Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, along with other Senate Dems, are urging the president to cancel $50,000 in student loan debt by using executive authority. Senators Schumer and Elizabeth Warren revealed a legal review on the use of executive authority is underway by the U.S. Department of Justice.
Executive action has already been used by Biden to continue the suspension of student loan payments until the end of September 2021.
Warren spoke to reporters on Monday and slammed student loan debt for "crushing millions of Americans."

The year 2021 could be a particularly “dangerous” year for Spain, thanks to Islamic State terrorists posing as migrants entering via Europe with “instructions” to attack, among other targets, churches in Spain. [SNIP] One of the more recent threats concerns Santiago de Compostela, a Christian shrine in Galicia, in the furthest northwest of the peninsula. Several messages among Muslim migrants mentioning it as a potential target have been intercepted, placing the pilgrimage site on high alert and tightening restrictions concerning foreign visitors from hotspot nations, such as Syria, Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan.

United Auto Workers is promising to act on behalf of Ford employees of Local 2000 if jobs promised for the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake are sent to Mexico. [SNIP]
UAW stated it gained commitments from Ford in 2019 for the plant, including an investment of $900 million and a next generation product to be added in 2023. UAW said Ford will not honor its commitment and intends to build a next generation vehicle in Mexico.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has slammed a performance at Sunday night's Grammy Awards saying it was 'intentionally trying to degrade our culture and hurt our children.'
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's dance routine for their song WAP contained x-rated pole-dancing by the pair leading to criticism online and one anti-porn group labeled the performance as 'hardcore' porn.
The dueling rappers left little to the imagination in their ode to female anatomy, marking the first time they've performed the hit live.

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by South African comedian Trevor Noah and boasting powerhouse performers Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, BTS, Billie Eilish, Post Malone and Megan Thee Stallion, drew a scant audience for CBS. This year’s telecast was the lowest-rated in Grammys history in the early numbers.
Per Nielsen Live+Same Day fast-affiliate numbers, Music’s Biggest Night garnered an average of 7.88 million viewers for the network during the ceremony’s broadcast on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET with a 1.9 rating in adults 18-49.

The Biden administration has managed to quickly duplicate the Obama administration's disastrous foreign policy of appeasement. Now it's busy copying its opposition campaign.
One of the dumber campaigns by the Obama administration was Operation Rushbo.
Operation Rushbo was a campaign by Obama's people to target Rush Limbaugh personally, as the most outspoken voice in the conservative movement, and to, seemingly 'destroy' the conservative movement by making Limbaugh into its public face. [SNIP] Now, the Biden administration has decided to relaunch Operation Rushbo to target Tucker Carlson.

The Justice Department and FBI are gathering evidence to try to build a large conspiracy indictment against members of the Oath Keepers for their roles in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, according to people familiar with the matter, but the group’s sometimes fractious and fantasy-laden internal workings may complicate efforts to bring such a case.
In the wake of the short-lived insurrection, the Oath Keepers is the most high-profile, self-styled militia group in the country. While members use the jargon and trappings of a paramilitary organization, in daily practice they are often more akin to a collection of local chapters with a similar, conspiracy theory-fueled ideology..."

A number of high-ranking military officers are using their official social media accounts to denounce Fox News host Tucker Carlson over recent claims that maternity flight suits for pregnant fliers and new directives that loosen hair regulations to accommodate females in the ranks are “making a mockery” of the U.S. military. [SNIP]
On his popular show that aired Tuesday, Mr. Carlson said Chinese military officials are pushing for their armed forces to toughen up while the Pentagon is more focused on programs aimed at increasing diversity and inclusion in the military — such as updating hair regulations and testing flight suits for pregnant women.

The media loves to churn out, "What we don't talk about when we talk about X" pieces. Those pieces are invariably talking about the things that the media talks about non-stop. Meanwhile, many of the things that it does talk about have notable omissions.
Anti-Asian hate crimes are constantly talked about, but not who's committing them.
Oakland’s Chinatown had suffered over 20 attacks against the elderly and women in two weeks.
The wave of attacks against Asian people in Oakland, like the previous attacks in New York that I documented, are being carried out by minorities with a criminal record, not by conservatives.

Rep. Anthony Gonzalez put his political career at risk when he voted to impeach Donald Trump in January for his role in the U.S. Capitol riot.
The decision created backlash and political opponents within his own Republican Party. But, at least one Republican group, has his back.
The Republican Accountability Project launched a $1 million television and billboard campaign to express support for all Republicans who voted for impeachment. Defending Democracy Together, a right-learning anti-Trump advocacy group, is behind the initiative.

I have been telling parents for decades that sending a child to almost any college is playing Russian roulette with his or her values.
But it is a different version of Russian roulette. In the traditional version, only one of the gun's six chambers contains a bullet. In the college version of Russian roulette, 5 of the 6 chambers contain a bullet. If your child attends almost any university in America (or Canada or anywhere else in the English-speaking world), the odds are that your child's decency, intellectual acuity, faculty of reason, character and moral compass will be damaged, perhaps permanently.
