The iconic American suburban neighborhoods that attract families looking for safe and prosperous areas have been targeted in recent years – first from those who believe zoning is a racist tactic to keep certain people out of the neighborhoods.
And now a report from the left-leaning Brooking Institute is claiming that the “unsustainable” nature of the suburbs means they must be transformed in the name of preventing climate change.
The Brooking Institute report touts President Joe Biden’s “ambitious and necessary” goal to reduce greenhouse gas emission to 50 percent of the amount emitted in 2005 by 2030, with even bigger reductions by 2050.

Utter balderdash. They don't care about carbon emissions. They just want everyone to be equally miserable.
As long as I can live in the suburbs, away from hood rats, I will be content. I hope to have a home in the country some day, to provide even more distance between me and liberals/thugs/criminals.

Carbon dioxide from human activities constitutes approximately 4% of the carbon dioxide which enters the atmosphere each year. If ALL human caused CO2 ceased immediately, nothing would significantly change.
And, CO2 is a good thing. Green plants are stunted in their growth by the shortage of CO2 in the atmosphere. This is proven by tests in greenhouses where added CO2 causes extra growth. More CO2 means MORE growth of trees, grasses, crops and other wonderful things.
Screw these lunatics. Man is putting damned little CO2 into the atmosphere, and what we are doing is GOOD for the planet.

They want us all to be jammed together in Public Housing, like their subjects on the demoncrat plantations, so that we can be more easily controlled. Suburbs have been going pretty sustainably for many decades. It's the inner cities that don't seem to be very sustainable. The residents keep burning them down. All that smoke from burning cities and burning forests can't be good for the environment, but liberals seem to like it.

Dropping some of that "low income housing" into all of the favorite suburbs should cure that, right? It will prompt normal law-abiding folks to move elsewhere but that's about it.
If they want America to regress to the green life of the jungle that's the way to do it.

Isnt a nice, high priced, low density suburban neighborhood with high quality energy efficient homes ( build, windows heating, cooling, insulation, high quality materials) with lots of green space and trees; even with commuting, better than jam packed high density, lots of people, high heat producing, lots of vehicles, traffic, packed together , with little green space? Which do you think has better air quality, better quality of life, and better safety? Suburbia isn't causing climate change. It help to slow it. Stop trying to make everyone live miserable lives.

We need to start “sustainable” neighborhoods in places like Kalorama, Georgetown, Atherton, Martha’s Vineyard, etc.
Our “betters” need to show the unwashed the way.....

I live in a suburb. It's quite multicultural. All of us saved and bought our homes. We have people who are black, white, from Mexico, Bosnia, Burma and quite a few other countries. We get along quite well and the immigrants in particular are so happy to be here where they have opportunities. I know that they (and I) would be utterly miserable packed into dense urban housing.

America, the country with the highest living standards in the world, and the Marxist Communists democrats, republicrats GOPe are working feverishly to destroy America from within.
The circle is now being completed. From freedom to slavery, from slavery to freedom, now working fast back to slavery.

Put simply, if the would-be tyrants can concentrate the population within a relatively small geographical area, they will be much easier to control and/or exterminate. This isn’t the first time this has been tried. Throughout history, it has been EVERY tyrant’s wet dream.

America isn't contributing to climate change. Over carbon emissions are way lower than China, India and Mexico for opener. .Leave us alone or Jan6th will look like a picnic.

Define climate change. What change has there been? Is there proof that man has caused this so called climate change? I turned off the Weather Channel yesterday when they went right to man made climate change caused such and such. I didn't even stick around to hear the rest of their claim.

The 'not in my backyard' crew just keep getting more ridiculous every day. These green weenies just stop short of declaring the death and killing of mankind altogether. There's no way the 'burbs' are adding to the climate no more than a black man in the hood smoking a Salem cigarette. The left marches on with their North Star, Joe Biden, leading the way to the destruction of our nation.
I'm going to remind everyone that the gasoline shortage is just a preview of the misery and panic yet to come. Wait until winter gets here. Biden took bold steps with his 'green deal' and had to walk it back during the pipeline problem but what other energy sources has he shut down or slowed production. Did Biden shut down coal or natural gas? If Biden did the winter might be his bridge too far when it strikes and people die from the cold. Think about Texas last winter, that could happen on a national basis. The morons in charge in Washington don't plan they are winging it with leader North Star, Biden. So far the crash test dummy Joe Biden had his thrill riding in a Ford electric truck his dream for the future. Don't buy into contributing to destruction of the planet because of where you live this is silly dumb thinking by the Brookings Insane Asylum.

Yes, suburbs and ex-burbs contribute to change of temperature readings. Reason it that the instruments that measure temperature have not moved. Fifty years ago the sensors were in empty undeveloped areas. Now the same sensors are surrounded by concrete and structures. Move the instruments to an area similar to that of fifty years ago and they will record the same readings. It's called sample bias. Any good engineer or scientist should know enough to minimize local environmental influences. There is no political will to collect accurate meaningful measurements. Data is corrupt.

Sure allowing unlimited millions of poor, uneducated, unskilled, and socialist minded foreigners from all over the world into the USA in a totally uncontrolled fashion is bound to fix all that!
