mechanisms set in place by the democrats in 2020 (and before), the republicans will never elect another president.

If the rolls were reversed the left would be burning the cities down.
Oh wait they're already doing that.
Being polite and playing by the rules has not served us well.
And what the hell is wrong with wanting a president who's the good manager and a straight shooter.
Donald Trump should carry on just like hes doing and a whole lot of republicans should imitate him.

Forgetting what occurred in the election isn't going to happen for many conservatives. There's too much evidence of fraud and too many people in D.C. who knew about it and did nothing to correct it. The discovery of how much fraud took place is still being discovered, and with evidence that Zuckerberg spent over 400 million to influence the voting in key states just feeds to the narrative that Biteme won nothing in 2020.

Unfortunately the loss of the election and the unlawful acts perpetrated by dims in the election process are tightly intertwined.
Can we really have a national movement to prevent such unlawful conduct in the future if we “get over”, ie “forget”, that Trump lost or very well could have lost the election as a result of those acts?
The election of a venal and senile fraud instead of a highly competent CEO is the vehicle for keeping the need for reform in the public mindspace. Otherwise it disappears under the waves of fresh cnn agiprop.
We’re going to have to get over it and keep hammering it at the same time.

Why does it have to be one way or the other? Why can’t Mr. Trump remind voters of the irregularities of the 2020 election AND make a case that his policies were exceedingly better than FJB’s?
Still, I would put my energy on the better policies.

It's one thing to not forget, another to let the memory blind us to what's ahead. If you think '20 was the first "irregular" election, you're rather young or have a short memory. Texas and Chicago in 1960 come vividly to mind.
We cannot afford to sow suspicion and distrust in our voting ranks. That's to be done to the other side!

Okay, let's just forfeit the elections in '22...it's over. It's not rigged if one side forfeits, is it? And then some would cry conservative voter repression.
Hillary still carries on about '16 Russian collusion. Does that have any traction except for the true believers? Sure, the '16 election was rigged...against her. And so were the 2000 and 2004 elections decided by crooked judges and Dominion machines in Ohio...so say the Democrats. But rather than force them to common ground, the patriots want to fight...and generally fight the last war.
Look, election reforms have been made or are on the table in several states. No matter what Q or anyone says, Trump is not returning from Elbe soon. Biden was installed fair and square, if you want to play a Constitutional originalist...the Electoral College was cofirmed by each state legislature and voted as required. Six REPUBLICAN legislatures sent the Biden electors that sealed the deal. No challenges were effectively made or upheld. Biden wins!
While not forgetting, Trump's like the guy in a sports bar eating his wings and whining about the Astros cheating in the World Series...and it's not going to change a thing. Okay, it's not right...but it is. Now, let's do something about the future, and let's "win" in '22.

#3 -- When I and yhe rest of the country went to sleep on Election Night 2020, President Trump was way ahead and everybody thought he had won. When I woke up to go to the bathroom in the wee hours it had flopped.
For anybody who didn't see that as a red flag -- highly suspicious at a minimum, they were and still are intentionally burying their heads in the sand.

One day, I hope Thomas Gallatin returns home to find that a homeless family has broken into his house and decided to claim it as their own.
Given what he is telling President Trump to do, I know he will gladly walk away from his house and his stuff -- since "playing nice" is apparently what is most important to him. It doesn't matter that it is legally his house, it's the "playing nice" that is most important.
Yeah, that makes as much sense as saying that President Trump shouldn't keep fighting the election fraud and theft that cost him his legal and rightful second term last November!!!
This is exactly why, after over 50 years of proudly being a Republican, I became an independent conservative last November. The Republican Party has become the Republi-Can't Party. I will never vote for a Demon-Rat, as they are all pure evil. But I will no longer vote for a spineless RINO Republi-Can't just because he or she has an "R" after their name. I used to always vote for the Republican as the lesser of two evils. But I refuse to ever vote for evil again!!!! And our political contributions will go directly to good conservative candidates -- never again a penny to the useless and evil RNC!!!!

Trump is right, election fraud and mail-in ballots have to be fixed. Winning in 2022!?? Let us look at the GOP today under McConnell. No national or organized protest against mandated vaccines and the punitive punishments be done to those who refuse to get the vaccine. NO real outrage against all that is in the infrastructure bill other than the cost. No outrage against the weaponization of the DOJ against parents, or the weaponization of the IRS with new reporting requirements. NO mention of the energy crisis and high prices now and the ones coming. NO solution for the backlog of tankers, which we find out was created by the EPA and California on the West coast. In fact, I have not seen the GOP do anything other than sound bites and belittling Trump. So no Trump is not the problem and reversing the House and Senate in 22 is not a guaranteed solution.

Hillary’s constant complaining about 2016 got her nowhere with her party because she obviously could not move on and lead. Don’t fixate on the ump’s bad call the last time you eere up.

President Trump has a large constituency of loyal patriots who love him. This includes Republicans, Independents and Trump Democrats along with the Military and Evangelicals Christians. They will never be swayed by candy bars handed to people from the radicals.
I believe, now is the time for President Trump to instill and inspire people with optimism for the future. Optimism will drive us to victory. This includes the younger millennials' and gen Z. They needed most of all. He knows how to do it. Let the Trump Posse do the ground work. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz are two shining examples of Washington warriors and there are others. On the outside of DC, are Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk, to name a few, who are inspiring the younger generations. We have millions of loyal fighters around the country who will not put up with the Biden dictatorship.

