Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) likened basic election integrity measures embraced by several states, such as voter ID, to the era of Jim Crow and accused the GOP of attempting to suppress voters.(Snip)Speaking to his colleagues during the hearing, Schumer blasted Republican state legislatures, such as Georgia’s, for pursuing basic election integrity measures, calling it “infuriating” and accusing Republicans of being “afraid” of democracy and trying to prevent people from voting.(Snip)“The laws, their various cousins in Republican state legislatures across the country, are one of the greatest threats we have to modern democracy in America,” Schumer declared before citing the Washington Post:

Close your eyes and think back to a time in which you, your kids, or any other loved one received a vaccine.(Snip)People are being misled into believing they're virtuous and brave for taking a highly experimental vaccine that was hastily conceived and is the first mRNA vaccine ever distributed. We don't know what negative effects the vaccine will have on our bodies. We don't know if there will be side-effects or the possibility of death later on.(Snip)Ask yourself this: if the vaccine is truly normal, safe, and effective, would they really have to do all that they're doing to convince us?

During his confirmation hearing, now-Penatgon chief Lloyd Austin vowed to purge “ideological enemies...within our own ranks.” Wasting little time, he ordered a military-wide “stand down” to address extremism within our nation’s armed forces.(Snip) Apparently, some military members view the events at the Capitol on January 6th and the year-long BLM/antifa rioting, looting, vandalism, arson, and murder as equally problematic. This reportedly “worries” Pentagon officials.(Snip)Of course federal facilities, from ICE facilities to courthouses, were and continue to be targeted by BLM/antifa anarchists, but that’s different. They are protesting a righteous cause and thus not extremist. Or something.

A former federal prosecutor, Glenn Kirschner, has launched a campaign to force “every business in America” to take a pledge that states, in part, that “The 2020 presidential election was free and fair, and produced accurate, reliable results.” Any American business refusing to take this pledge, regardless of their own personal beliefs, will presumably be subjected to the cancel mob.(Snip)The final piece asks companies to “not support, donate to or endorse politicians, political campaigns or political action committees that promoted false conspiracy theories surrounding the 2020 presidential elections (or otherwise acted in ways contrary to a representative democracy).”

OBERLIN — Following the murders of eight people at Atlanta spas Tuesday night, Oberlin College has renewed its condemnation of violence against Asian Americans.(Snip)Another condemnation came even earlier, on March 7, from Meredith Gadsby, associate professor of Africana studies and comparative American studies, and Bill Quillen, dean of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. As co-chairs of Oberlin College's Presidential Initiative on Racial Equity and Diversity, they laid partial blame for attacks on "our national leadership in recent years," obliquely criticizing former President Donald Trump.(Snip)"Many in our communities hold multiple identities with which they navigate the messiness of American racial dynamics," they wrote.

The relentless de-platforming of conservatives in general and of the David Horowitz Freedom Center specifically, continues. On March 3rd the Editors at FrontPage received an email from Disqus, the networked community platform used by hundreds of thousands of sites all over the web. The statement reads: It has come to our attention that your site is included in the Hate Groups listed on the Southern Poverty Law Center Hate Map.(Snip)As of tomorrow, March 17th, Disqus is de-platforming us.(Snip)We are switching to a new service(Snip)we ask for your patience in getting used to the new section.

By now several people have reviewed a Daily Mail article based around a premise(Snip)that Meghan Markle might be “preparing a bid to become president” and that’s why she did the Oprah Winfrey interview.(Snip)Media stories often contain the fingerprints of motive, a slight truth hidden in a background of obfuscation,(Snip)The buried lede in the story is this short segment: […] “One senior Labour figure – a veteran of Tony Blair’s Downing Street administration with strong links to Washington – claimed to The Mail on Sunday that Ms Markle, 39, was networking among senior Democrats”(Snip)There it is: “networking among senior Democrats.” That’s the data point to focus on.

January 20, 2021. President Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. The scene, however, is devoid of any human presence.(Snip)The city is under the protection of 25,000 members of the National Guard, heavily armed. High barriers topped with razor wire surround the Capitol area.(Snip)The explanation given by city officials and the FBI was that there was a risk of serious disruption. Other inaugurations had faced disruption, but had never placed the city under siege.

I loved the Rush Limbaugh show.(Snip)The show serves a purpose--a purpose that we need fulfilled more now than ever. Unfortunately, it is not serving that purpose fully now. Rather than building on his legacy, we are wallowing in the sadness of his loss.(Snip)The radio show was never about the past; it was about the urgency of the present and the future. The show is an enormous asset to its owners and to America.(Snip)Rush always said he didn't want it "to be all about him.”(Snip)The owners are frittering away the fruits of all his work.

Now we watch the next move(s); as with everything in Obama’s third-term, if you watch the ‘other hand’ you will find the play… and bookmark this. With Garland confirmed there will be multiple people and groups who supported President Trump targeted by the U.S. Department of Justice.(Snip)but watch for JoeBama-Biden to move activist DC District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson (50), twenty years Garland’s junior, into the DC Circuit Appeals Court role.(Snip)Soon thereafter Supreme Court Justice Stephen Bryer announces his departure, and Judge Brown-Jackson is quickly nominated as Bryer’s replacement.

Even before President Biden’s new $1.9 trillion COVID “stimulus” package goes into effect, multiple news stories make clear the flaws in its approach. Washington’s welfare-industrial complex, which the “stimulus” will bloat even further, both discourages work and leads people to expect that government will solve the problems government has created.(Snip)Last week, the Washington Post profiled individuals who lost their jobs, yet faced thousands of dollars in unanticipated tax bills.(Snip)Heather Long did not address the implications of paying people more to remain on unemployment than they make while working,(Snip)or why such individuals could not use a portion of those windfalls to repay any excess Obamacare subsidies they received.

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, a professor at Stanford University Medical School, recently said that COVID-19 lockdowns are the "biggest public health mistake we've ever made...The harm to people is catastrophic."(Snip) He continued, "it's also not very equal. People who are poor face much more hardship from the lockdowns than people who are rich."(Snip)I stand behind my comment that the lockdowns are the single worst public health mistake in the last 100 years. We will be counting the catastrophic health and psychological harms, imposed on nearly every poor person on the face of the earth, for a generation.

According to DTN, the SPLC describes itself as a “nonprofit civil rights organization” dedicated to “tracking and exposing” the activities of “hate groups and other domestic extremists” throughout the United States. They are funded by individual donors as well as charitable foundations and philanthropies that include the Ford Foundation, George Soros’ Open Society Institute, Vanguard Public Foundation and the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. In 2010, the SPLC took in more than $36.1 in contributions and grants, plus $2.3 million in investment income; by that fiscal year’s end, its total assets amounted to $260,547,642. Clearly, any SPLC conservative target becomes “David” versus “Goliath.”
