Two things occurred to our editorial team as we watched things spin out of control at the Capitol yesterday afternoon: First, we knew this would be one of those few-in-a-lifetime days that we remember because of its uniqueness and its gravity [Snip] Searching for some honor and decency amid the rubble that was January 6, 2021, we came across these simple words from Vice President Mike Pence: “It’s my considered judgment that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not.”

Pence did what was constitutionally correct. As for President Trump, his risk taking for the past five years is what this country needs. The risk he took yesterday blew up in his face. The rally should not have happened. The buck stops with him.
I hope he doesn’t abandon his quest to fix this nation’s atrocious electoral system. The Capitol break in can’t hide that the country was robbed in November. I hope he recovers from this set back and continues to fight. I won’t blame him he decides he has had enough.

That is your opinion Mr. Stone and it is crap. President Trump gave his usual fire and brimstone rallying cry. But he urged his hundreds of thousands of supporters to be peaceful. Contrary to your smear, they were. If you would do a little research about the shooting of Ashlie Babbit, there is a NEW video of her murder, or watch the video of Capitol Police removing a metal barrier to let protesters into the building. It is clear there was much more at work here than Trump supporters protesting.

Pence ignored the constitution, the millions of voters who voted for his boss, and all the fraud and cheating that was not only on video, but witnessed to by many many people. Churchian Pence allowed the same cowardly spirit into his soul that Judas did OP, and the best thing for him is political oblivion. Enjoy your thirty pieces of silver Pence, and don't let the door hit you where the Lord split you.
In all the years of commenting here, starting way back in the early Clinton years and before Drudge, I have never witnessed a seminar troll posting #1. Not ever.

You idiot, none of the senators ever had any intention of investigating crap.

WRT the VP's claim that his hands were tied, Levin offered up an excellent comparison that shows how he shirked his Constitutional duty. Suppose a state legislature passes a law that says no electors can be black. They then certify there electoral count and send it to the Congress - where the President of the Senate does not have the authority to disqualify those votes? Same thing applies to fraudulent votes, of which there were scores in 2020.

Throughout this ordeal I, along with a number of posters, have held out hope that Trump was truly a shrewd and masterful planner - the angler fish lying in the depths waiting for the minnow to swim close enough. He claimed that "We caught em!" over and over. Some of us believed him, just as we believed Barr and Durham would bring the coup plotters to justice and that the truth, law and justice would ultimately prevail. Alas! I now acknowledge that we have passed into a dark time. Truth, justice and honor are no longer the lamps that illuminate our nation. The feckless murmurings of Pence and members of Congress echoed hollowly within the Capitol chamber. They will not invest their lives, fortunes and sacred honor for our liberty. We citizens have been stripped of our freedoms, including confidence in our precious right to vote.
My Father served in World War II and was gravely injured on the beach at Iwo Jima. My brother and I also served. This morning I lowered the flag that had stood proudly at our home.

I don't see how the Constitution prevented you from recognizing fraud, criminality and a stolen election MR. Pence.
Time for John Adams again:
"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

What a crock. Pence supported the stealing of the election, just that simple.
I disagree with the OP and the author in the most fundamental way. The election got stolen by massive fraud, and all the courts, essentially all the Deep State folks are just happy with that, not a problem, we don't see any fraud....and DON'T YOU DARE try to show me any evidence of it, the judge will find that you have no "standing" and will NOT listen to anything associated with election fraud. Covering ears, and chanting "Nah --- Nah --Nah " loudly is NOT 'looking into it'.
Pence is a loser.

The MSM’s immediate and very complimentary treatment of Pence post-certification tells us what we need to know about Mike Pence. In three pages of flowery attempts to persuade us of his Constitutional and noble decision, he may have fooled some but he can’t fool God.
Yes, #5. Not one Republican Senator was genuine in TRULY standing against the theft if an election.

Who is this sanctimonious twit, Douglas Andrews? He's just another "Pure Conservative" I guess, who shows you that he is above the fray of bare knuckle politics. Well, Doug, see where purity of thought in politics gets you when the lefty Commies run all over you and the rest of us! You want to fight with the Marquis of Queensbury Rules while they trample you with back alley tactics. Get real for once!

Get ready to have this BS crammed down our throats day and night. It will go into history books that are already full of lies and be fed to our children and grand children. Fact is, Pence is a backstabbing POS, who, when offered the carrot or the stick by the deep state, happily grabbed the carrot and started munching.

Relax, OP was a prime member of the Never Trump brigade and disappeared. I guess the paychecks are coming back.
There were others, but they either moderated their views or changed them. Point is, don't feed the trolls.

Notice that they are not saying who shot Ashli Babbit? And not only no "who", not even an attempt at a lie about "why" she was gunned down.
What the hell is going on? You cannot just shoot down unarmed people for no reason.
Name the officer and come up with some phony story about why the heck it was "necessary" to kill someone.

Johnathan Turley wrote a great piece today. I'm paraphrasing but basically the President's attempts to bring evidence to the courts were dismissed on technical details rather than anything substantive. In my language the courts were ducking their responsibility. Rather than participating in the search for truth and justice, the courts balked with technicalities. The evidence never gets presented. The name of the game now is create a fraud complex enough to require lengthy investigation, run out the clock, and you win. The Biden crime family wins. All the crap Hunter and James pulled will now fade away and the "Big Guy" laughs all the way to the bank. I know, I know. They launder the money. Just a figure of speech.

Pay no attention to the sweeping fraud over there and those traitor hypocrites hired to work for US working against US in the dead of the night. Look! there's a breach of the Capitol. They're taking selfies with the Capitol police. Oh, there's a curfew. Time to go home. File out in a single line please. Thanks for coming.

Oh no, #9, it is much worse. More like a brothel. When members of congress take campaign contributions from enemies of America and then sit on their hands when multiple examples of voter fraud are presented to them, it is much worse than a beer hall.
Did you and the poster miss the part about proven ANTIFA agents being at the front of the destruction of the capital break in? Any serious search will show you the guy in the viking hat. He is so confident that are impassioned fools like you two that he didn't even bother dumping the hat. For 12 months hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters gathered at rallies and they didn't attack anyone or tear down a statue or break a window, but ANTIFA killed people. Wake up idiots, ANTIFA used this exactly like the Nazis used the beer hall riots and useful idiots like you are buying into it. Read a history book, circa 1930-40. It's been done before and China is doing it again.

Mike Pence is a man of integrity who respects our Constitution. I can no longer say the same for President Donald J. Trump. His rally where he urged his supporters to go to the Capitol amounted to yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater. It also made it politically impossible for GOP Senators and Representatives to start an investigation of ballot handling. His presidency has ended as a shambles and it's 100% his fault.
