Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg suggested in a recent interview that racism is built into the country's highway system. “There is racism physically built into some of our highways, and that’s why the jobs plan has specifically committed to reconnect some of the communities that were divided by these dollars,” the former South Bend, Indiana, mayor told reporter April Ryan this week in an interview discussing President Joe Biden’s proposed $2 trillion infrastructure plan. Buttigieg explained that several major highways in the United States negatively affect minority communities. “Well, if you’re in Washington, I’m told that the history of that highway

When you divide people by race, gender and sexuality among other categories, you tend to end up with the same outlook as Pete Buttigieg. Divide and judge - this is the basis of liberalism.

Everybody point and laugh at Alfred. E. Neuman. What a tone-deaf, out-of-touch, clueless boob he is.
South Bend, Indiana.... how did that work out? Tell us, Alfred.

What absolute rubbish. The statement is completely meaningless. Just because the woke culture sees racism everywhere doesn't mean it actually exists. Guess this is what woke government looks like, but it has nothing to do with actual governing. These people are using the government as a platform for their social activism.

Homophobia is built into highway rest stops too, to the point where Mayor Boy and his ilk rely on apps to share which toilets are safe to cruise. USA still has a ways to go!

A personally and professionally— politically— corrupt man, who has used his intelligence and ambition, personally, purely for ego gratification, and politically and professionally to accrue influence, and— probably— pay.
The Democrats are nothing but a criminal cabal masquerading as public servants— since the time of Aaron Burr, through the Dixiecrats, and on into the Marxism of the present.
The best of them are deluded by a false promise of Utopia, and ignorant of history and economics, and the worst of them simply amoral opportunists.
The American experiment can only be corrupted from within. And a godless, silly and morality-free electorate cannot keep a Republic.
Mayor— now Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (his experience in, ‘transportation,’ is the equivalent of Hunter Biden’s in the Ukrainian energy patch). ...Having his bicycle offloaded.
That’s a metaphor for something but I’m not sure exactly what.

The word "racist" is quickly losing it's sting.
When you start calling everything and everybody "racist", then pretty soon it means nothing.

I would be in favor of constructing a modern, six lane, one-way highway to Africa. Yes, minorities get front-of-line privileges (as usual).

Highways are racist? By this criteria, every thing and every one is racist. The Democrats have so over used and abused this word that it has near lost all meaning. Democrats use it to discredit and slander anybody that disagrees with them no matter how ridicules it is. In today's world Martin Luther King would be a racist for say you should "judge a person by the quality of their character, not the color of their skin." White guilt turns this upside down.

White guilt is the worse thing to ever happen. This is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. No wonder BLM is on fast track to 'black supremacy' thanks to a dumb white like Buttigieg.

Aren't we lucky to have Pete Buttegg? No one could have imagined this possibility, even if thinking of the worst that could happen. This JA stopped the expansion of interstate 45 that connects Houston to Dallas. Said it was racist.

In Detroit, the confluence of several major highways (which looks like spaghetti randomly dropped from a height when viewed on a map) wiped out or bisected a barrio... Mexican town. Earlier, to open up an area for a GM plant (that never got built) Detroit destroyed Pole Town. Razed whole neighborhoods. Old story. And... color blind.

And who has been controlling the cities where highways 'bypassed' minorities? It was largely liberals who bulldozed entire neighborhoods and ushered black residents into towering housing projects. Was easier to harvest their votes that way.
