The first New York Times headline for tomorrow was presented with text: “Trump Urges Unity VS. Racism”… (see below) [Picture] … This triggered the mob; who immediately began an apoplectic outrage campaign against the publication. So the editors jumped quick to the typeset to correct their headline, acquiesce and engineer a more adversarial narrative; as below.

The five officers were treated at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Their injuries were minor. The bottle was made of glass, according to Evans’ criminal complaint. No officers were injured when concrete was thrown at them around 4 p.m.

GIBSONTON — A Walmart Supercenter was evacuated Sunday after a caller threatened to shoot up the place, deputies said.
The threat was made in the wake of two mass shootings this past weekend in Texas and Ohio that killed at least 29 people.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office determined there was no immediate danger to the Walmart, but promised to locate the caller and charge them with a felony for making a terroristic threat.
Later that night, deputies kept their word: Wayne Lee Padgett, 31, of Valrico, was arrested on a felony charge of filing a false report of using a firearm in a violent manner.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick explicitly warned the left-wing group Antifa against coming to the state following Saturday's mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart.
The shooting came 29 days before a scheduled visit from Antifa, which planned to conduct a "Border Resistance" militancy training tour.
"Stay out of El Paso," Patrick told Antifa during an appearance Fox News. He noted that while the group wasn't usually welcome in Texas, they especially weren't welcome after the shooting. "Stay out of Texas, basically," Patrick said. "We don't need them coming in on Sept. 1. We didn't need them coming in before this happened."

Ohio shooting suspect Connor Betts was a registered Democrat who posted pro-socialist content on a social media account along with repeated indications that he favored gun control, pushing for violence against “fascists” and white supremacists, and describing himself as a Satanist.
Betts described himself as a “leftist” on his Twitter profile and used hashtags on one selfie that included “selfie4satan” and “HailSatan.”
Betts shared videos from Some More News that were anti-Republican, including one from host Cody Johnston that claimed “the president wants to shoot migrants at the border.”
Betts also repeatedly indicated his support for gun control, writing in one missive, “This is America:

Dayton, Ohio police have released surveillance video that captures footage from the mass shooting that killed nine people and wounded several others.
Dayton Police Chief Richard Biehl released the surveillance video at a press conference Sunday afternoon.
In the video, captured by a nearby business in Dayton’s Oregon District, you can see officers running toward the gunfire to locate the suspect. You can also see people running away from the scene of the shooting. Toward the end of the surveillance video, you can see police fatally shoot the alleged gunman, Connor Betts, 24.
As if the El Paso mass murder couldn't be a more noxious showcase for political bad behavior, in wades the Mexican government, launching lawsuits against the U.S. for supposedly failing to protect its citizens, which is something they've never bothered about before. According to NBC News:

“They say more guns will help,” said activist Marti Gould Cummings. “Well, Walmart sells guns. Did it help?”
Gays Against Guns, a group formed in the aftermath of the Pulse shooting in Orlando, has lobbied for gun control through three years of die-ins and protests.

McMINNVILLE, Tenn- A federal lawsuit accuses the brother of former Vice President Joe Biden, hedge fund manager Michael Lewitt and others of attempting to defraud a Tennessee business. The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that the defendants have until mid-August to respond to the lawsuit filed last month by Michael Frey and Dr. Mohannad Azzam. It says the plaintiffs founded Diverse Medical Management to reform failing rural hospitals, and Jim Biden promised to sell the health care plan to investors. It says Biden and Lewitt then urged the plaintiffs to borrow $10 million from Lewitt that would be repaid by investors.

Gallup recently announced that forty percent of all Americans believe in creationism. A better storyline to its recent polling data might be that only one in five Americans believes in Darwinism, which was a wobbly theory when first proposed almost two centuries ago and which has become an increasingly improbable explanation for the origin of life and species during the last two hundred years. That would be a better storyline, but it is not the storyline presented by Gallup.

The Democrats are making a mistake, in our view, in trying to blame the crimes at El Paso on President Trump. It’s not that we don’t see the temptation. “El Paso Shooting Suspect’s Manifesto Echoes Trump’s Language,” is the headline on the New York Times’ Website this morning about the screed being laid to the killer. No doubt about it, there is much at which supporters of Mr. Trump will cringe.

Like clockwork, calls for more gun control have commenced. Democrats are even trying to pressure Mitch McConnell to cancel the Senate recess so they can vote on gun control.
A common myth you can expect to hear a lot in the coming days and weeks is that the United States “leads the world in mass shootings” and therefore we must pass some law that will do nothing to stop future mass shootings, but will infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners.

The new rules in effect neutralize loopholes in the Truth in Caller ID Act, which banned spoofing domestic calls but made it hard for the FCC to prosecute against perpetrators of scam text messages and international calls.
