The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by South African comedian Trevor Noah and boasting powerhouse performers Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, BTS, Billie Eilish, Post Malone and Megan Thee Stallion, drew a scant audience for CBS. This year’s telecast was the lowest-rated in Grammys history in the early numbers.
Per Nielsen Live+Same Day fast-affiliate numbers, Music’s Biggest Night garnered an average of 7.88 million viewers for the network during the ceremony’s broadcast on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET with a 1.9 rating in adults 18-49.
My Wife wanted to watch. It was horrid.

"Powerhouse performers." Well, that's problem right there. We don't have a culture, we have a clown show.

I bet they still made 3rd grade jokes about Trump. Politics are catching up with the 'entertainers'.

Didn't even know it was on, but wouldn't have watched anyway. The last thing I need is to see Hollywood commies patting each other on the back.

Trevor Noah is ten times funnier than Colin Jost, Michael Che and Pete Davidson all rolled into one...
That is still a big fat goose egg.

The article lost me at “powerhouse performers.” I wouldn’t know any of them from a PowerBar.

At the risk of derision and being accused of musical snobbery, the names of the "artists" that I now know of or care about has dwindled to a mere handfull.
There are a lot of different "genres" of musical catagories, but most have devolved away from my musical tastes.
Overly political with most attention paid to 'flash' and attention getting instead of music.
With the Oscar nominations coming out, which program will get lower ratings?
By determining which nominee is more 'work' or anti-social, its easy to pick the "winners'-- very few could stand comparison to the truly great performances of yesteryear, but somebody has to "win"

I continue to hope that the networks will dump these stupid award shows.

I only recognized one name, Taylor Swift...the rest will remain unknown to me....I couldn't watch as I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled without novacaine....perhaps the networks will dump these shows if the ratings go low enough...then again, maybe not...matters not to me and mine...

You mean I missed ANOTHER awards show. Well, sometimes you have to just go ahead and mate up those missing socks. And last night was the night I had to do it.

I didn't watch the Grammys; what's that? Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic is all I can say about the Grammys. I watched their video on Bruno Mars' channel, the official and the one they did for this show. Throwback music making a heavy comeback with "Leave the Door Open." I've been listening to a looped GoogleTube version all day. You know it's got to be good! A little bit of EWF, Dramatics, Jacksons, Heatwave, Cameo, Bootsy Collins, AWB, Stylistics, ConFunShun, and a little bit of 70s Soft Rock! Here for it all day! Good music. The young people today (since the end of the 90s) don't know good music.

Forgot to mention that the young men in this group are all musicians. I've never seen them use backup dancers either. If they have dancing in their sets, they do it themselves. Anderson Paak is a singing drummer.

The music is crap and so are most of the so called entertainers. The musical acts from decades ago were also not much to look at, but the music was at least fairly good.

I used to look forward to watching the Grammys. Now I couldn't name even one "pop" hit on the charts.
