Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a member of the House Oversight Committee. Seriously. The 29-year-old former bartender who has been a member of Congress for less than three months sits on one of the most important committees in government (yet she still finds time to complain about $7 croissants at LaGuardia Airport). On Tuesday, the chairman of the committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), called on the Democratic socialist during a hearing into allegations from a whistle blower that the Trump administration granted security clearance to some who had been denied because they had “serious disqualifying issues.”

President Trump spoke at the NRCC Spring Dinner on Tuesday night in Washington DC. Trump said he is confident Republicans will retake the House in 2020 after losing control of the lower chamber in last year’s midterm elections. With Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib continuing to spew their hatred and nonsense, he’s probably right. President Trump also took a swipe at Joe Biden.

Police arrested and charged 33-year-old Jorge Rios for the murder of Carolina Cano, a 45-year-old nanny living in New Jersey. Ms. Cano’s roommate told police she went out for a jog at a nearby park at 5:30 AM on March 24th and never came home — Cano’s body was later discovered in a New Jersey lake. Carolina Cano walked through this same park every Sunday on her way to church. Sad. Investigators say Carolina Cano was strangled, raped, then submerged in the lake. Fox News reported that according to multiple sources, Jorge Rios is an illegal alien from Honduras.

Turkish voters punished their ruling party in municipal elections over the weekend. Is there any number of illegal border crossings into the United States that would strike Democrats as an emergency? As they resisted President Trump´s efforts to stem the flow of illegal migrants across the U.S.-Mexico border, many Democrats made the point that fewer migrants are coming today than years ago, during the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush presidencies. The implication was that today´s situation cannot be an emergency, because it used to be worse. That doesn´t make sense, of course. One could argue that crossings were an unaddressed emergency back then, and that today´s figures, although lower, also qualify as an

What is justice? This complicated question is the subject of much study by philosophers, lawyers, clergy, and laymen. It is often easier to determine the metes and bounds of justice from what it is not than to define what it is in the abstract. To avoid violation of sanctions ban, Beijing is said to be issuing temporary visas against work

One person who has direct, long, and painful personal experience of the Mueller inquiry is George Papadopoulos. (snip) "The democrats have absolutely no idea what they are wishing for in terms of releasing the full Mueller report. It will detail all the western intelligence operatives and US allies (UK, Australia, Italy)" I have long suspected that President Trump has a story arc – a term of art from continuing television dramas (including reality TV, at which Trump is the greatest practitioner in history) – in mind for handling Mueller.

Grrr. Delayed ! This one is under the radar, and yet may be a big reveal. Federal Judge delays compliance and production day to April 8th… (image - Minute Order) Original story below. There’s a somewhat sketchy background here that’s a little bit more granular and important than is being outlined. The redacted Comey memos were originally released to congress and the media. However, the unredacted memos -and more importantly the reason for the redactions– has never been held up to scrutiny.

t has never made sense that U.S. Person Carter Page was an FBI witness from 2013 through to March/May 2016 and yet in October 2016, to achieve a FISA warrant, the FBI called him an agent of a foreign government. [FISA APPLICATION]It just never made any sense; perhaps, until today. Put yourself in the mindset within the highly political small group at the DOJ and FBI who have a plan to help Hillary Clinton win the presidency. From October 2015 through early March 2016 Fusion GPS was assembling opposition research on all the GOP candidates. However, mid-March

Monday on ABC’s “The View,” co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan McCain and Joy Behar defended former Vice President Joe Biden in the wake of former Nevada lawmaker Lucy Flores’ claim he inappropriately touched and kissed her in 2014 at a campaign rally. Goldberg said, “Listen, in the old days we would call Joe—some folks of a certain age would say he’s overly familiar. Most politicians when they’re doing this with you, they are—Joe is a hands-on kind of guy. I’ve never heard anyone—she says she felt violated. I have to take her at her word.

For over two years, we have been tormented or delighted, depending on one´s political preference, by the opinions and or declarations avowing President Trump´s guilt with regard to collusion with Russia. The question is why do they seem to be the least bright people on the public stage?

