The GOP must die. The Grand Old Party is over and unsalvageable. The name finds its origin in the post-Civil War era as the party that saved the Union, but whatever positive connotations may have come with the GOP moniker are dead and gone now. Today, GOP conjures images of gray hairs at the country club and board meetings at Halliburton, and it seems the only thing it is nterested in saving is the status quo. There was a time when these perceptions could be dismissed as partisan pejoratives, but at some point, Republican Party leadership chose to embrace and embody the characterization.

Let's have another speech by Paul Ryan at the Reagan Library. Methinks the death rattle is not far off. The Republican Establishment does not understand that President Trump showed us how effective a President could be with policies that benefited the ordinary man and woman. p.s. He also loves this country, not like the Establishment, who think an invasion at our southern border is good for business.

I might add that Mike Lee showed he's no friend to American professionals when he promoted, more than once, visas for STEM graduates from countries outside the United States, thereby removing good job opportunities for many well-qualified American citizens. I fear Mike Lee is for Mike Lee.

#2, Mike Lee is also getting big campaign bucks from Big Tech. That is the very reason it protects these scum bags. He is the senator that is always protecting Big Tech while the others are fighting to recall Reg 230. Yes, you are correct, Mike Lee is for Mike Lee.

Good article, and agree w other posters. I’m particularly grateful for other LDotters’ inside scoop on some of these politicians (I.e., Mike Lee).
But I do wish writers would not feel compelled to talk about PDJT and his uncouth ways, ill manners etc. I dare say if the Communists had opposed him on policy rather than on every personal level imaginable, the perception he is “uncouth” would never enter the picture. Writers continue to equate “uncouth” with “fight like hell.” That dog don’t hunt with me. Besides, he’s from Queens.

#5, Thank you! I would take an “uncouth” President Trump (as his enemies call him) over Joe Biden and any democrat every any of the week and twice on Sunday. He is the only President in my lifetime that fought as hard as he did for the country and the American people. He also was a proud patriot and I applaud no respect him for it. It was no act and his policies prove it.
There is a meme making its way around the internet, “I sure could go for a mean tweet and $1.79 gas right now!” No way around it, Donald J. Trump delivered for the American people!

The Establisment RINOs need to form their own party, or be kicked out of the Republican Party.
Where have THEY gotten U.S.? Their unethical quest for power and money OVER the BASE of the party need to end. They are every bit as guilty as the WOKE libtards trying to run our society because THEY DO NOTHING to stop it!!!
Unless we get a Convention of States together, we will never see TERM LIMITS on these people who sit on their lobbyist insider trading tips and GET RICH off of the system. Yertle the Turtle should have been dispatched in the last two Senate elections, but he still survives and DOES NOTHING to fight against this takeover of socialism.
There is no "slippery slope" those RINOs do not do anything unless is benefits THEM, and they have war chests to prevent mere mortals to threaten their seats like they are above the rest of us....
So, Let's run the RINOs OUT of our party! We are not beholden to one person to change this, its going to take all of the conservatives to "Just say NO" to the RINO

PDT is perfectly capable of giving a Lincolnesque speech if required. he deliberately chooses a seventh grade level communication because that is the level bulk of American voters use and identify with. Professional pols of either party and 'Journolists' simply don't understand the man.

I send back all the ''surveys'' and requests for donations from the GOP. I fill out the ''surveys'' and then write ''No money for RINOs'' in the donation area. Then I mail them back, using the pre-paid envelops they kindly enclose!

One thing I will say is, I have been watching House of Cards on Netflix the past few weeks. Geesh! I truly believe most of what that show is about truly happens in Washington. Dirty Politics, Back Stabbing and Everyone for Himself! Some of the Dirty Dealings absolutely do happen in real life Washington! Makes me sick! Both Parties Partake in doing whatever it takes to get them to the TOP! I bet they will even steal an Election before this show comes to it's end. We will see!

