With the turbulence of our current politics, it should come as no surprise that many Christians are looking for such height when it comes to political issues. Unfortunately, many are finding themselves in cul-de-sacs of confusion. The most recent evidence is the debate sparked over so-called "Christian nationalism," which, from the perspective of evangelical elites, is the bane of all Christian witness in the public square.

NO, and it should be CELIBRATED! The left with their underlying guilt have to put down and relegate the Christians non citizen status to justify their own malfeasance and shortcoming before God who they well know they will have to answer to at some appointed time. Christian Nationalism is the only reason we even have a Country.

Some people deny the existance of Gd because they want to pretend that they are a god.
Their post-life party will not be pretty.

Nope, and if someone accused me of it, I'd say that right back. Yep, and proud of being Christian, and proud of supporting my country.
Of course, when your country has been taken over by leftist criminals in a stolen election....you have to separate the country from the thugs who are corruptly in charge at the moment.

This article was wonderful, and more surprisingly because it is from Newsweek! Could it be that even some liberals are waking up to what a Godless, atheistic country would look like?

The term has been manufacturedt to defame and undermine. Like much of what goes on today, it is a catchy tag to create a headline for the MSM.

I found this confusing. I first had to get a definition of Christian Nationalism which was actually in the article...
The writers define "Christian nationalism" as the "fusion of American civic life with a particular type of Christian identity and culture...blurr[ing] and conflat[ing] religious identity (Christian, preferably Protestant) with race (white), nativity (born in the United States), citizenship (American) and political ideology (social and fiscal conservative)." Keller adds that "it includes assumptions of nativism, white supremacy, patriarchy and heteronormativity, along with divine sanction for authoritarian control and militarism."
Is this a term created by critics of Christianity?
To me, Christianity, or any religion for that matter, crosses borders making them international. So what is Christian Nationalism? It is not the same as a Christian nation which would be a nation that follows the teachings and scriptures of Christianity.
This sounds like another way for liberal publications to throw stones at Christianity by tying it to white supremacy, patriarchy, heteronormativity (is that even a word?), authoritarianism, and militarism. it hits all the lefty buzzwords and even makes a few new ones. Does Christian nationalism even exist at all? Maybe in the minds of lefties.

Apparently not, since this country's Founders established it upon Biblical principles as most of them were Christian's themselves. Before them the pilgrims, who were Christian's fleeing discrimination, persecution and tyrannical governance in Europe, who finally had managed to gather in Holland where they set sail across the pond in search of freedom and a better life. This country's Constitution thus was based solidly upon Biblical principles rather than any man made human concept. The Founders continually sought God's Wisdom and this country try has thrived in freedom, prospered with opportunity and strived for Righteous goals for each individual. The immeasurable value of the Constitution has proved itself throughout the years in world history, whatever it is called. May God continue to bless the USA. ...May we be ever humbly be thankful for His Wisdom and Righteousness.

It worked for the founder fathers of this country and if not for them, there would be no country to bash.
It looks like instead of those who hate the country leaving, they are turning this country into a H-llhole.
