35 Republicans Vote to Walk Into a Partisan Buzzsaw

Original Article

The vote in the House over whether to create a “January 6th Commission” has ended. The bill passed, which is expected given who runs the chamber. What wasn’t as expected (or perhaps it was?) is that 35 Republicans joined hands with their Democrat colleagues, agreeing to walk headlong into a partisan buzzsaw. This per The Daily Caller. The House of Representatives passed a bill Wednesday that would create a bipartisan, 9/11-style commission into the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, with dozens of Republicans joining Democrats in a rebuke of GOP leadership. The bill passed 252 to 175 with support from 35 Republicans, even though top GOP leaders opposed it and

I am so happy I am an independent MAGA Patriot. I really don’t know how you Republicans sleep at night. GOP- Gutless Old Pathetic Fighting the New war the same way you fought the last war is why we lost in 2020. And even when you win with Republicans you still lose. Why? Because they are Gutless, Old and Pathetic. We should have formed a new party when we had the momentum. Now you have nothing left in your arsenal but Fox News and some bs plan to primary Rinos. Good luck with that!

Anyone who would agree to join the democrats in any endeavor has shown his/her true colors. The democrats will run the show and use these fools as a means to call this farce bi-partisan. Democrats want to label this an “insurrection” and these pathetic republicans will help make that happen. You can have no legitimate inquiry when democrat participate. They are not honest participants but are a group of determined liars who have an agenda and that is to rewrite what actually happened and blame President Trump for it all. The lack of courage in the Republican Party is why we are in the shape we are today. Democrats have stolen the election and placed radicals in positions that are key to pushing their radical agenda forward. The suffering is just beginning for the American people and these 35 turncoats continue to aid and abet this lawless illegitimate administration and no doubt feel good about their vote on this sham. Democrats fear one thing, Donald J. Trump, and bRepublicans just handed them another weapon to use against him. If they cannot see that the country flourished under President Trump’s leadership, they are lying to themselves. To willingly aid and abet the party that is actively destroying in every way the country we love is treason. Let’s call it what it is.

The RINOs need to get the hell out of the GOP and form their own party. They got to Tony Gonzales right away, only months after being sworn in. Time for his primary opponent to re-egage. Most of the people voted against President Trump when there was really no evidence to impeach him because people's feelings were hurt and there was no real evidence

McCarthy has zero control of his conference, yet wants to be Speaker. We cannot primary these people for another year. This treason needs to be addressed now, by stripping all of them of any responsibilities in the Republican Party, censuring them, and stripping any party funding from them. They should not be allowed to use the name Republican on any of their correspondence, web pages, or in any other way. The Republican Party is so weak they cannot even adopt a terms of service. Probably because the Party has no lawyers. The Republican Party needs to be audited. They collect hundreds of millions, and we see nothing for any of it.

This Vote should be the END of their careers in Congress. Thanks to #4 we now have NAMES. We need to get busy and Primary each and every one of them. If they don't already have someone running against them, we need to find a REAL Republican to step up. We need to FUND them. We need Trump to hold a Rally for that Candidate. We have time to do all of this. There won't be any point to winning the House in 2022 if we leave these Turncoats in Office! Liz found out we mean business and now we need to prove it by firing each and every one of those who haven't yet figured out the Democrats are using them! I feel a knife in my back again. Damn backstabbing Republicans. Don't doubt for a second these Republicans are really big government Democrats. What does a Democrat do if they want to run for office in a heavily Republican district? They run as a Republican, and tailor their message accordingly. Nevermind their message isn't a reflection of how they would actually govern. Then they hope Republicans will blindly vote along party lines, ignore their voting records, and keep them in office. We need them for a Republican majority we are constantly told. They really need to be given the bum's rush. One thought I've had is Republicans need to approach those Democrats that are dissatisfied with the hard left turn their party has taken, and persuade them to vote Republican. That becomes impossible to do when the Republican candidate is nothing more than a lighter shade of Democrat. You cannot make a persuasive argument to get that Democrat to change their vote to Republican when both candidates are largely the same.

