President Trump is accused on a minute-by-minute basis of being a tyrant, but his accusers remain free. Nothing has been taken from them, not their property nor their personal liberty. (snip) Eventually, there will be conflict, which brings us to the Second Amendment. The fate of everything the Left intends depends in the end on whether normal, non-communist Americans have the power to make the price of dictatorship so high that the Left will be unwilling to force it to completion.

Just remember, an armed man is a citizen, an unarmed man is a slave.

If the left really believed Trump was inclined to be a dictator the last thing they would be clamoring for is gun control. To play the "find the dictator" game all you need to do is look for the source of the call for gun control.
Remember when we were ridiculed for calling out democrats for being socialists? Now they wear the label with pride.
Remember when we heard the democrats say "nobody want's to take your guns away? Funny, now they openly admit they stand for confiscation.
As Dennis Green famously said once of the Chicago Bears: "they are what we thought they were."

The Democrat Party has been the party of tyranny and oppression since its conception...slavery, Jim Crow, KKK, opposition to Women's Suffrage, segregation, anti-Second amendment, Pro abortion...you name it...they are all for anything that takes your rights away and lets them rule

Amen brothers I say, the left is not ready to pay for their Dictatorship, with their own blood.
Hopefully they will want some village idiot to do the job for them. However the more they use this tactic, the smaller the pool of village idiots become.

You know, I'm trying to think of a country with a dictatorship where the common folks are allowed to have guns but I don't know of any. We must never ever weaken our gun laws because once gun rights are lost we will never regain them.

Just to remind you lefties, Hitler and Stalin loved gun control, particularly when their useful idiots were put up against a wall and shot.

FTA: "Democrats will again weaponize information, this time publishing names and addresses of gun owners and urging indoctrinated radicals, backed by complicit politicians, to go to those homes and do whatever they feel is necessary to make the locality “safe.” This will be intended to cause gun owners to question whether gun ownership, and the assault on them and their families, is worth the terror the fascists will cause."
Well, that's one scenario but even conservative authors and many of their readers tend to miss an alternative scenario. The 2nd amendment doesn't require a normal American to wait passively within their homes for a chance to repel attackers from their front porches. The real deterrent value of the 2nd amendment, which is the apparent theme of the article, is the likelihood of large numbers of normal Americans taking the fight directly to the communists and their media and politician enablers.
Remember the progressive patron saint, Mao Zedong? Mao wrote in Problems of War and Strategy, "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun." He followed that with, "Our principle is that the Party commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party." That's why today's progressives are dead-set against such power being a two-way street and have been playing the long game in incrementally doing away with the Bill of Rights, the 2nd amendment in particular.

I don't often quote China's Chairman Mao, but he said one thing that I agree with:
"Political Power comes from the Barrel of a Gun."
So..... just what IS political power?
To me:
1) Political Power over Yourself is the he ability to do what YOU want to do, rather than what someone Else wants you to do.
2) Political Power over someone Else is the ability to make them do what YOU want them to do, rather than what THEY want to do.
An Unarmed population is at the whim of a relatively small group of armed persons, as the armed persons can order them around at will. They have NO political power.
An Armed population is much better able to Resist being ordered around. Being armed, they can fight back against the small group who would order them around. If the population has arms with effectiveness equal to those of the small group, then the Population, with its greater numbers, has the greater political power.
In a Free Society, the Political Power should be evenly distributed among the Citizens, so that, in bulk, the the Citizens have the Political Power, not a small 'elite' who would rule over everyone else.
Arms- be it firearms or to a lesser degree, other arms such as a sword or a knife, are, in the extreme, when votes are no longer counted and no longer count, what gives a single person their own political power in their ability to resist Tyranny.
For this reason, the even distribution of Political Power among the Citizens, I support the Right of each Citizen to have , to Keep, to Carry, to Bear, and to freely buy and sell, WITHOUT Government 'Registration' or 'License', firearms and other Arms.
'Universal registration', the Government knowing who owns every firearm, makes it possible for a Tyrannical government to go around and take away the population's guns, either all at once, or one person at a time in a piecemeal fashion.
As my Dad, a WWII US Marine Staff Sergeant told me, speaking about firearms :
"Registration is ALWAYS followed by CONFISCATION."
Unfortunately, there are always evil people trying to take away our Freedom.
To do that, they take away our Political Power.
The first step in doing that, is to take away our Guns.
By the way, in Britain, they have already taken away the people's Guns, and (with the many articles condemning so-called "Knife Crime") they are working on taking away people's Knives as well.
Is it any wonder that in Britain, the people are no longer free.....people are Jailed for merely expressing their Opinion, if it is not in Conformance with Official Government Policy?

FTA:
"Eventually, there will be conflict, which brings us to the Second Amendment. The fate of everything the Left intends depends in the end on whether normal, non-communist Americans have the power to make the price of dictatorship so high that the Left will be unwilling to force it to completion. If Americans can be disarmed and neutralized, they can be imprisoned without trials. If they can be made powerless, they can be shot at without fear that they’ll shoot back. If they can be conquered, they can be subjugated and made to serve their totalitarian masters. "
THAT, is why we have the 2nd Amendment. It is not about hunting at all, and only peripherally about defense against ordinary criminals. It is defense against THE GOVERNMENT, if said government becomes tyrannical. If you read "The Federalist Papers", the 'discussion and explanation' for the US Constitution, it is extremely clear, not the slightest possibility of confusion about what the intent of
the Founding Fathers was.

#12, excellent post. And might I add arms also extends to machine guns, artillery, mortars, apache helicopters, destroyers, m1a tanks, etc. For those nonplussed by that list; who do you think owned the cannons the British were marching to confiscate? Or the armed ships congress encouraged to attack our nation's enemies? Hint: It wasn't the government. It was individual citizens.
