Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Wisconsin's statewide election drew to a close Tuesday evening after an 11th-hour scramble, long, socially-distanced lines at the polls, jury-rigged safety Plexiglass barriers, masks, cleaning supplies and a taunt directed at Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers by President Trump. Evers had sought to delay voting until June but the election went forward after a last-minute intervention by the state Supreme Court on behalf of the Republican leaders in the state legislature, who insisted a vote could be safely carried out and that Evers lacked the power to change the date.

Democrats really get upset when a court tells them the rules apply to them too. As far as NPR is concerned, they shouldn't exist anymore.

Many if not most locations managed to plan and adapt for onsite voting. Milwaukee's Democrat mayor chose to hang all his hopes on the Governor's last minute illegal attempt to overthrow the election and did not seriously plan to conduct the election. What is at stake was the statewide election for State Supreme Court. Milwaukee and Dane county (which managed to conduct the voting without major problem) would normally be expected to vote for the ultra liberal candidate, the rest of the state not so much. The plan apparently was to run early voting to build up the liberal votes and then to throw the rest of the election into chaos to minimize voting from more conservative areas. At the last minute the State Election commission directed that votes not be counted and results released until next Monday. If nothing else the intentional chaos will provide fodder for the lawyers to contest the result. Of note, the Milwaukee Mayor was in a race against a liberal black woman. Maybe he had another vested interest in suppressing the vote. Underlying this effort was the Democrat attempt to undermine voter ID requirements as seen elsewhere.

The media were freaked out. The videos showed people with masks and in most cases 12 -20 ft between themselves, call it "social super distancing". Why was this a problem? Go wait in line, far from anyone else, and then vote? Wipe down your hands with alcohol....go home.

Its not like the virus started yesterday. The Democrat governor had two months to work with the legislature to cancel, change, or modify, the election by passing or changing the election laws. The Governor chose to wait until the day before the election to cancel / move the date. The courts said no, you can't cancel now due to election laws. The SCOTUS said no, you can't change how absentee ballots are counted because of election laws. Unfortunately, laws are blind to things like pandemics. Trump is correct. Blame the Governor who had two months to address this election. He purposely did not change it so that the Democrat's could have one more election election related issue to try to hang on President Trumps neck. Wisconsin is responsible for Wisconsin's elections as Wisconsin's laws are written, not the President or the courts.

The silly little pressitutes were trying to blame President Trump if people caught the virus because of the long lines for live and in person voting. Mr. Trump told them to go ask the governor that question. He said he doesn't run Wisconsin, why ask him that question. Silly little pressitutes.

I went right in to vote but live in an outlying area. Milwaukee and Madison are the cesspools of Wisconsin but yet they keep voting for the Democrats. Mayor Tom Barrett of Milwaukee is a joke. All he is interested in is his trolley. In the 2018 election for governor, Tony Evers won against Scott Walker. At the last minute I think around midnight, they discovered two to four bags of votes and, presto magic, Tony Evers won by 30,000 votes. Yeppers, there are a lot of people who win things and get things done but have not done it in an honorable way.