I may get blasted but here is my opinion. Don't we want the election audited? Aren't we getting frustrated that the Democrats are trying to put up roadblocks? I don't want to be a hypocrite - let me be clear with that fact. I really think there should be an investigation into what took place on January 6 especially after seeing the video where the police were letting the protestors in. It is my understanding the Republicans wanted more police coverage on that day but were turned down. The truth always reveals itself and maybe it will surface during this investigation.

These Republicans need to be replaced. All were reached with a cash deposit and fake promises. Money talks. This makes McCarthy look like a horse's behind. This is the why Pelosi is the Speaker. She keeps her people on a short leash. Many Republican Representatives (not all) are stupid, but most Democrats are brainless vessels. You rarely hear them break rank and oppose an issue, or go against the grain. They are programed to the party line and march in locked step for doing so. For that Pelosi will give each of them their treat, like you would with when training an pet. (I was going to say dog, however as a dog lover I couldn't put dog and Pelosi in the same sentence.)

I've no problem with such a commission, so long as Republicans are on it. Doing so might allow some questions to be asked in public, such as, "How can the riot have started before Trump's speech was over? What kind of Trump-fans, having a rare chance to hear him in person, leave a speech by their President before it's over?" and "Also, how quickly can the crowd of attendees cover that distance of over a mile at a brisk walk?" and "What kind of Republican hits a policeman with a flag???"

And now the pubbies cave again agreeing to this commission scam. What are the odds that David Bailey, the black capitol police guy who killed Ashli Babbitt will be identified by the commission and referred for prosecution? Zero. Next up? The NY deep state gestapo and Herr Veissmann prepare to indict President Trump for something one week ahead of his June MAGA rallies. But to see Miller-Meeks there, voting with the party that wanted to oust her from her Congressional seat AFTER she was already seated was a bridge too far for me. You could get an idea of what went on by watching TV. It actually started at the Capitol while Trump was still talking. It's obvious the Cap Cops were unprepared for the people. You saw them them opening doors for the protesters, and then mostly just following them around. I didn't see much destruction, but I guess there was some. It looked like most of the people inside were walking around like tourists. Some took some license to sit in some of the politicians seats (Heaven Forbid!). What I don't know about it is..... why the Cops were unprepared? Was it because Trump supporters were know to be polite and not trouble makers? We haven't been told if antifa or BLM were in the crowd. Why not? We haven't been told who shot Ashli Babbitt. Why? A definition of insurrection is a 'violent overthrow of a government.' This was no insurrection, by any stretch. The stupid dems always overplay their hand.

The dems know how to win now - they just stole an election. Until someone can control the voting methods, the dems will win along with the RINOs. That makes them bipartisan. Now I can see why societies last about 250 yrs - corruption. Look at Hunter with his kickbacks to "the big guy". As corrupt as one can get yet they're still looking into President Trump. That corruption is just the tip of the iceberg. I have absolutely no respect for our gov't at this time his history - throw in the FBI, CIA and IRS also.

Voting machines in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, caused concern this week when registered Republicans and independent voters were seeing Democrat-labeled ballots on primary day. Eyewitness News reported Tuesday that they had “received numerous calls from concerned citizens reporting issues with voting machines improperly labeling Republican ballots as Democrat.” “Because it’s a primary, Democrats and Republicans or independent non-partisans, have a different ballot,” explained Carl Romanelli, a judge with Luzerne County Board of Elections. “When you got into the ballot marking devices, the header on all of the ballots indicates that it’s a Democratic ballot,

There’s a new survey out about 2024, and it has great news for President Donald Trump. Even after being shut down on social media and having his primary avenue of communication — Twitter — cut off, turns out the Republican base still wants Trump to run for president again. According to a new McLaughlin & Associates survey, 73% of the base wants Trump to run again in 2024. Even more would vote for him if he did run, with 83% saying they would do so. Those are some pretty big numbers, and it’s clear that it means the base hasn’t moved on from Trump.

