Recently, I was suspended from my job for refusing to treat my black students as lesser than their non-black peers. Let me back up: I teach at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and I’ve been doing this for 40 years. I’ve taught 15 different courses, in finance, accounting and law. (Snip) My saga — which nearly led to my firing — began on the morning of June 2, 2020, when a non-black student in my class on tax principles and law emailed me to ask that I grade his black classmates with greater “leniency” than others in the class.

Suggestion to Mr. Klein: Contact the students who signed the petition to have him fired. Many may not have signed it at all and are unaware of this fact. Many may recall someone shoving a form in their face (electronically) stating that a "racist white professor was trying to hurt black students", a misrepresentation of the circumstances.
I see this all the time used against conservative public faces. Its possible as few as a dozen paid activists represented themselves as thousands, falsifying signatures and backed by an Elite group above (Like George Soros) who want a scalp to display. If you can actually track down the origins of this scheme against you, you may be shocked at how big the issue really is.

No other posts yet? I believe this professor's lawsuit is a clear and important point of sanity and courage which casts a bright light on the cowardice of most in administrative positions today. If the general population doesn't show a preference for our constitutionally protected rights, then why should we expect the courts or anyone else to? Right now too many are allowing a socialist mob to seize rule over journalism, education, and government.

Due to this bull, I wouldn't go to a black doctor or engage a black lawyer. I'm sure there will be tax credits eventually for people who do take a chance with lower standards.

Every day I think that it can't get worse. By noon, I find that I was wrong.
This country has lost its collective mind. We are literally in bizzaro world.

Any student that has to take a harder test because of the University's racial discrimination has standing to sue the University. The resulting lower class standing and those who will inevitable lose a 'cum lade' designation have direct impacts on a lifetimes worth of income. Sue them, sue them HARD.

Wow, Mr. Klein is way too intelligent for the dolt who sent the email, and the fools who demanded he be fired or worse. Who raises these idiots? Stay strong and win this battle Mr. Klein.

Wanting to treat all students equally is now grounds for firing.
Official rascism is the mandatory policy today in many large organizations.
Racism is REQUIRED.

Affirmative action that is letting lower preforming High School students to attend UCLA in the first place is a disservice to the student because they can not compete against the top 5% or so of the high School students that are normally admitted to the UC system. Its a recipe for failure. Now these fake grades are how the left fixes the problem they created. Sort of kicking the can down the road, now these fake grads will be failures in the real world. Will the solution be like some said here mentioned be given tax credits or some other form of government help so they can compete in the real world?

As a prospective employer this tells me on no uncertain terms that black students from UCLA are ill educated, entitled, and thus unemployable. likewise their woke white graduates. Of course I've known that for a long time now.

So, how does he know who is "black" and who is not? I've seen recent arrival Indians who were more black in color than most inner city blacks. He isn't an expert on "race," which is all hooey anyway.
Good luck with the lawsuit! Schools are sick and need to get back to the power of academics and excellence in teaching, else this nation will sink to the it of abject mediocrity in the world.
