The Trump administration is working to determine a way to include a citizenship question on the 2020 Census after a federal judge gave them until 2 p.m. Friday to resolve the issue. President Donald Trump tweeted Thursday that officials were working through the holiday.

They should be working through the holiday. It was pretty outrageous for the attorneys for the Census Bureau and the DOJ to respond in their transcript with the Judge in the case that they did not know what the President's policy was, when they agreed not to proceed with contesting the Supreme Court delay. These bureaucrats think they are independent of the Executive Dept., not true. They know darn well what Trump's policy is.

#1, were I Barr, I would see some lawyers that we no longer needed. Not to mention, the Federal judge should have tossed the case on its face. So there's a judge we don't need on the federal payroll, too.

I'm getting a bit tired of pansy-assed so-called "federal district judges" being the tails that wag this Administration's dog.

I don't remember from the last census, before Obammie removed the question, but doesn't it somewhere in there ask the city/state where you were born??? So what's the big ruckus...the information is there, 'mine' it....

Just DO IT.
This is a purely Executive Branch matter and the Judiciary has only co-equal power, NOT greater power.
Tell the Supremes that you do not recognize their power over an Executive Branch issue, and just ignore their tantrums. I suspect that Roberts will not be willing to make a huge stink and risk unmasking the impotence of the SCOTUS.

If they don't include the question on citizenship on the census form, just take it upon yourself to write it in, and answer it.

#5, the problem is that you can be a legitimate citizen of the United States and NOT be born here, including ones that are not immigrants.
What's-is-name (old age setting in), the Mormon guy who ran for President, wasn't he born in Mexico?

I worked over the holiday also. Do you think this kitchen cleans itself? I did the laundry that somehow wouldn't keep itself clean for even an National holiday. /s
Maybe we could call a Day of Remembrance and remember when the Kenyan did a 'lot of stuff' by Executive Order. It wasn't right, of course, but all the libs on the left thought it was waay cool. Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Cool.

This will be a winning issue for President Trump even if the one obviously Never Trump Chief Justice again joins with the four liberal Democrat Justices in a Supreme Court ruling to keep the citizenship question off the 2020 Census.
As common sense will tell you that a huge percentage of US Citizens across the country, who will vote in the 2020 election, would have no problem in answering the citizenship question and will support Trump on that issue. Clearly the country at large has the right to know how many US citizens there are in the USA, along with how many aliens are in the USA both illegally and legally, and the federal census is the way to do that.
For over a decade the leftist and liberal Democrats have used the constant lowball figure of 11 million people to describe the strength of the vast illegal alien population, that has to be wrong with the Border Patrol catching over 3 thousand illegal aliens trying to gain unlawful entry to the USA each day. For all anyone knows the true illegal alien population may total 22-25 million mostly poor, uneducated people, and socialist minded people to who the Democrats want to grant amnesty and US voting rights believing that the vast majority would become natural Democrat socialist voters.