Dishonesty and hypocrisy surrounding Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s (D) secret “personal” trip to Florida are threatening the one-time rising star’s political future. Like other Democrat governors, Whitmer opted to impose harsh restrictions in an attempt to deal with the coronavirus in 2020. After a spike in cases towards the end of the year, she reimposed many orders through her Department of Health and Human Services after her executive orders were ruled unconstitutional in October. In early April 2021, as coronavirus variants were growing around the country, Whitmer warned Michiganders not to go to Florida for spring break.

Sabato’s Crystal Ball is a political website created by the UVA Center for Politics which, as the name implies, offers election predictions. Today the site published an analysis of the 2022 election which predicts Democrats are facing an uphill battle next year even before you consider the impact of reapportionment and redistricting. On balance, we expect the reapportionment of House seats — which we analyzed late last month — to benefit Republicans to a small extent. Redistricting seems likely to also help Republicans. Given that the Democrats only won a 222-213 edge in the House last year, Republicans only need to net five seats to win the House.

Since its publication in 2019, the 1619 Project has been highly controversial. It is seen as a re-writing of history by its critics. The work has been discredited by many historians and experts, with some calling for factual corrections. It should not be a surprise that her controversy followed Hannah-Jones to UNC. Cases are down, herd immunity has more or less arrived, and even in deep-blue Boston, Stop & Shop has announced it will end mask requirements before the month’s out. The pandemic saw a huge amount of power and money transferred to what Michael Lind calls the “overclass” of politicians, corporate managers and bureaucrats. Small businesses shut down while big-box stores deemed “essential” remained open. The laptop class worked from home — to the delight of many of its members — while the working class brought them stuff.

Israel had a relatively quiet night on Wednesday without rocket sirens since about 1 am until Thursday morning. A senior Hamas official told CNN on Wednesday night that he expects a ceasefire agreement to be reached within the next couple of days, Israeli media reported. "I think ceasefire mediation will work,” deputy head of the Hamas political branch Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook said. “The equation was clear

The iconic American suburban neighborhoods that attract families looking for safe and prosperous areas have been targeted in recent years – first from those who believe zoning is a racist tactic to keep certain people out of the neighborhoods. And now a report from the left-leaning Brooking Institute is claiming that the “unsustainable” nature of the suburbs means they must be transformed in the name of preventing climate change. The Brooking Institute report touts President Joe Biden’s “ambitious and necessary” goal to reduce greenhouse gas emission to 50 percent of the amount emitted in 2005 by 2030, with even bigger reductions by 2050. Democrats were trying to push through the vote on a “Jan. 6 Commission” today in the House. They succeeded, with 35 Republicans crossing over to vote in favor of it, not seeming to care that it’s going to be a “bash Republicans” effort, rather than any sort of real investigation. There are already multiple investigations going on, so there wasn’t any need for an additional. This is simply an opportunity for Democrats to bash Republicans. How do we know how biased this will be? Because we can already see how slimy Democrats are being about it. Right before the vote on the Commission,

At the “Big Screen is Back” initiative on Wednesday, Arnold Schwarzenegger and J.J. Abrams joined fellow filmmakers and Hollywood studio executives in an effort to motivate a return to the theater-going lifestyle. As reported by The Associated Press, the event was socially distanced and held at AMC Century City 15 theater in Los Angeles. Before speaking, Schwarzenegger chanted, “We are back! We are back!” He described the importance of getting movie theaters back into commission and creating the experience of attending a movie in theaters once again. “Now it’s time to get back to the big screen,” Schwarzenegger told the audience.

Democrats have been flogging the image of Kamala Harris for more than six months, trying to show Americans why she should be popular, and the public isn’t buying it.The efforts and the expectations of success by Democrats say a lot about the party and their myopic view of the voters, which has cost them dearly during the last three national elections. A party that tells most voters they’re “racist” and says those same ordinary people must be cleansed of their “systemic racism” and delusions of “white supremacy” shouldn’t have to wonder why people don’t like them very much. But the Democrats keep doubling down — as they did with Harris.

