The COVID Aftermath and Lessons

Original Article

It is now over a year and a half since we first learned of a new disease that proceeded to spread worldwide and wreak havoc on our civilization. Actually, it wasn't the disease that caused such destruction, but rather the heavy-handed actions by governments across the globe to employ questionable measures they justified as necessary to protect their populations. We can now employ hindsight to see what worked and what didn't and learn what we can. As serious as the disease itself was, in many ways, the responses were far more severe, with longer-lasting consequences. If we do not learn our lessons now,

Comments:

Personally, I will be contacting my state legislators to see what can be done to reign in the power of our worthless governor under this sort of a situation. This should be a goal of all states, but some need it much more than others.

Cont'd OP comment: As far as some states needing more reigning in of the governors, Michigan comes to mind, along with California. Florida seems to be a good model, but perhaps that is just because of the man in charge being sensible, not because they had some 'special sauce' in their laws.

Lesson 1. Entire populations can be controlled by shouting "Pandemic". Economies can be shut down. Supply chains can be disrupted. Millions can lose their jobs. Safe, effective treatments can be withheld resulting in millions of deaths.

"Sad" and "pathetic" are two words that fall far short of characterizing the American people in response to the political, media, and social media fearmongering. "Disheartening" is another word that is inadequate.

Lesson 2. The medical establishment is as corrupt as the leadership. They saw $$$ from Covid just as much as in debt big, blue cities saw federal bailout for decades of corrupt mismanagement of funds.

Given the number of actual deaths FROM covid, which is about 6% of the numbers which have been thrown around and the outrageous response from our local, state and national governments and the hard government push for the “vaccines”, I have come to believe that the entire thing was a complete scam with only one purpose - to get rid of President Trump. Being able to destroy the economy and pass trillion dollar “relief” bills getting more and more people addicted to the government teat is just icing on the cake for the left.

In hindsight it is obvious that COVID was used as a method to (1) bring down Donald Trump, and (2) control the populace. In my opinion, there will be a continued effort to perpetuate the COVID "scare" at least until after the next national election...maybe longer. "Never let a crisis go to waste...)

There is a fifth lesson learned. All levels of governments, both political parties, and the msm should think twice next time before weaponizing a medical crisis for the purpose of destroying a sitting President they don't like and using it to influence an election outcome. Rabid hate of a sitting President together with shutting down the US economy was destructive at best and evil at worst.

It still begs to wonder...WHY this china virus was engineered in the wuhan lab...was it a bio/weapon designed to cause a crashing of the American economy by shutting it down...especially after the wonderful growth WE experienced under President Trump...china was afraid of President Trump and another 4 years ...to them... was unthinkable....so what did they do... I think you all know what I think...and china owes America 10 trillion dollars in reparations for the suffering...that includes ALL Americans...because WE are one nation under God..and WE suffered together....

FTA: A first lesson is that these lockdowns didn't work. Numerous recent studies demonstrate that there was no significant change in the course of the epidemic attributable to a lockdown, and further, lockdowns actually seemed to increase infections and mortality in proportion to the severity of the lockdown. Lockdowns INCREASED covid and its severity. Fresh air, exercise, movement SHOULD have been recommended. Cooping up in a home with other possibly infected people, gaining weight, being sedentary and despondent hurt people.

Let me count the ways. Brought on pandemic style voter fraud by mail in paper ballots with wide open theft. Crash a good economy created by a mean tweeting President whom the left had to be rid of. Produced a style of campaigning by staying at home in a basement then attained 80m record votes. Everything around the government is criminal with lies so why not the medical experts Fauci is a phony fraud also. I learned plenty, trust no one and they better all stay off my lawn you fooled me once but it will not be twice. Take your masks and vaccine and shove it or give my share to the blacks who never followed the rules anyway. Keep your friends close and your toilet paper closer.

Shorter bullet points: 1. Never trust government at any level 2. Trust your own judgement over all others 3. Democrats screw things up way worse than Republicans 4. Never give up the right to protect yourself because nobody else will 5. The only law that means anything is God's law

As summer reaches peak heat, a recent piece in Time magazine on air conditioning exemplifies the rot pervading academia and threatening the nation. Eric Dean Wilson, an instructor and graduate student at City University of New York, wrote about how air conditioning will destroy the planet. His essay demonstrates the confluence of such intellectually fashionable ideas as environmentalist extremism, critical race theory, equity, and the condemnation of capitalism and “white supremacy.” Wilson has no training in climate science or mechanical engineering. Yet he teaches “climate-themed writing and environmental justice” at the City University of New York. Wilson describes his recent book

They found that 94% of the sailors interviewed thought the military branch is facing a leadership and culture crisis. "Unfortunately, the findings of our report aren’t surprising," Crenshaw tweeted. "Ms. Stone-Manning has made false and misleading statements in a sworn statement to the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (Committee) regarding her activities associated with an eco-terrorist cell whose tree spiking in Idaho’s Clearwater National Forest in 1989 put lives at risk," the senators wrote.

When I see an article titled "Over 50% of Liberal, White Women Under 30 Have A Mental Health Issue, Are We Worried Yet?," I'm going to read it. Mostly out of curiosity — is there something to the long-standing joke that liberalism is a mental disorder? Well, turns out, there is. The article, written by Elizabeth Condra in Evie Magazine, focuses on young, white women because that is the magazine's reading demographic. But, upon further investigation of the Pew American Trends Panel: Wave 64 study, it turns out that for white women and men, in every age group, there are more mental health issues for liberals than conservatives.

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency on Thursday also asked the state’s attorney general to pursue legal action against Superior Battery, the property owner, for contaminants released into the air and water as well as for improperly handling waste. The fire that started in Morris around midday Tuesday prompted city officials to order the evacuation of 3,000-4,000 people in some 950 nearby homes, a school, church and small businesses.
