While visiting a tavern in Wisconsin, a masked Jim Smart noticed the bartender wasn't wearing a mask. He asked if she was vaccinated.
"She said no, 'I don't believe in the science.' I said, 'What about the people in the kitchen?' She went to ask and came back and said, 'They don't want to tell you,' " said Smart. "I said, screw that and left." Smart, a restaurant designer who lost friends and business to COVID-19, has "run out of patience" with people who refuse to get vaccinated. "I'm all for personal rights, but holy smokes," he said. "It's my life I'm trying to protect.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said Sunday that the U.S. should return to normal within the year as his COVID-19 booster was approved for the elderly and other higher risk communities. 'Finally, Moderna's CEO said this week that the pandemic is on course to be over in about a year. Do you agree with that?' ABC This Week host George Stephanapoulos asked Bourla on Sunday.
(Snip)He said that the most likely outcome is that people will need to continue to get coronavirus booster vaccines annually, similar to how people get the flu shot each year to protect against the most likely variant of the influenza virus that year.

Sir Keir Starmer today said a Labour MP was wrong to say that 'only women have a cervix'. Rosie Duffield, the MP for Canterbury, has opted to stay away from the Labour Party's annual conference in Brighton amid online threats from trans activists who view her remarks as discriminatory.
Sir Keir said this morning that 'it is something that shouldn't be said' and 'it is not right'.(Snip)We need to, I think, bear in mind that the trans community are amongst the most marginalised and abused communities and wherever we have got to on the law we need to go further and we want to go further on that.

New York state workers who are fired for refusing to get vaccinated are not eligible for unemployment insurance, Gov. Kathy Hochul said on Saturday—just two days before the deadline for workers to get the jab.
New York City teachers and state health care workers in hospitals and nursing homes have to prove that they received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by Monday. The only exception to the vaccine mandate is a valid, doctor-approved request for medical accommodation.(Snip)Hochul specifically referred to hospital workers, but New York City is bracing for a similar situation, with about 13 percent of roughly 78,000 teachers

September was officially proclaimed African Heritage Month with an outdoor ceremony on Friday in Prince George’s County, Maryland. County Executive Angela Alsobrooks established the African Diaspora Advisory Board about two years ago. Sylvia Dasi, the board’s liaison for the county, said the day was important for the African community in the area. “Let’s celebrate the African immigrant, the African representation, the African identity, the African diversity,” Dasi said. The event marked the board’s first annual African Heritage Month celebration as a crowd gathered to hear speakers and stand up and dance outside of the county administration building. Alsobrooks honored the theme of the month: “The African Immigrant.”

One panel could show Barack Obama styled as a saint with a foot resting on Lady Liberty's neck, handing out food stamp cards and cell phones to jubilant People of Color, with many more approaching from a broken border in the distance. The other could show rapper Lil Nas X engaged in a sex act with Satan while young children look on in wonderment, with churches burning in the distance. A nation should celebrate its core values, and certainly the old windows, which depicted pious men of great virtue who dared defend their individual states from federal overreach, needed to go as we embrace global Marxism.
