In an interview with the British magazine Attitude, Lucien Greaves, the co-founder of The Satanic Temple in the United States, says that "more than 50% of our membership is LGBTQ," and that is a "conservative estimate." Attitude is a best-selling gay magazine, founded in 1994. The Satanic Temple was founded in 2013 and it promotes a secular humanist agenda. There had been a crash on the Howard Frankland Bridge, the trooper said, and a white SUV registered to this address had gone over the barrier and into the waters of Tampa Bay.

Mumps has swept through 57 immigration detention facilities in 19 states since September, according to the first US government report on the outbreaks in the overloaded immigration system.
The virus sickened 898 adult migrants and 33 detention center staffers, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in its report Thursday.

Recent polls have shown that most Americans believe that homosexuals are “born that way” rather than become gay as the result of environmental factors. In fact, perpetuating the belief that sexual orientation is innate has been crucial to the gay rights movement. According to the most recent Gallup Poll on the subject, 88 percent of people who believe homosexuals are “born that way” support the legality of same-sex marriage, while only 39 percent of those who believe homosexuality is the result of environmental factors support the legality of same-sex marriage.

Reaction came swiftly on Thursday, after the Justice Department inspector general released a report saying that former FBI Director James Comey failed to live up to his responsibility to protect sensitive information.
And by using sensitive information to force the appointment of a special prosecutor, the OIG found that Comey "set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees -- and the many thousands more former FBI employees -- who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information."

I feel sorry for my nine-year-old niece, who is about to start fourth grade in the Chicago Public School System. According to the Chicago Tribune, Illinois has passed a law requiring that "the history curriculum in public schools include lessons on [sic] the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Illinois and the United States. The lessons must be taught to students before they complete the eighth grade." The law is set to go into effect in 2020.

Ironically, most of those in the "largest religious group" in the Democratic Party are utterly irreligious except for their belief in big government — and their own infallibility.

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a report Thursday outlining a wide range of serious misconduct by former FBI Director James Comey. Concluding that “Comey set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees … who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information,” the 83-page report implicitly vindicated President Trump’s decision to fire the rogue FBI director in May 2017. The Office of the Inspector General also confirmed that Comey improperly leaked highly sensitive material to the media for the express purpose of pressuring the Justice Department to appoint a special counsel to investigate the 2016 presidential election.

On September 23, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will host the 2019 Climate Action Summit at UN headquarters. The brother of Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles was hit with a murder charge Thursday for his alleged involvement in a triple homicide in Ohio on New Year’s Eve, a report said.
Tevin Biles-Thomas, 24, was arrested Thursday and also charged with voluntary manslaughter, felonious assault and perjury, Cleveland.com reported.
Biles-Thomas allegedly took part in the shooting that happened soon before midnight on Dec. 31 at a party at an AirBnb rental apartment above a pizzeria in the Brooklyn Centre section of the city, according to the report.
The shooting happened after a group of people showed up to the party uninvited and were asked to leave, Cleveland.com reported.

The European Union has extended for a further five years anti-dumping duties on Chinese bicycles, the bloc said in its official journal on Thursday, after concluding that any lifting of measures would lead to a flood of imports. Imported Chinese bicycles have been subject to anti-dumping duties since 1993, currently with an import tariff of up to 48.5%.
The extended duties are the latest in a series of EU measures against Chinese exports ranging from solar panels to steel, which have sparked strong words from Beijing.
