“I’ve been in solitary confinement for a hundred days now and haven’t been convicted of any crime with no end in sight.”
That was part of a lengthy message Jacob Lang sent to his father, Ned, the last week of April. Jacob was arrested on January 16 in New York and charged with several crimes related to his activity in Washington, D.C. on January 6. Lang, who turned 25 while incarcerated, is accused of assaulting police officers using a dangerous or deadly weapon. The government’s evidence against him appears to be strong. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
But Lang and dozens of January 6 defendants already have been convicted

A sample - there’s more in the article:
Prison guards “instill fear” in the detainees, Metcalf said. Ryan Samsel, behind bars since January, allegedly was beaten by prison guards who handcuffed him with zip ties. “He has definitely suffered serious injuries, including a shattered orbital floor, a broken orbital bone, his jaw was broken, his nose was broken,” his lawyer said in an interview last month. Samsel, she said, is currently unable to see out of his right eye and may permanently lose his vision.
Further, those held in the D.C. jail cannot participate in their own defense, a clear violation of basic constitutional protections.

I have a problem with Trump on this political persecution , instead of running his mouth about the fraud election (which we are well aware of ) he should be raising hell about these prisoners !

The National Geographic Channel every so often plays those specials about the Russian prisons in the frozen north of Siberia, There were a couple of episodes and this sounds like one of those prisons.

It's all retaliatory. They don't have anything on the accused but they're being made examples. Didn't video just emerge showing Capitol police actually allowing and inviting protesters into the Capitol?

#4 Video didn't have to emerge showing the police opening the doors. I saw it with my own eyes on January 6 and I also so the capitol police removing the barricades for the ones wearing the back packs and helmets. We know who they were, don't we. We don't need 12,000 hours of video or whatever it is they have. PDJT should be shouting from the rooftops to get these people free until there is conviction. Guilty until proven innocent isn't is not in our constitution. Where are the elected on this, too.

Where is the ACLU? The man is entitled to a trial of his peers and a speedy one.

How can they get away with violating not only habeas corpus, but the freaking 14th amendment? How is any of this legal?

It wasn't too many years ago that I truly believed that patriotic Americans would never let things like this, and many more outrages of the far left, stand but it seems that nowadays only the Marxists, professional race hustlers, and career anarchists of the hard left have the gumption to challenge/attack the system they find so repulsive, even when the system is not violating any aspect of our Constitution. I hope and pray that one day, we don't look back and realize that we as a people, were more cowardly or complacent than the German citizens leading up to and during WWII.

Let's face it. The DC Circuit Courts make the worst hanging judge in the old west look like John Marshall. A kanagroo court would be embarassed to be compared to those judicial hacks.
The deep state, Biden regime and their media whores don't care about the Constitution or the rule of law (unless is is their law). What they got away with during the Obama Regime, continued through to undermine the Trump Presidency, and now continues to this day is the true insurrection.
See you at the re-education camps.

It's a universal rule of evidence in these United States that if a portion of a recording is used as evidence, the defense is entitled to the full recording to determine if the portion presented presents a distorted picture of what actually happened.

When the lefties know or start to realize that they do not have a watertight legal case they turn to making the legal process itself the punishment. One way or another they will exract their pound of flesh. Another aspect of what is called "Lawfare"