I'm weary of criticisms of Republicans and the Republican Party. To effectively fight this war to Save America, we need to focus on enemy identification. The enemy is the Democrat Party and we need to put pressure on them. What do they stand for? Killing babies in the womb, elections by fraud, destruction of Constitutional rights, universal income (with no work requirements), arrming Hamasaki and other terrorists that scream "Death to America!" and "Death to Israel!" and on and on. I'm proud to be a Republican and will do everything that I can to support Republicans for local, state and federal elections. I'm not blindly giving donations to the party, but individuals that have integrity and grit to face the work before us. I guarantee that none of the candidates earning my support will have a (D) after their name.

The vocabulary is completely upside down. The GOP party platform is what has shifted away from consistent fundamental principles of individual liberty, limited government, and an enthusiastic unashamed belief in American exceptionalism. They are the ones who followed the democrats down the path of a transient popular appeal. Does anybody thing that expressing traditional values of hard work, equal opportunity opposed to equal outcome self reliance is popular? Ever hear of cancel culture spawned by political correctness?
No, it has been unpopular as hell to express pride in our founding and dare I suggest the nationalism or putting America First. Turns out America didn't want a popularity contest, we wanted our country and our freedom back and they still haven't figured that out.
Trump represents a return to what had always been the Republican platform, and the rejection of the republican party of today that has hitched its wagon to the rear of the democrat train to socialism promising the popular myth of endless free crap.

Here locally, when a crooked politician wants to get elected he switches to the party most likely to win. Thats what would happen with the rinos. They would all get conservative epiphanies and latch on, only to go back to their old habits later. There should be a lifetime ban, or maybe explosive collars like in "The Running Man". Instant vote of no confidence.

The future of our Country depends on a Constitutional party that is not the GOP. A party that settles for a compromise half-unconstitutional at every turn is nothing more than a party committed to a slower self-destruction.

I'm getting older, my middle seventies, I don't know how many election cycles I have left in me 2024 is far off in my vision.
I can truthfully say in my life time I have never witnessed an American patriot President like President Trump or a magnificent family like his in the White House. I told friends in conversation that we all know that President Trump with his experience since 2016 and the stolen election of 2020 could turn this country around right now in three months or less if he took office. This scares his enemies because they all know it including the hapless RINOs. President Trump is the gold standard for conservatives and there's no denying it.
Leading up to Nov. 3 and days following the final picture was presented of the republicans including judge appointees along with the celebrating RINOs that they never stood with the President, leader of the party, Mike Pence being one of them. Whether a new party happens leaving the republicans (lower case r on purpose) to die on the vine or purge the deadwood in it I'll go with President Trump's lead on the matter.
On a bi-note to the 'uncouth' statement that is false, Joe Biden is uncouth. People and the media don't understand fighting back and being attacked when they do dirty deeds at their leisure. President Trump checked them all not letting lies follow his actions. I'll take uncouth (who set that standard anyway) Adam Schiff? I'll take 'mean tweets' to check the enemies battling us out there. President Trump was the buffer against anti-American evil everyone else be warned.

#10 - I’ve been doing the same thing for quite awhile. Filling out the questionnaires and adding comments and mailing it back, all without a donation.
About a month ago I got a phonecall from the RNC, I told the lady I refuse to give to the R Central Committee, all of my money goes directly The Donald’s re-election organization. Instead of saying “Thank you” and hanging up , she actually tried to start an argument with me. Unbelievable !
Several years ago I filled out the RNC questionnaire and in the space where they ask for credit card number I taped two pennies. Then in red magic marker I wrote “This all I think you are worth.” About a month later I got a very nice letter from the RNC thanking me for my donation. Sometimes I wonder if they bother to actually read the replies.

Enough already with that stupid "the GOP Must Die" childish stuff which the leftist would cheer.
Instead, remove, vote out the RINOs, and the Republican party of old days will be restored.