I read on CNN what I now read here, that Trump says Republicans shouldn't vote in the next 2 elections unless he gets his way about 2020. And from comments here, It appears many LDotters are willing to help Trump put himself above his country by giving Congress to the Democrats the same way he gave them the Senate in the Georgia election.

Trump is right to be talking about it. It can’t be allowed to go away. It can’t be allowed to be ignored. He’s right that many of his supporters will stay home and not vote. We know that’s what the Dems want. Seems that’s what the Republicans want too. Maybe because they were complicit?

Judging from the crowd at his last Rally (in Iowa), I would say they ALL know about the Fraud in the Election and they are mad as Hell. Trump is right to bring it up, it needs to be on everyone's minds when Nov 2022. We need to beat the Democrats on every level from Dog Catcher to the U.S. Senate and House! We need to win by so much that the Democrats won't know what hit them! So, I don't think Trump is going to quit talking anytime soon! Deal with it! He seems to know what he's doing!

On what basis should any American with an ounce of integrity "get over" the multi-state election fraud we already know about? Biden was, and remains unfit for office.
Cheating in the 2020 election was only one part of an organized effort that began before the 2016 election. The goal was to keep Donald Trump out of the White House in 2016, or to get him thrown out via impeachment if he won. Neither scheme worked, so for a brief time Americans saw their lives improved, the fake asylum seekers kept in Mexico, and reasons for optimism all around them while Donald Trump served their nation's interests.
That all ended with Joe Biden getting (we're told) the most votes of any president in US history. Mr. Gallatin is getting ahead of himself with his call to move on before justice is served.

This is the type of article that with the provocative headline and lede statement that sounds anti-Trump at first glance, which discourages many on this site from reading the full article. The author does bring up some really important points that are not anti-Trump. How does Donald Trump's continuous harping on 2020 prevent it from happening again? He saw the fraud coming from the start of election season in 2019-20 but was not able to stop it. I think what the author is saying is that for Trump to get back in the White House to good things to get the U. S. back on track, he must adapt to the reality that he must focus on a future vision and policies and not be laser-focused on 2020. That doesn't mean pretend like it never happened but he was a sitting president during the lead up to the 2020 elections and couldn't stop the fraud he knew was coming, so harping on it a year later does not a winning game plan make. The best chance, perhaps the only chance, to see America through to the next presidential election in 2024 is for Republicans to take back control of Congress in 1022. A Republican Congressional landslide would go a long way to blunt Biden's communist tendencies and pave the way for better securing election integrity for 2024. I believe the author is positing that Trump has an opportunity to broaden his supporting base, given the disaster that is the Biden administration, and provide such a margin of votes that the same type of cheating cannot work ins '24, especially if a GOP majority in Congress in 2023 can pass legislation similar to what the Texas legislature passed earlier this year to prevent the bulk of democrat-organized cheating we believe happened in 2020.

To proceed as if nothing happened in 2022 is not only insane it is irresponsible. Every time democrats best us by hook or crook, we just continue on and say, we’ll get ‘em the next time. But for the cowardice of so many Republicans in leadership positions, we may not be swirling down the drain right now. If our electeds had some backbone and stood up and said, wait a minute, there is too much evidence of fraud to ignore it. They did not. In fact, some of them were urging President Trump to forget it and move on. Do you think democrats would have done the same if the shoe were on the other foot? If you do, you can’t be that naive.
The biggest crime of the century happened the night of November 3, 2020, and we are told it’s just too hard to fight that battle. Forget it. Move on. Why would we do that even after democrats did the same thing again in the California recall election this year. Have they put on the brakes, had a change of heart, or decided to play by the rules? Heck no! They will continue to steal any election in the future because they can and they got away with it and will get away with it again. Democrats just nullified the votes of 80 million Americans in order to steal what they could not win and I bet President Trump’s real numbers were much higher.
This country was created by courageous men and women who went up against the most powerful government in the world at that time. It’s a good thing they didn’t take advice from this author. You fight because it is the right thing to do not the most expedient. You fight for right when you face massive opposition. You certainly fight when your beloved country is being destroyed by an illegitimate government hell bent on fundamentally transforming the Republic into a totalitarian nightmare. What we are living through is a direct result of cowardice on the part of the Republican leadership’s abject failure to lead. What Americans saw with their own eyes, they discarded as unimportant. November 3rd was the day the deep state decided to go for broke and use every means necessary to deny President Trump the Presidency because he was the one guy willing to stand in the way of their globalist dream. We are living through a coup D’etat and this author and others of the same mindset refuse to acknowledge what is right in front of their faces. Now they cry sour grapes to shut up any discussion. They would rather acquiesce and let democrats totally destroy everything we hold dear than even have a conversation about what transpired the night of November 3, 2020. They disgust me.

I tend to agree with the author. But I look at it this way. Pres Trump can use his time this year to point out the fraud in the 2020 election. Was it enough to change the results? I'm not sure, but it could have. Most elections, I'd say no, but this one, well, there are some things that don't pass the smell test, but could I prove an organized plan for fraud, probably not.
Pres Trump should continue to push for election transparency and close those loopholes that allow non-election officials to request, handle, deliver, or return ballots.
But at sometime in 2022, he needs to pivot back to what he (and the real Republican party) can do to Make America Great Again, Again (MAGA-A). How to fix the mess that Sleepy Creepy Crooked President Uncle Joe and his mob have done in the last nine months and want to do for the next three plus years.
Give us a reason to vote FOR good solid conservative candidates, not that Biden is a dumb fraud. We all know that.
