Newt Gingrich, the one-time history professor whose insights in 1994 about the American electorate helped Republicans gain control of the House for the first time in 40 years, thinks he’s got a plan that will return Congress to Republican control in 2022. His research has revealed that there are multiple unifying issues that concern all Americans and that Republicans are the ones with the more appealing platforms regarding those arguments. (Snip) According to Gingrich, there are 16 issues that bind Americans together. Indeed, 85% of voters are in accord as to these issues, with only a left fringe opposing the majority viewpoint.
The most obvious issue is defunding the police,

The Democrats control the media and count the votes. Newt is thinking about 1970 America, not the America of today, which has no homogenity, no shared traditions, not even a common language. The Democrats and Republicans are ran by the elite that write the legislation and omnibus it through Congress, all the money being divided among themselves. Now that they can print money, the governments control over half the economy, and run the other half by regulation and intimidation. There are no points of accord. I want a divorce.

I suppose the republican party has no young stars that they can count on. We have tossed their Rinos to the side. So they think they can bring out the old stars, who led us through years of uniparty, to get our eye off the ball.
They think we don't realize that every future election has an arrange outcome. We know they have not participated in fighting the election fraud - they continue with this tripe of "we'll get 'em next time". They just don't get it!
At this point, if we can't have Trump, Rand is about the only one I would trust.

First and foremost, an honest and secure voting system. Now that people have had a taste of unrestricted democrat rule for eight months, democrats will be persona non grata for many moons.

The dems haven't won over the hearts and minds of people, Newt. With everything they threw at PDT, he still got the most legal votes of any president in 2020, and we all know biden stole more than half of those he claimed to get. Issues are minor; it's the theft that we have to deal with--past and present. PA is no closer to an audit today than they were last November. Arizona is going nowhere along with GA, Wisconsin, or anywhere else. They stole the American presidency, everybody and their mama knows it, and there's nothing to be done about it. At the very least, we should have a plan to steal everything back and then some. Trust, the dems plan to steal everything they need to steal to maintain power. Most of them are aging; this is their last chance.

So do I. It involves lampposts, piano wire and a lot of communist slime.
Forget about issues stuff, Newt. This isn't 1994, and there is no such thing as an informed electorate, or free elections. This is the time of government handouts, and the stupid and woke.

We are not getting excited about the next "election" until the crooked mail-in voting and counting machines are thrown out... that will not happen in the blue states OR in red states where the officials can be bought or threatened. Really, you can see the guilt in their faces... also Milley's face and the Sec-Def. Our Supreme Court needs to step up and do their job... or are they also bought??? Switched/stolen votes showed on the TV screen in CA, but Newsom "won."

A great article, as most of them are, from The American Thinker--
The polling data mentioned and the link to Gingrich's website are quite thought provoking, and make for strong arguments.
The problem I see is that while it is well noted that EVERY demonrat socialists has voted for the 3.5 TRILLION dollar plan, the unfunded mandates IN THE FUTURE really make this a low ball figure, much like NobamaCare was low balled at below ONE TRILLION but is much MUCH more expensive. This purpose of this proposed legislation is to completely UNDERMINE our economic system--
The polling statistics are compelling, and an argument is made about how MOST people do not want it, but the OVER RIDING POINT MISSED is that virtually the entire media that people consume is generated by a near monopoly of distribution so that we get told thing over and over so many times that when FACTS and TRUTH manage to get out, we have BEEN CONDITIONED to believe the LIE through unending propaganda fed to us by the media.
To the average American, POCKET BOOK issues like HUGE takes hikes, the increased cost to buy food, and sustain their families is going to be the best selling point. WE don't get to vote on this huge boondoggle!
As Representative Chip Roy of Texas said recently, we must put our Representatives in a BOX and make sure that they know in uncertain terms that THEY REPRESENT U.S. and not the other way around, and that THEY will be held accountable. Only an OVERWHELMING amount of pressure is going to make these people realize THE PEOPLE are not going to go along with this folly and NEW basket of goodies to keep electing socialists over the well being of the people.
Almost 2 million illegal aliens, abandoning Americans in Afgahnistan, higher gas prices, rationing of life-saving monoclonal antibodies, the foolishness of condemning persons who are NOT racist and the like have no place in our society that is being fractured and people being divided against each other by MEDIA saturation is not the way--
There, more ideas added to Mr. Newt's list to tell your Representative in DC not to screw you and your family over while running over you in the bus called "democratic socialism". This is the hill we must make those in DC die on......!

There is no chance of electing a Republican again, anywhere. Democrats count the ballots, and print as many as they need. I voted in 2020. That is, I put a ballot in a bin outside the polling place. I have no evidence that my vote counted. It might have been thrown in the trash. It might have been changed to a vote for Biden. But the Dems made SURE that I do not know who I voted for.
Gingrich is a fool. We do not have elections anymore.
We are controlled by President Milley and his cadre of a Military Junta, run from Communist China.

DO IT, but first enlist and assign people to watch the crooks for illegal voting and then watch the count of the votes...

A great number of Americans thrive under Big Government Socialism. There is a small and shrinking percentage of people who do not receive a check or other benefits from government, and much of the money supporting this web is Federal. What is one willing to shave to shrink BGS? Soc Sec and Medicare? Oh, wait, we "paid" for those...and it's still socialism. Education? The teachers union has that in the bag. Poor educators can hardly survive as it is. Welfare? It would wipe out a number of depressed communities, not to mention urban America. Unemployment benefits? Sure, tell your single mother neighbor hers is cut. Defense? Oh, NO WAY!! And don't mention veterans benefits, either.
Nice try Newt...but many Americans like to trade bits of freedom for security...that includes lifestyle security...especially if someone else is paying for their free shtuff.

A correction to this article is that the “one-time history professor” in 1994 when the Republicans won the House after 40 years in the wilderness, was the minority leader of the House. Gingrich didn’t “help” gain control of the House; he orchestrated it.
Gingrich is an interesting character. There is no Republican who is more at home in the DC swamp than Newt Gingrich. I often wonder when was the last time he visited his home state of Georgia.
That said he should be heard. He realizes that the Republican plan for winning next year by hoping
the Democrats implode is the game plan of losers. One cannot beat someone with nothing. House minority leader McCarthy and Senate minority leader McConnell have no vision, seem to have no strategy and whose tactics have failed miserably.
Newt may be a comfortable swamp dweller but he did deliver the goods In 1994, is undeniably smart and realizes that the predicted red wave next year may turn out to be an impotent ripple due to clueless Republicans.

My plan for Congress would be to arrest all of those in Congress who participated in the 2020 election theft, and let's just start with an empty Congress. That'd be a lot better than what we have now.

The article goes on to point to the cowardice of the Republicans, most of whom are incapable of implementing Gingrich's plan because they are afraid of the Democrats and of being called racist. She says Republicans may win in spite of themselves, not because of themselves.
