Putting Communism in the Dock

I might have a slight advantage over most of the brilliant people who write for American Thinker. I am significantly older and from the ex-USSR, so I have lived through and experienced first-hand all the charms of the regime that is now -- slowly, but steadily – being installed in America (and, subsequently, in the whole civilized world). What I am referring to comes under different names and in different clothes, whether it’s today’s American Democratic Party, neo-Marxists, Soviet and international communists, Hitler’s Nazis, Islamists, the Black Lives Matter gang, white supremacists, woke adherents, etc. But the name does not matter; what unites all the people marching under those banners

Stalin admired Hitler's methods, studied and copied them, and so have the Democrats, and leftists everywhere. If a minority controls the police, the military, and the elections, then the masses can be put down easily. Hitler gained power winning only a third of the Reichstag. After he got power, he established control of the police and military, then there were no other elections. A political party in power is the law, once the constitution is disregarded.

Deep and brilliant insight - Must read. Igor nails the solution and accurately names our current need, leadership. Who will lead the needed resistance? It could be Donald Trump or somebody else with totally selfless motives. The worst outcome of revolutions is ending up with a dictator worse than the one who is deposed. We have one advantage over the hapless Russians and the rest of those crushed by communism, the biggest private arsenal in the world. We may not have to use it but its presence is critical. Let's get 'em while we can.

What puzzles me is why people refuse to think for themselves. It is obvious. I trust most people can tell you that Nazi means National Socialist. The Communists are still attacking the entire free world. Hitler probably wanted to do the same but he was a little more patient in his approach. He chose to make alliances and treaties with anyone it wasn't practical to attack until later. Stalin realized that wasn't necessary, he could strive to undermine all the democracies of the world while still doing business with them. That is the way the left is still succeeding today.

I always thought that Hitler attacking Russia during WWII was like attacking his partner or ally. It never made any sense to me. He was attacking a country that was run by people with the same goals as his.

FTA: "People must be brought to understand that Soviet and international Communism is -- ideologically, economically, politically, culturally -- absolutely the same in its essence as Nazi ideology. The obvious and visible differences are superficial. " and "If the Left continues its course, we will have Cambodia’s killing fields on our Main streets." I'm afraid that he is exactly correct. But, his recommendation to try the ideology is not going to happen, and even if it did, would change nothing, sadly. I don't see any peaceful, friendly, pleasant path forward. I hope I am wrong.

Joe Biden certainly isn't the first president to violate his oath of office, but he might be the first in memory to openly brag about doing it.As Biden announced a new "eviction moratorium," he informed Americans that the "bulk of constitutional scholars" would say the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eviction moratorium is "not likely to pass constitutional muster."Not likely? It already failed. In June, Justice Brett Kavanaugh agreed with the majority Supreme Court that the CDC "exceeded its existing statutory authority," even though he allowed the order to sunset.

Washington—The Senate moved closer to passing a $1 trillion infrastructure package Saturday after lawmakers from both parties came together and voted to clear a key procedural hurdle, but the action soon stalled out as opponents tried to slow the rush to approve one of President Joe Biden’s top priorities. The measure would provide a massive injection of federal money for a range of public works programs, from roads and bridges to broadband internet access, drinking water and more. In a rare stroke of bipartisanship, Republicans joined the Democrats to overcome the 60-vote threshold needed to advance the measure toward final votes. The vote was 67-27, a robust tally. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer set up a critical vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill Saturday after talks to expedite the process fell apart late Thursday. Both Republicans and Democrats engaged in marathon talks Thursday in a bid to vote on a package of amendments and to advance the sweeping public works package. Doing so, however, required approval from all 100 senators, and Tennessee Republican Sen. Bill Hagerty refused to go along even as his Republican colleagues urged him to do so.

In systems theory, complex systems are said to be resilient when they can withstand damage on multiple fronts and still function properly. The ecosystem is one such system. Although we are bombarded with intentional misinformation about Earth's imminent destruction to scare people into handing complete control over their private economic decisions to a small cabal of techno-fascists, political aristocrats, and Build Back Better oligarchs who promise to use their new powers to save lives, our planet's thermodynamic management of atmospheric gases and heat energy is robust without the help of cubicle bureaucrats.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has an impressive resume but nothing in it meant that he was qualified to be the ultimate decision-maker for a contagious disease, especially one that his actions helped create. It’s high time his wings are clipped before more Americans die.Dr. Anthony Fauci is brilliant. At least according to his fawning Wikipedia entry, which says he graduated number one in his medical school class at Cornell, and then did two years of internal medicine residency at their prestigious hospital, following which he was invited to train and work at the NIH (unfairly, in my opinion, called a yellow beret.)

Former President Barack Obama has allegedly scaled back his big 60th birthday party after most of his supporters questioned the wisdom of holding an event for hundreds of people during a resurgent pandemic. Plans for the Saturday bash at his multimillion-dollar home on Martha’s Vineyard had been going on for months—but the spike in virus case numbers has forced a rethink. “Due to the new spread of the Delta variant over the past week, the President and Mrs. Obama have decided to significantly scale back the event to include only family and close friends,” Hannah Hankins, an Obama spokeswoman, said early Wednesday.

Progressive Democratic Rep. Will the Biden administration use federal funds as a club to convince employers to force employees to get vaccinated? The White House is not denying that the plan is under discussion, but they say no final decision has been reached. Forcing companies to do the government’s dirty work on a vaccine mandate is underhanded, but it’s Biden’s only choice if he thinks everyone needs to get vaccinated. A vaccine mandate has no chance of being successful. There’s a question of who will be targeted by the government. Currently, the discussions are about targeting large institutions like senior care centers and universities, but no industry is safe.

Gen. As a Marine Corps officer who served at the tail end of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I saw firsthand the rapid ideological transformation pervading the military in the wake of these disasters in the Middle East.

This is not just scientific madness, it appears to be very intentional and purposeful. The Moderna and Pfizer vaccine tests were conducted, as customary, with a control group; a group within the trial who were given a placebo and not the test vaccine. However, during the trial -and after the untested vaccines were given emergency use authorization- the vaccine companies conducting the trial decided to break protocol and notify the control group they were not vaccinated. Almost all the control group were then given the vaccine. Purposefully dissolving the placebo group violates the scientific purpose to test whether the vaccine has any efficacy; any actual benefit and/or safety issues.

Nearly two dozen Texas House Democrats who fled the state last month have sued Gov. Greg Abbott and other Republican officials, alleging that GOP efforts to bring them back to the state Capitol for a special legislative session infringed on their constitutional rights. The 22 plaintiffs have been "deprived of liberty for substantial periods of time, suffered much anxiety and distress over separation from their families, and much discomfort and embarrassment," the complaint filed late Friday alleges. [snip] The lawsuit also alleges that some of the Democrats were targeted due to race, but did not provide evidence, the Texas Tribune reported.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky has been making the media rounds. During her most recent appearance on CNN, The Conservative Treehouse caught her making a startling admission: The vaccines neither prevent people from catching COVID nor from spreading COVID. At most, they simply reduce the severity of the symptoms people experience if they do catch COVID. From this statement, Sundance draws the logical conclusion: Why should people get vaccine passports if they are both as contagious and as vulnerable to contagion as their unvaccinated cohorts?
