Will Be Even Harder

The vaccine rollout is not going as planned. Since mid-December, the U.S. has distributed 21.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines; fewer than one-third have actually made it into people’s arms. The problems have been many and varied: holiday delays, scheduling scams, long lines in some places, and not enough demand in others. These initial kinks are getting worked out, but that alone will not get us back to normal anytime soon. The next phase of the vaccine campaign—reaching tens of millions of elderly people and essential workers, along with the rest of the community—will be even harder.

Most sane people are afraid of this vaccine. It's untested and no idea what long term problems might occur. Saw on the news this morning my state has over 190,000 vials of the vaccine and only about 4500 have appointments to get it. We all know what will come next, don't we.

Fauci said 85% of the population (that would include children) must be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. Some with heavier duty credentials than Fauci say that vaccine will not bring herd immunity.
When will we hear about those who have recovered - the numbers - rather than the dubious death toll, which is part of the fear porn being foisted on us?

Vaccinate TEACHERS! If only to shut 'em up and get them back in the classroom for the sake of both our future and our economy.

FTA:
On the most basic level, scale creates new challenges. And the first coronavirus vaccines require very particular storage conditions and skill to administer, adding to the difficulty.
We’re seeing them administered to persons in long lines of cars. Driveup vaccinations. How are the storage conditions maintained under those circumstances? Skill to administer? A jab through a car window? I don’t think so.

Joe-Joe promised 100 million vaccinations in 100 days. I guess they plan to hunt people down and force them to get jabbed. Low risk individuals will be in no rush to get in line.

The Atlantic is a worthless, lying propaganda outlet. I won't even bother.
Mark Twain was right. "If you don't read the newspapers, you are uninformed. If you do read the newspapers you are misinformed."
Screwed either way.

Extensive talk about providing vaccinations only in a social-justice manner, such as to "people of color" first. OK by me - by the time my chance (as a white hetero conservative male) the problems with the vaccines should be readily apparent.

Coincidentally, I was in the Michigan Dept of Health website and was looking at the criteria for whom will be prioritized on the list. High on the list, was the 'Justice' category which Gov Witchmer has prioritized since (and before) taking office. I don't think I need to define that. Suffice it to say, it's not about age, or other underlying conditions as much as it is the "overlying" type of 'condition'.

Alibis defending those slow-walking vaccinations because they don't want the pandemic to end. It provides oo many opportunities to grab power over people's lives, i.e., shutting down churches and small businesses.

Don’t worry the “Big Guy” Biden while sitting in his basement with Doctor Jill has thought all this out and has come up with a plan, throw all the vaccine possible out there and let the chips fall where they may. That’s how he will get 100 million doses out there in 100 days. No problem with the homeless community as most of those folks can give themselves their own injections of the vaccine. So what could go wrong? Who knows when things turn sour Biden can always blame Trump, just as when Obama blamed Bush.
