Bob Woodward's new book, Peril, reportedly makes allegations about the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Milley, which if true, make Milley a traitor to our country.
The book indicates that Milley went outside the chain of command and called his counterpart in the Chinese military, Gen. Li Zuocheng, after the 2020 elections. He gave assurances that then-president Trump would not attack China and that if an attack was ordered by the president, Milley he would warn him so it wouldn't be a surprise.
This is extremely problematic on a number of levels.
First, the United States has a civilian military command.
Milley as a member of the Joint Chiefs is forbidden by law to have "a command".. It's incredible to me that ANY general can defend Milley. All those officers from whom Milley received their pledge of allegiance to him are also guilty of treason . They all, at that level, should have understood that Milley was betraying the Constitution and the laws of the country.

Gen Milley’s conduct is disturbing and shows that the elitist military will turn their back on the people and kiss arse for power, prestige, and self greed. The young have more sense and honor for our country and the constitution and freedom. It’s time for Gen Milley, and many others, (both civilian and military) to be held accountable and removed from their throne of power. The damage has been done and will even get worse if overlooked.

The risk was that China might have believed the old drunkard, and launched against us.
Fortunately, they must know him better than we do - an armchair general with a library card and a bottle of Jack Daniels.

Someone on Fox put it succinctly: the Muslim Army Dr. who shot up Ft. Hood showed who he really was all along the way, yet the Army kept promoting him because they were afraid of being called racist. And individuals who saw who he was were afraid for the careers. As to Milley, he is the Peter principle in the flesh, someone promoted to the level of incompetence.

With all his flashy medals and ribbons the bloated meat head with his simplest of mind makes me believe stolen valor.
This crazy chow hound general stepped way out of bounds and the people who pledged to him are just as guilty of treason of the worst degree. This is firing squad makings.

What does the reaction to Gen. Milley's conduct say about our system and our leaders? This is a matter at the heart of our Constitution: The civilian control of the military. Milley plainly and admittedly violated that core tenet. Some would say treasonous, others mutinous, but most agree it was wrong. So, where is the outrage from those who should be most outraged? Where is CINC Biden on this? Subterfuge of this sort is okay? Where are the Chiefs of Staff? Do they agree this is accepatable conduct under the oath they took? Where is Congress? Where are the ranks of retired flag officers decrying this misconduct? The officers' corps? Anyone?
Next Hannity will be telling us about the 99% of hardworking, honest flag officers...well, let's hear from them. Certainly, there must have been some loss of confidence in Army and military leadership over this...no?

Milley is a perfect example of the phrase, " Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."

This is an excellent article. Weiss hits every mark.
I wonder how many Americans know what the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is and does - and cannot do? I’d say precious few. In the past, much has been made of the men who held this political position. It’s my bet that most thought he was very close to the president in command status. No. Nada.

It's possible to see evil, incompetence and brain damage in the same administration. Obama's bunch of misfits had the same problem with Barry being adverse to whites, Jews, Christians and Americans in general. What are the odds?

The only statement I would question is that Milley revealed to China that our intelligence agencies are leaky That has been the case since the Kenyan took office and China knew it back then. They also illegally use all of their capabilities to spy on the American people.

First, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was, in fact up until 2002 part of the National Command Authority, comprising the President, SecDef and the CJCS. When this changed, he reverted to an advisory capacity only. THE big disadvantage to this is it took any semblance of a national strategy out of the picture for any unified global action. This is what we needed for a global war on terror but did not have. Remember, the Combatant Commands have the reins, but no troops on a permanent basis except what the NCA sends hither and yon depending on what direction the wind blows. I have seen an OPORD from the JCS. It was just a series of lengthy questions asking the combatant commander how he would do things. If I or my cohorts published such an order, we would be out on our keisters.
Second, IMO Hassan kept on being promoted not because the Army was afraid of being called racist, but because the Army medical establishment had/has a huge problem with retention. even with a large number of contract physicians and nurses at installations, you, the American taxpayer, shower bonuses and incentives on docs and nurses in huge amounts. And again IMO, there id only one group in the military we should draft in an emergency and that's the aforementioned medical professionals. It has just become too expensive and the money would be better spent on infantry, armor, artillery, etc. retention.

It says the Milley is an extremely politicized General who is hanging with the leftist and socialist Democrats in an effort to keep his job.
