A bit more than a month ago I wrote about “My troubling COVID vaccine story experiences.” Aside from citing a friend who developed heart inflammation after taking a coronavirus genetic-therapy agent (GTA, a.k.a. a “vaccine”; more on this later), I mentioned that I’d had some unusual experiences: I encountered two men within a relatively short period of time, at the same recreational facility, who told me they’d had heart attacks — after taking SARS-CoV-2 GTAs. I recently saw a mother taking her children home from school. Two of the little ones stripped off their masks, enjoying the feeling of the sun on their face as they breathed freely for the first time that day. The youngest child refused to take off his mask even as his siblings urged him. When I think about the West’s project to liberate Afghan women, my mind conjures a line from T.S. Eliot: “The last temptation is the greatest treason/to do the right deed for the wrong reason.” In Afghanistan, we engaged in a twenty-year, deliciously self-righteous, tragically ill-designed mission best expressed by flipping that sentence.
We did the wrong thing, perhaps for the right reason. We wanted to develop that country and rescue Afghan women. Their lives were hellish, girls banned from school, women forbidden to leave their homes except in the company of a male guardian, vigilantes beating them with sticks if their burqa was too short.
As I write this on Sunday afternoon, a Thursday Washington Post article headlined, “Postal Service workers not included in President Biden’s mandatory vaccination order, source says,” remains on the Post website uncorrected.
According to Post reporter Jacob Bogage, “postal workers would be strongly encouraged to comply with the mandate,” but they would not be forced to get vaccinated. One of the biggest stories in the media concerns hospitals filled to overflowing with COVID patients. However, as an article in The Atlantic (of all places!) informs us, these numbers are misleading. Almost half of the people in the hospital with COVID are either mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic. In other words, to anyone running around screaming, “We’re all gonna die!” the answer is “No, we’re not.”
The biggest story is that of a 73-year-old Alabama man who purportedly died from a treatable heart attack after dozens of hospitals across a three-state region turned him away owing to the fact that their ICUs were overflowing with COVID patients.
On Tuesday, a Clinton-appointed federal judge granted an emergency injunction preventing the state of New York from enforcing a Covid-19 vaccine mandate for its healthcare workers.
Former Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the healthcare worker vaccine mandate on August 16 prompting more than a dozen healthcare professionals to request a court enjoinder. The mandate requires hospitals staff and employees of long-term care facilities to be vaccinated in order to remain employed.
The suit argues that medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and medical technicians face losing their careers and livelihoods if they refuse to receive a vaccine that contradicts their religious beliefs.

It is prompted by this story, out of Portland State, of a professor who is leaving the academy after enduring one vicious and disgusting attack after another: swastikas (and feces) on his office door, lectures disrupted, slanderous attacks on his family life, institutional denial of the most basic rights of the accused—indeed, hatred from the very people who should be rewarding him for his courage. He is no conservative. He seems to have no notion of truth outside of the realm of strict rationalism. He and I would disagree about many things. But he has a mind, and he uses it, and therefore he is dangerous.
In his pre-taped remarks (how many takes were needed to get a coherent version?) on the twentieth anniversary of the 9/11 jihad attacks that killed 2,977 people, Old Joe Biden lamented the fact, as Matt Margolis noted yesterday, that since that terrible day, “we also witnessed the dark forces of human nature. Fear and anger. Resentment and violence against Muslim-Americans — true and faithful followers of a peaceful religion.” (Snip) But it was unfortunate that Biden once again repeated this hoary and easily disproven chestnut about Islam being a “peaceful religion”; at this point this idea is nothing more than a dogma of the Leftist faith, not to be questioned,
On Thursday, "President" Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. broke another of his promises by requiring vaccine mandates on most, but not all, American citizens. The next day, Fox News aired a terrific seven-minute segment by Lara Logan titled "Mandate Nation," and it's really worth watching (see below).
Ms. Logan began the show reporting on new directives to OSHA not to report on COVID vaccine side-effects. She then segued into recent reports from the U.K. and Israel that report on serious problems with the vaccines.

President Biden slammed Border Patrol agents filmed on horseback attempting to stop migrants from crossing the Rio Grande into Texas, saying they would “pay” for their actions.
“It was horrible to see what you saw, to see people treated like they did—horses barely running them over people being strapped,” Biden said at a press conference at the White House on Friday. “It’s outrageous. I promise you those people will pay.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki announced Thursday that Border Patrol agents will no longer be permitted to use horses to guard the border in Del Rio, Texas, after “horrific” photos emerged of agents swinging long reins while interacting with Haitian migrants.
The announcement comes after the media caused a frenzy by falsely portraying the videos and photos as showing agents hitting the migrants with whips. It was later revealed that the agents were in fact wielding the long reins that make it easier to maintain control of their horses, according to Border Control chief Raul Ortiz.

After months of delays and blistering criticism, a review of the 2020 election in Arizona’s largest county, ordered up and financed by Republicans, has failed to show that former President Donald J. Trump was cheated of victory, according to draft versions of the report.
In fact, the draft report from the company Cyber Ninjas found just the opposite: It tallied 99 additional votes for President Biden and 261 fewer votes for Mr. Trump in Maricopa County, the fast-growing region that includes Phoenix.

Codevilla was the author of the stunning essay, "The Ruling Class," which Rush Limbaugh read aloud on his show. He understood better than anyone the mentality of that class and what it meant for us peons. He was a brilliant scholar who could write for ordinary people. His death is a terrible loss to our side.
