U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, on Wednesday called a bipartisan infrastructure bill a “historic investment” that will “help Utah rebuild its roads, mitigate drought conditions, fulfill critical water needs, and prepare for and respond to wildfires.”
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a nearly $1 trillion investment bill. The Senate voted 67-32 on Wednesday to take the first proceeding step toward debating the bill, which is supported by President Joe Biden.
According to Reuters, the bill is supported by 48 Democrats, two independents and 17 Republicans, including Romney.

Always the first to toot his own horn. I sure hope his afterlife involves riding around in a cage on top of a car somewhere.

You know it's bad if Mitt is out front on something. Can't be good for America, but the deep state wins again.

"Infrastructure" is on my red flag list, when spoken by a politician. Along with "bi-partisan", "green", "smart", and a dozen others. Danger, Will Robinson.

Voting for cloture and voting for this trash are two different things, but I wouldn't expect Roto-Reuters to understand the distinction.
Might I remind this puke that Nasty Nanzi said she won't bring this 'bipartisan' trash up until they get their giant FU bill first, which is going nowhere fast since they can't even get the 50 senators needed for reconciliation.
Roto-Reuters never fails to carry the globalist water, but they always leave out anything that might be contrary to the party line.

Absolutely certain that a taxpayer in, say, Ohio should not be paying taxes to subsidize that which the state of Utah is responsible for.

Good old Pierre is always the first to tell us how great he is. Too bad he way over-hypes himself...and all his meager accomplishments. "Mommie, mommie, pin a rose on me!"

It is historic alright. The damage to the country may be unfixable and burden our children and grandchildren with huge debts for decades. Mitt doesn't care, he is rich.

The people of California who have moved to Utah and polluted its politics are proud of Mittens and his amorphous political and moral positions.

Email or call your Senators especially if they are republicans. The fact is if enough of their voters voice their opposition to the phony infrastructure bill and these gutless, cowardly, traitorous republican Senators realize they may not be re-elected then even they will vote against the bill.
It is very easy to email the Senators. Takes about as much time as to write a post here. Please everyone, email you Senators and tell them to vote No on this attack on our Country.

Utah ranks almost as high in tech firms as Silicon Valley.
So, when Mitt "brings home the bacon" to Utah it means lots of tech liberals/globalists will benefit.
Of course the rest of us will get sidewalks and bike paths eating into our rural country lanes.
What a waste!

If Romney praises the Bill, it has to be a disaster! Like Biden, He's been on the wrong side of every good thing that has happened to America. An American Neville Chamberlain if you will.

Remember when Paul Ryan said to Obama if the debt was over 20 trillion we could never recover as a a nation.?
Now we spend trillions each year. how is that going to work?

Romney, a gutless bozo if I've ever seen one, should be run out of town, any town, on a rail. He is as useless as chop sticks at a soup dinner, If Romney is willing to stand up and tell people what they should do, he is pretty brazen to do so with his track record.

Technically "bipartisan" for having RINO Leftists collaborating with Democrat Leftists. Really just another Socialist porkulus bill. Democrats masquerading as Republicans passing a pork spending bill masquerading as infrastructure funding, uniparty mischaracterized as bipartisan.
Nothing on the up-and-up on this. Bohica.

Utah has three political factions:
1. Culturally conservative population.
2. 70's vintage kepto-Republicans who spout conservative gospel and pass laws bought and paid for by narrow business constituencies
3. A Lefty run and dominated foil of West Berlin called Salt Lake City that rides heard over the State Capital located there on all social and anti-civilization issues. People think that all important state government matters get run past the church. Not so. The Mayor of Salt Lake has de facto veto over all state law issues.

The people of Utah owe the rest of us big time for electing this slimeball to the Senate.
He and the rest of DC are licking their chops at the graft and grift that is coming their way from this.
