Wednesday, hundreds of protesters gathered amid a four-day event calling on state and federal leaders to stop the progress of Enbridge Energy’s Line 3 oil pipeline. Protesters were gathering for the "Treaties not Tar Sands Rally to Stop Line 3" at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. "I think my whole life and my whole history is defined by water," Karen Goulet, a member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe who is helping to lead the rally, said in a statement.

Ask these morons if they had a pool how would they fill it up? Would they run a hose to the pool or fill up buckets and dump them? The oil/gas has got to get to where it needs to go so if you stop the pipeline, you'll have tanker truck after tanker truck running on the interstates at 3-5 times the cost.

The protestors can turn off their heat, park their cars, reject plastics, not fly. No protest required. Think of the progress if all Democrats locked themselves up at home, wore face masks, phones and computers not allowed due to being made from plastics. I feel those small sacrifices alone would save the planet.

Evil people, want to take away our oil....which takes away all our plastics, composites, rubber for tires, much home heating and ALL transportation, other than a few ridiculous electric cars....which have huge amounts of plastics, composites and rubber tires and are mostly charged up with coal and natural gas base electricity.

How did the protesters get to the capitol and then go home. I'll bet they didn't walk or ride a bike.

But the last straw came when an Asian business delegation arriving at the Minneapolis airport encountered a sign reading "Kill Asian Carp." It was a well-intentioned plea to prevent spread of the invasive fish. But the message was off-putting to the visitors.

During an address to the nation Thursday evening, President Biden vowed to “hunt down” the terrorists behind the bombings at the Kabul airport and said the U.S. military will continue to evacuate American citizens and allies despite the disruption. Biden spoke hours after two bombs were detonated outside the Hamid Karzai Airport in Kabul. One suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device at the airport’s central Abbey gate, killing at least twelve American troops and wounding 15 others. A second bomber detonated his device outside the Baron Hotel, near the airport’s perimeter. It remains unclear whether any Americans were killed in that blast.

Seven US Capitol Police officers are suing former President Donald Trump, Stop the Steal rally organizers and members of far-right extremist groups, accusing them of spreading lies, using White supremacist sentiments to attempt to overthrow the 2020 election, and ultimately bearing responsibility for the riot that injured more than 140 officers on January 6. "Plaintiffs and their fellow law enforcement officers risked their lives to defend the Capitol from a violent, mass attack — an attack provoked, aided, and joined by Defendants in an unlawful effort to use force, intimidation, and threats to prevent Congress from certifying the results of the 2020 Presidential election," says the lawsuit

One of the most effective ways for the MSM to shut down an inquiry into misconduct is to say it is all a conspiracy theory. Besides avoiding an unwanted discussion, the charge also invites scrutiny of the "theorist" instead of the issue itself. Notice how quickly some even start off saying something like "I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but..." Expecting their reaction, we have become almost trained to do this. But are there really no big conspiracies? It has been claimed that the phrase "conspiracy theory" was invented by the government to discourage the questioning of official explanations for important events, especially the JFK assassination.

In a move no one can grasp, U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders, and Afghan allies, believing the Taliban would allow them to enter the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport. Lawmakers and military officials are outraged. The insane move was designed to expedite the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from Kabul by the August 31 deadline. It also came as the Biden administration began relying on the Taliban for security outside the airport. ISIS-K has since set up forces around the soon-to-be-renamed Hamid Karzai International Airport.
