Today is one hell of a hump day already: New government figures show that the Biden administration is getting it wrong on the border, getting it wrong on the economy and job creation, and getting it wrong on inflation. I told you, back on April 19, that this month’s immigration numbers were going to be high, and represent a blinking red light. On May 4, I reminded Jen Rubin that no, nothing “happened” to the border crisis, the media just stopped discussing it. On Monday, I pointed out that the federal government’s official statistics were undermining Biden’s argument that what Americans were seeing on

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., criticized President Biden over his Wednesday statement of support for Israel amid escalating violence with Hamas, claiming he gave little context for what stoked the tensions and was consequently "siding with occupation."
Biden told reporters Israel has a right to defend itself "when you have thousands of rockets flying into your territory."
Ocasio-Cortez tweeted that Biden had failed to mention the pending evictions of dozens of Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem in favor of Israelis and the Israeli police raid of the Al-Aqsa mosque that left hundreds of worshippers hurt as an instigator to Hamas’ rocket attacks.

A group of more than 120 retired military officers have written President Joe Biden to tell him his election was less than legitimate – while questioning his mental acuity.
The letter echoes former President Donald Trump's claims of widespread election fraud – which have not been borne out in the courts – and comes on a day when Rep. Liz Cheney ripped Trump for his claim that the election was 'stolen.' 'Without fair and honest elections that accurately reflect the 'will of the people' our Constitutional Republic is lost,' the letter from retired officers says.

"Wonder Woman" actress Gal Gadot's attempt to post a unifying message on Twitter amidst the ongoing violence in the Middle East backfired as critics instead assailed the actress for her experience fighting in the Israeli Defense Forces when she was younger and accused her of being a "propaganda" tool for the Israeli military. The Palestinian militant group Hamas launched rockets into Israel this week, targeting Jerusalem, southern Israel, and Tel Aviv. Israel responded by launching a series of airstrikes, killing a top Hamas commander and several other senior Hamas militants.

Israel has been using its Iron Dome missile defense system for a decade — but never so much as in the past few days. DW takes a look at how it works. Videos showing the effectiveness of Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system against rockets from Gaza have been posted and watched hundreds of thousands of times on the internet. They show dozens of glowing bullets whirring through the air against the black night sky and lighting up brightly against a backdrop of sirens and explosions. An Iron Dome battery consists of a radar unit and a control center that can detect projectiles soon after their launch

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, fired back at far-left host Joy Reid's latest racially charged attack, wondering Wednesday why MSNBC allowed her to get away with it and saying her "condescension" was leading Hispanics to leave the Democrats. Reid assailed Cruz and compared him to Stephen, the traitorous house slave in the 2012 movie "Django Unchained," for opposing the Democratic voting overhaul known as the For The People Act. Cruz, mirroring language by President Biden about Georgia's Republican voting law, angered Democrats after he called it "Jim Crow 2.0." "I appreciate MSNBC lecturing me on how people of 'my race' are supposed to vote. This arrogant condescension

House Republicans voted early Wednesday to remove GOP Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney from her place in the party leadership. The vote marks the final development in Cheney's estrangement from her GOP colleagues. The conflict began on Jan. 13, when Cheney, along with nine other House Republicans, voted to impeach President Donald Trump on a charge of inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. (In 2019, in the first Trump impeachment, Cheney voted no on both articles against the president.) Cheney's attention-getting posture in January — she put out a press release announcing her intention the day before, irritating some Republicans — prompted complaints

Memo to President Biden: Life moves pretty fast, and now the world is on fire. Israel is erupting, Americans are utterly confused when masks should be worn for COVID-19 protection and then there are the agita-inducing long lines for gasoline. And that was just Tuesday. A lot has changed in a matter of days. Friday was supposed to be a glorious day for Biden. The latest employment numbers were set to be released, and economists were gushing that a million new jobs had likely been created in April by exuberant employers and their newly vaccinated workers. His team no doubt was prepared to unleash Biden CORRECTION*

A pair of North Carolina Republicans are introducing a bill on Wednesday to prevent federal funding from going to a recent Department of Education proposal or any other proposal aimed at teaching critical race theory in schools.
Freshman Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C., and House Education and Labor Committee ranking member Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., are planning to introduce the Protecting Equality and Civics Education (PEACE) Act on Wednesday, Fox News has learned.
The PEACE Act amends the Consolidated Appropriations Act to prohibit federal funds from going to programs that push for critical race theory in schools.

The head of the Vatican’s doctrine office is warning U.S. bishops to deliberate carefully and minimize divisions before proceeding with a possible plan to rebuke Roman Catholic politicians such as President Joe Biden for receiving Communion even though they support abortion rights.
The strong words of caution came in a letter from Cardinal Luis Ladaria, prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, addressed to Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. The USCCB will convene for a national meeting June 16, with plans to vote on drafting a document on the Communion issue.

A stunning New York Times report claims that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's estimate that the risk of coronavirus transmission while outdoors is around 10% is greatly exaggerated.
The CDC has cited the estimate to back up its recommendation that vaccinated individuals do away with masks in certain outdoor situations, but should keep wearing masks during others.
According to the Times, the 10% benchmark is based "partly on a misclassification" of some virus transmission in Singapore at various construction sites that may have actually taken place in indoor settings.

Left-wing cable news network MSNBC came under fire Thursday following a perplexing segment on Joy Reid's show centered around "poop" jokes and attacking Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y.
Reid, the left-wing host well known for criticizing Republicans, was seemingly amused when former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, now a political analyst for MSNBC, resorted to using defecation references to attack Stefanik, the Republican Party, and former President Donald Trump.
The segment began with Reid going on a profanity laced rant against Stefanik, calling her statements on election fraud in the 2020 election "bulls**t,"
