The results of the 2020 census are in, and the Democrats are looking very nervous. It turns out that red states are growing and blue states are shrinking. Red States are gaining three congressional seats while blue states are losing three. In fact, California will lose a seat for the first time ever. Legislative and Electoral College power is shifting in favor of the Republicans.
But the propaganda ministry is trying to convince us that this is all good news (snip) The narrative is that liberals are moving from blue states to red states and will eventually turn them blue.

I made a move myself, but to a red area of California. It is wonderful. There are still huge Trump signs up everywhere. No one wears masks outside, and about half wear them in the stores. Restaurants are open for business with no masks. There are red strong holds in California, but we just are outnumbered and have been shut down by the unfair rigging of elections, where only the "top two" candidates get to run. A total disaster.

I live in small town Florida and I hope he is correct because entire cities are popping up in the I-95 corridor.

NY to TN years ago. Even in the most liberal of states conservatives makeup nearly half the population. It doesn't occur to them that majority of the people leaving for greener pastures are from that half? Com'on Man.

This is what happened in Texas in the late 70's and early 80's. The Rust Belt moved to Texas and we became MORE conservative. In my experience, the folks that move voluntarily are the conservative people while the lefties stay put in their sinking ships.

I live in Colorado and many of my conservative friends are leaving - some to Texas, others to Florida, Arkansas, Arizona and so on. It is getting very lonely here. I'd follow, but I love the climate here and can't bear the thought of living in heat and/or humidity again (I've lived in the south). Things may change, but for now, I'll tough it out in liberal land.

My-sister-the-lib moved from Indiana to New York so she just made a blue state more blue. Good for both states as I'm sure Indiana won't miss her 100% dim votes and NY is a lost cause.

A point to consider: The reason the Democrat propaganda organs promote the belief that migration will turn our red states blue is to prepare the population to accept this idea when they succeed in winning elections in red states using voter fraud. If people don't realize that leftists are really unpopular then they can more easily be manipulated.

Writer forgot to mention the clogged surface streets, mindless high-density housing developments and noise from increased airport traffic in Star and other towns in Ada County, Idaho, that come with this migration

The author of the article is correct. I myself am a political refugee from California to the most conservative county in Northern NV, and so far every Californian I have met that has moved here has been conservative. (Nevada’s DMV is currently processing 8000 California move-ins a month.) They have also invariable been native Californians as well, with a deep love of their former state. They were driven out by politics and policies. Plus, I know so many conservative relatives and neighbors from CA who have moved to other states. I don’t personally know a single liberal who has left. I’m sure some have but the ones I know LIKE how Cali is run!

I hope that this is correct.
I fear that, like in the past, people will move out of disastrous places where they have voted for leftists for years, and aren't happy with the results to 'better places', and continue to vote the same dysfunctional ways, and wreck the 'better places'.

Also, #11, these refugees from California socialism are driving up housing prices in Idaho faster than the locals can keep up. My adult children have been priced out of the market in their hometown.

Red states should have been awarded 6 Congressional seats, but Biden lied about the census numbers, being the ones counting and releasing the numbers. Stalin would have been proud. Texas has major corporations moving in. Tesla, Charles Schwab, Hewlitt Packard, Oracle, and others. That offsets Biden shutting down Texas energy again. It does not offset the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens invading the Texas border. I wonder why we never hear anything about them invading the California border? I think I can guess. The Democrats should be hung for what they have done.

We’re getting the heck out of CA ASAP. I considered ID, around Boise, but air quality is horrendous. Now we’re thinking TX or AZ, close to, but not in, relatively large cities.
Bestplaces.net has information on about any settlement of any size.

Well, his info is wonderful, and it appears that for at least Idaho, the folks moving in are not bringing 'left coast' politics, but are conservatives, seeking a safe and sane place to live.
This is really good news.