Valerie Jarrett reportedly writes in her new book that she confronted former President Obama over a "macho atmosphere" in the White House, where she served as senior adviser, adding that female staff members initially felt intimidated during his time in office. Axios, which obtained a copy of "Finding My Voice: My Journey to the West Wing and the Path Forward," reported Tuesday that Jarrett writes that she told Obama that women "rarely talk" in meetings, adding that "when you aren´t there to ask their opinion, they are becoming increasingly mute." A spokesperson for Joe Biden pushed back forcefully on Monday at a "cottage industry of lies" he said has formed about the former vice president supposedly crossing a line between affectionate or supportive behavior with women to something inappropriate. Biden spokesman Bill Russo in a lengthy statement emailed to reporters highlighted two images of Biden with different women that he said had been repeatedly taken out of context — one with Stephanie Carter, who is married to former Defense Secretary Ash Carter, and a second with Sen. Christopher Coons´s (D-Del.) daughter.

A White House whistleblower told lawmakers that more than two-dozen denials for security clearances have been overturned during the Trump administration, calling Congress her “last hope” for addressing what she considers improper conduct that has left the nation’s secrets exposed. Tricia Newbold, a longtime White House security adviser, told the House Oversight and Reform Committee that she and her colleagues issued “dozens” of denials for security clearance applications that were later approved despite their concerns about blackmail, foreign influence, or other red flags, according to panel documents released Monday.

Two years after leaving office, Joe Biden couldn’t resist the temptation last year to brag to an audience of foreign policy specialists about the time as vice president that he strong-armed Ukraine into firing its top prosecutor. In his own words, with video cameras rolling, Biden described how he threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in March 2016 that the Obama administration would pull $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, sending the former Soviet republic toward insolvency, if it didn’t immediately fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

Facing nuclear war and the end of all human life in the 1964 dark comedy “Dr. Strangelove,” a U.S. general and a Russian ambassador get into a physical struggle. “Gentlemen,” yells the U.S. president, “you can’t fight in here. This is the War Room!” The humorous insanity of that moment leapt to mind in recent days while watching the crazed reactions to the special prosecutor reporting no evidence of collusion with Russians by Donald Trump in the 2016 election. The diverse individual reactions, ranging from hypocritical praise to absolute denial, matter less than the overall canvas of so many dysfunctional democratic institutions

REPARATIONS FOR American slavery are a misbegotten idea, unworkable and unjust, but every now and then they come back into vogue as a political talking point. In 1969, the radical civil rights activist James Forman made headlines when he seized the pulpit of New York´s Riverside Church and issued a "black manifesto"demanding $500 million in reparations for African enslavement. Thirty years later, Randall Robinson, founder of the black social-justice organization TransAfrica, revived the reparations movement with his bestselling book The Debt: What America Owes to Blacks. Addressing charges that Joe Biden behaved inappropriately toward former Nevada legislator Lucy Flores, a spokesperson for the likely presidential candidate said, “Neither then, nor in the years since, did he or the staff with him at the time have an inkling that Ms. Flores had been at any time uncomfortable, nor do they recall what she describes.” (Snip)According to the standards of culpability that Biden has articulated in similarly conflicted situations, however, it’s an open-and-shut case. So. Here we are on the good side of history as the United States of America, God’s greatest gift to the human race, has just escaped a media/leftist coup. Ever since Mr. Trump defied all of the pundits and the pollsters and won the election in November of 2016, the media and the leftists have been planning and executing a leftist/media coup against the Constitution. The bare bones of the coup were apparent almost immediately. The media swore up and down that there had been “collusion” between the Trump campaigns and Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton

A federal judge on Thursday rejected Nestle’s bid to dismiss a revised lawsuit claiming that it defrauded consumers by filling bottles of its Poland Spring water with ordinary groundwater. US District Judge Jeffrey Alker Meyer said consumers from eight Northeastern states may pursue claims that Nestle Waters North America deceived them into overpaying by labeling Poland Spring as “100% Natural Spring Water.” The New Haven, Connecticut-based judge allowed claims on behalf of consumers from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. In a baffling twist of logic, the intense IRS focus on Humphreys County is actually because so many of its taxpayers are poor. More than half of the county’s taxpayers claim the earned income tax credit, a program designed to help boost low-income workers out of poverty. As we reported last year, the IRS audits EITC recipients at higher rates than all but the richest Americans, a response to pressure from congressional Republicans to root out incorrect payments of the credit. The study estimates that Humphreys, with a median annual household income of just $26,000,

Hundreds of mourners who had gathered Monday night to remember Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle fled the memorial in droves after inaccurate reports of shots fired in the area. Several police officers worked to control the frightened crowd and track down more information about what had prompted the commotion, which started just after 8 p.m. While a member of the crowd shared some words on the late rapper, dozens of people who had gathered outside Hussle’s store started running away. People fell on top of each other as they tried to flee amid the dense crowd,
