As jurors begin the process of cashing in on fame and fortune, one of the twelve tasked with interpreting three weeks of intricate, conflicting evidence – a process that would determine a man’s freedom or incarceration – claimed that the verdicts could have come back in about twenty minutes. The only holdup was helping a single jurist (who is praying their identity isn’t revealed) decipher one aspect of jury instructions.

OP, yes. If one INFORMS one's self, it is entirely unreasonable to do what you state as reasonable.
I would suggest that you educate yourself on the facts of the case. Uninformed, misinformed and disinformed is a sad way to go through life.
I agree that the case was a travesty. But it is clear that the officers did absolutely nothing which hastened Floyd's death, which was 100% caused by his massive drug overdose triggering his pre-existing heart problems. And, frankly, even without the heart attack, Floyd was unlikely to survive his taking a dose of fentanyl which was triple the normally fatal dose.

I will agree with the poster that Chauvin did something wrong if it can be shown that the Minneapolis Police Manual did not have the steps documented. I will also agree with poster if the public heard wrong that Derek Chauvin's foot was really on his shoulder and not his neck.
I am also sympathetic because if you read the transcript, George Floyd admitted to the police that he had Covid. Question - would you have been able to get close?

I hope the Republican politicians can quit crowing now about how the ‘system worked’.

There was one juror that said no when the judge asked each juror if they agreed with the verdict.

Generally good article; however, a jurist is an expert in law, most often a judge, not a person who serves on a jury.

Many years ago, in response to a caller’s point of view about democracy, Rush Limbaugh made clear that what exists in these United States of America is not a democracy; that “democracy is mob rule at its bare minimum” and the USA is a republic—a representative republic. Rush went on to explain that “our federal system with the checks and balances was to keep power out of the hands of the mob.” At this point in time, many patriotic individuals are of the opinion that mob rule now rules the USA. With that perspective, the trial of Officer Derek Chauvin and the other three officers may be at risk of mob rule rather than the true justice.
#1,#2~ A still photograph shows that Officer Derek Chauvin’s knee was not on George Floyd’s neck, it was behind George Floyd’s shoulder and neck. Police Chief Arradondo agreed with Officer Chauvin’s attorney that Officer Chauvin’s knee appears to be on George Floyd’s neck in the bystander video, but his knee appears to be on George Floyd’s shoulder blade in the body-cam video.

I'd call it more of a 'railroading' than a farce.

It's not unreasonable to argue that what Chauvin did was wrong, and perhaps even criminal. It is unreasonable to claim that his trial was fair. It wasn't. It was a sham.