President Biden promised to help Palestinians who lost their homes during 11 days of Israeli strikes on Gaza as he offered prayers Friday for a ceasefire to hold. During a press conference to mark the visit of South Korean President Moon Jae-in, he insisted he remained committed to Israeli security. But he struck a careful balance between both sides as he announced plans to help Palestinians in Gaza rebuild their lives so long as Hamas militants, who rained rockets on Israel, were not able to rebuild their armaments. 'I am prepared to put together, and am going to attempt to put together, a major package

Washington—President Joe Biden will host George Floyd’s family at the White House Tuesday to mark the first anniversary of his death at the hands of a white Minneapolis police officer, White House officials confirmed Friday evening. Earlier in the day, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the president would mark the anniversary of Floyd’s death, but offered no further details on his plans.(Snip) Biden's plans to host Floyd's family come, however, as talks focused on the police reform bill named after Floyd—the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act—have stalled on Capitol Hill. A critical race studies and ethnic studies professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder says Americans wondering why Black citizens commit anti-Asian hate crimes have an answer: “White supremacy.” The educational watchdog Campus Reform spotlighted the commentary of Jennifer Ho, which preceded President Biden’s newly signed legislation aimed at combatting hate crimes against Asian Americans. “Anti-Asian racism has the same source as anti-Black racism: White supremacy,” Ms. Ho wrote for The Conversation. “So when a Black person attacks an Asian person, the encounter is fueled perhaps by racism, but very specifically by White supremacy. White supremacy does not require a White person to perpetuate it.”

Hollywood actresses have been speaking up about how they really feel about performing on-screen sex and nudity. Spoiler alert: They hate it. Actress Salma Hayek recently opened up to Dax Shepard, host of the Armchair Expert Podcast, about her experience filming the iconic sex scene in her first film Desperado: “I started to sob and kept saying, ‘I don’t know that I can do it.’” She remembers holding onto the towel wrapped around her. “I would take it off for two seconds and start crying again.” And Hayek is not the only one. Dozens of actresses have gone on record detailing traumatic experiences they had while filming sex scenes.

Oregon has gone from a liberal hell hole to 1930s Germany overnight. The Oregon Health Authority is now requiring businesses and religious institutions to enforce mask mandates by forcing people to show proof of vaccination. The CDC last week updated its mask guidance and said fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks indoors. In order to prevent the unvaccinated from walking around unmasked, Oregon health officials are now creating a caste system by marking the unvaxxed lepers. “Businesses, employers and faith institutions now have the option to adjust their masking guidance to allow fully vaccinated individuals to no longer wear a mask in their establishments,” OHA’s website said.

It seems like a crazy urban legend: In China, drivers who have injured pedestrians will sometimes then try to kill them. And yet not only is it true, but it’s also fairly common; security cameras have regularly captured drivers driving back and forth on top of victims to make sure that they are dead. The Chinese language even has an adage for the phenomenon: “It is better to hit to kill than to hit and injure.” In contrast in our country, BLM regularly blocks roads and in most situations, the drivers are the ones that took the hit.

The two jail employees tasked with guarding pedophile Jeffrey Epstein the night of his suicide in a Manhattan jail have admitted to falsifying records—but will skirt time behind bars under a deal with prosecutors. Tova Noel and Michael Thomas admitted that they “willfully and knowingly” lied on forms stating that they’d made the required rounds checking on inmates the night of Epstein’s August 2019 suicide. Prosecutors said the guards were sleeping and surfing the web when they should have been monitoring the maximum security federal prisoner, who had recently been on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.(Snip) Instead, the disgraced duo will

CNN host Don Lemon slammed the Republican party on CNN Friday, saying that they are not “operating in reality” and are “obsolete.”“Well, right now, the person who is in the White House is a Democrat,” Lemon said. “The people who are in charge of Congress are Democrats. The people who are in the majority, slightly, in the Senate, are Democrats. The only party, now, that is operating in reality, is the Democratic party.” “The Republican party is obsolete,” he continued. “The Republican party is not dealing and living in reality. So, you cannot negotiate with a party that doesn’t operate on logic.”
